This is a prewar house, very historical and it is after all a ryokan, so if you are looking for a traditional Japanese house-living experience, definitely stay here. It is in a residential neighborhood, and quite close to the streetcar station by being only a mere 5-minute walk-away. There are I believe three guest rooms, one bathroom, and one shower/sink room. And the price was just unbeatable!
As the house was built prewar, if you want a more comfortable "modern" experience, this place might pose a challenge. All the facility are quite old. There isn't AC outside of bedrooms, so if you are traveling in the summer and you go to the toilet or take a shower or use the kitchen, prepare for the heat! It also is very far (about 11 stops or 30 minutes away) from downtown Hiroshima. Also, note that if you are a solo traveler, you might get a roommate, and there isn't a privacy curtain. Luckily I had wonderful and considerate roommates.

Situation proche du tram, à 100 m.
On loge vraiment chez l’habitant.
Très peu confortable…

The Japanese style of the building is quite charming and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
It is a great location if your focus is Itsukushima Island, but as for Hiroshima city, do take into account that it takes more than half a hour by train to reach the city centre, or come back.

La habitación. ¡¡¡Me encantó!!! Amplia, multifunción y, aunque simple, a mí me pareció maravillosa y súper completa .

Ryokan was clean and comfortable. I was the only one who stayed in first few days. Owner was friendly to talk anytime during my stay. I had a great time running to peace memorial park and castle area in the morning.
Nothing, it would be nicer if the room were a little bit warmer.

Had to try a traditional Japanese Ryokan hotel on our trip and glad we did. If you are expecting a full hotel reception and facilities, this is a very different and basic place. Felt very traditional, relaxed and basic which what it is meant to be! A very short walk to the Streetcar station for line 2. About half way (30 to 40 mins) between the city centre and terminus for Miyajima Island so very convenient. Convenience stores nearby and a couple of restaurants a bit further but in a quiet neighbourhood. Other guests were very friendly and happy to share experiences.
Maybe a bit more information and contact with the owner but all easy enough to work out!

Casual style, cosy, nice neiborhood. Hisaya is kind and attentive.

It's in a good position 30 minutes of train from Hiroshima City and 30 minutes from Ferry to Miyajima Island. sheets and a towel were provided and the room was equipped with air conditioning. you can use the kitchen in the house to cook and store food, also there are two konbini easily reachable by foot. The owner Hisaya was very kind! he speaks a bit of English and is available to answer questions at the Ryokan and also by messages. This place is ideal for a short stay and if you pack lightly as in my case.
I think the locker for the door of the room could be improved. The room was shared with another person but there was only a pair of keys available, so on the second day I had to leave the room unlocked in order for the other guest to enter, it was a bit strange.

The ryokan is very well situated. The train station is 3 minutes away. You can take the train in one direction towards the city center or go the opposite towards the ferry that brings you to Miyajima Island.

It was very nice, with a fully equipped kitchen, and definitely recommend to try a ryokan experience in your Japanese trip.

The location was good, especially because it’s located on the way to Miyajima from Hiroshima Station
We weren’t sure how to get in, even though we received the message via booking about what our room is. We had to call the number written on the door, they answered that the door is not locked and then a super rude guy opened the door and showed us the room. We don’t know if that was the owner or anything, but he was absolutely not welcoming, as a girl by yourself this could seem weird

Good value for money. Room basic as expected.
Was no interaction with the owner

The location from public transportation is great which is about a 4 minute walk to the tram. The value is great which provides you with spacious rooms and a traditional Japanese house with shared bath and toilet. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Hiroshima and Miyajimaguchi especially if they want to experience a traditional Japanese home.
Nothing.

I liked how it's a nice Japanese house and if you're heading to Miyajima, then you're relatively close cuz you can take the tram near the hostel. The shower and kitchen area were also nice. You can cook if you want, and I guess if you don't have dust allergies, then the tatami rooms would be OK. Be sure to bring meds for allergies though. It could also be noisy cuz of the wooden floors, and basically because it's a hostel.
The owner replied late to my queries about the hostel's location. I asked ahead of time about it but then had to message several times on the app AND email just to get a reply. I was also NOT informed that I had to move rooms on the 2nd night (I was staying for 3 days 2 nights) SO I came home really tired and was very surprised to find my futon and stuff missing AND three people in the room WHO were already sleeping and I unfortunately woke them up. I had to call the owner to find out I had to use a different room that night. He told me he messaged me on the app, but OF COURSE, being outside, I couldn't check it. I wish that he was more organized about the booking, and that I was informed ahead of time.

Great experience to spend my first time in Ryokan. It was very nice and I had whole room for myself. Tram stop nearby, 2 minutes of walking from the place. It was a little bit cold in the building but that's not a problem as there is good heating/AC machine in the room! Highly recommended

It’s a different type of experience sleeping in a futon over the regular bed in other hostels. It was really comfortable and the place was very homey. The owner was amazing and fun to talk to.
The location was very far from central Hiroshima and the places people typically go to when visiting the city. You will need to use public transportation.

it is very nice and clean
very convenient to a family and near to the station

It was nice and comfortable for friends, nice setting and accommodations. Quiet neighborhood.
The distance from downtown Hiroshima, although it was reasonable it would of course be nice to be closer. But I'm sire it would be noisier.

Great location. Shame about everything else.
Advertised as a ryokan but our room was in a so called annexe. However rather than being adjoining or nearby, the 'annexe' was a substantial distance from the main property. A particular issue as we booked solely for the parking - which was at the main property so we had to leave the car unattended. Futons were stained. Bed sheets simply didnt fit - the hosts response was 'make them fit'. Bathroom was dirty...deep dust on sills and frames. Also... the only accomodation we have stayed at in 4 weeks that didnt request passport details. When we did briefly meet the owner / care taker he was sullen and unpleasant. Given other reviews of this property, cant help wondering if this has recently changed hands or been left in someone elses care.
