Was really looking forward to our family enjoying the weekend together but had to end the trip less than 12 hrs after it began due to the fact there were bed bugs.

Good house to stay for the weekend. Definitely an older home with a rustic cabin feel in a secluded location. I know it says AWD or 4WD is needed in the description, and that is absolutely correct. I’m not sure anything less would make it up the road to the cabin. I would also strongly advise getting there before dark. All in all a good place to stay.

The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is quite. The approach to the house is a difficult one though and definitely requires 4 wheel drive. We were very grateful that we had it, but it wasn't very obvious on this site that we needed it. All in all, if you can get there, it's a great place and very close to all the places you want to go in the area!

We did not stay a single night. Luckily I went by myself to check in our first night.
Horrific experience is an understatement.
GPS has no idea where this place is. It was the middle of the night. After I “luckily” found it I was amazed that the place is even listed on Vrbo and Vacasa! Do y’all even send someone out to see the properties? IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PARK 2 VEHICLES, MUCH LESS 3! THERE IS NO ROOM TO TURN AROUND.
WE DID NOT STAY THERE A SINGLE NIGHT.
HORRIFIC.
I’ve stayed with Vrbo and Vacasa many times. Never have I not stayed where I PAID to stay.
We had to get hotel rooms at extra cost and one of our guests just cancelled his trip all together.
Inexcusable. Period.

This is the second time we have stayed here as a group and the house itself is great. 10 guys on a fishing trip and it has plenty of space. Communication with the company that now owns the property was lacking. tried getting in touch twice in the days before and no responses.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the hot tub, and the comfortable setting.
Not a knock on the place at all, since it's right in the listing - but you do need a 4WD vehicle to get up the road to the cabin. They aren't just being cautious.

Nice rustic cabin in the heart of the mountains. Clean and well kept. Perfect location within an hour of most main attractions. It is high in the trees and there is nothing better than rocking or swinging on the front porch! It is not a "glitz and glamour" type of cabin, but it is truly a perfect mountain escape from the hustle and bustle. Loved it.

This cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was great for relaxing in the evenings. The surroundings are so peaceful.... we particularly enjoyed the mountain views, fresh air, and waking up to the sounds of nature. The cabin is secluded, but just a short drive from Cherokee and the GSM National Park. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend!
Things to know: The driveway is STEEP (but this was clearly explained in the listing), and is extra difficult when it's muddy. Also, you may want to bring extra necessities such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc if staying more than a couple of days.

I arrived at this property excited to relax in the hottub to find out the thing didnt even work. I reported it was promised and update on it so I could get another cabin and never heard a word. I complain again and find that someone is coming to look at it, ON THE DAY IM CHECKING OUT. A week later!!! Layers of dust on the blinds, cobwebs everywhere, and others clothing found around the cabin. Never again!

Everything was just as posted. The cabin was very clean, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace and hot tub made it so enjoyable. Really appreciated the description stating a need for 4wd. Very tucked away and secluded feeling, yet close to town. Can’t wait to visit again.

The cabin itself and the property surrounding it is amazing. The seclusion and privacy allowed us to feel at home when were not out touring.
However, when we went to check in the cleaning lady was still there. We were about 10 mins early but she said she would not be finished until 4:30. We were due for check in at 4. The cleaning was not gross but could have been better. The floors were sticky and there was dust and spider webs under the beds and on the walls. Spider webs all along the deck. Other than the little slackness of cleaning and maybe suggest some safety gates at the the entrance to all the stair ways( for toddlers) the cabin was a great stay.
Our family had a fantastic time.

This is a simple cabin home. Not fancy but very comfortable. Hot tub is a plus. Cell tower is near so I always had 5 bars on AT&T.

If your looking for a house for a average person, this is the one. Its a perfect getaway for friends or the hard working family looking for something big enough, bit not wanting to spend a fortune. This is my second visit, and I will be back.

Relaxing!
This house was clean and comfortable! I live on a mountain, but this driveway scared me. Thank goodness I had an SUV with AWD. We drove to the Biltmore Estate which is 1 hour away. Pluses were the dishwasher and hot tub.

Fine stay.
This cabin provided a good place to meet with family over the holiday. The stay could be improved with an adequate number of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Also the check out rules require starting a load of laundry but no detergent was supplied.

Multiple problems ranging from disgusting to hazardous
I have spoken to the management on one occasion and have left several attempts to discuss problems and a refund of way more than the $200 they offered. I paid over $2000 for this mess I would greatly appreciate it if ANYONE would contact me ASAP

NEED to MUST have a car with higher ground clearance to manipulate the road and driveway
The cabin was very rustic and dealing with the property manager was great. The direct TV had no signal (needs an updated box from the owner) so bring a computer to stream things to watch. The beds are HORRIBLE. The master bed box spring squeaks so loudly when one moves, the other wakes up. ALL beds have this problem- I tested them. I read it in another review but didn't believe it....BELIEVE IT

Great place for a get together near Cherkoee.
The property was as advertised. Clean and well appointed. The access road and driveway are rough and in need of repair, and the parking area can accommodate five or six vehicles if you back all the way down the hill, otherwise, only three vehicles can park and turn around to exit.

The drive up is a little rough up to the cabin other than that very peaceful.
The peace and quiet was great very secluded

My Review
A beaut of a cabin for sure. The wood used was beautiful! They problem was with the little centipede looking worms all over the ground floor bedroom with the 2 double beds. I realize that these are hard to stop in basement like rooms ...but other guest might not be as understanding as we were , because we live in the country and have these. The Johnson's

Awesome cabin
Stayed in this cabin for a bachelor trip and it was perfect. Plenty of room for 9 guys to let loose. The hot tub was awesome and the deck outside was huge. The only thing that I could complain about was that there was half of a roll of toilet paper in the downstairs bathroom and none in the upstairs bathroom. Close to everything but far enough away from downtown to feel like you’re secluded. If you have the option to drive a truck I would recommend that over a smaller vehicle because the road to get to the cabin is pretty steep but no problem for a truck or suv. Overall I would absolutely stay here again if I came back.

Quit little house, Close to the casino
The house is difficult to find on google maps because the dirt road up the mountain doesn’t register. Really close to food, grocery stores and the casino. Everything is under 10 minutes. The hot tub is nice and beds are comfy. The bottom bunk bed was broken so thankfully we didn’t have a 6th person. All in all I would stay at the house again, but maybe not my first choice.

A sweet little getaway in the mountains
We enjoyed our stay very much. We made Thanksgiving dinner together and enjoyed the cabin. A couple of notes to consider: the driveway is VERY STEEP and a little treacherous to navigate; the beds are pretty comfortable, but very squeaky. The hot tub felt so very nice after a day of hiking and/or playing.

The house was comfortable and peaceful. The only concerned we had was that we had 5 high school students doing virtual school and 3 adults working virtually and the internet was not the best. I did ask when I booked the house if the internet was going to allow for virtual school and never got a reply. The dish network signal was not good either. We ended up leaving 2 days early because the kids were getting behind on their work. The house is beautiful and great if you are not planning a virtual school vacation.

Beautiful Cabin!
I'll break this down into the pros and cons of our trip!
Pros- This cabin was so beautiful and clean! The hot tub was SO nice and peaceful because it was nestled on the side of the mountain. Everything we needed for our stay was there. The stairway in the front of the cabin lit up at night was beautiful as well as all of the porch lights turned on. The wrap around porch was the best! We sat in the rocking chairs and porch swing and just listened to the insects chirping and in the morning, the bird chirping all in the woods.
Cons- The driveway was terrible! If you have a big car or truck, you will have a hard time getting turned around if there is another car with yours because there is a side of the mountain on one side and a 20-30 foot drop off on the other side with no fence or anything. 3 cars would be impossible unless someone was comfortable enough to back up which would take a super skilled driver to do. There are no streetlights (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but driving up the hill to get there wasn't fun at night. Every single bed in the cabin squeaked SO bad! They were pretty comfy, but the slightest movements were super loud.
All in all, this cabin was SO nice and we would stay here again!
