Goûter au talent de la cuisinière !

Vue magnifique et localisation au calme mais du coup éloigné du centre de Ella Hôte très agréable, gentil et serviable - nous a fait les résa pour le train avant notre arrivée Repas délicieux et gargantuesque !

A beautiful view from the balcony, breakfast freshly cooked and served on the balcony at a time of your choice. The proprietor was very welcoming and helpful with lifts into town

No fault of the property but it is a long way up waterfall road too far to walk from town. Hard to get back at night. Water pressure was very low and towels could be better.

Soothing stay

Location is remote but very quiet and pleasant. You can see mountain and waterfall in the balcony . The sound of waterfall you can hear all the time. It’s so soothing and refreshing. The host family is very hospitable. They cater all our needs . Excellent home cooked food

Your vehicle can not reach to the property as it is narrow road. But the host arranged a tuktuk for pick up and drop to the main road so it was very convenient and not a hassle.

Spectacular location with view of the waterfall, exceptionally friendly hosts, maybe the bathroom could be improved but apart from that perfect

Ein toller Aufenthalt mit außergewöhnlichem Frühstück mit tollem Ausblick.

Die Familie lebt mit in der Unterkunft, alle waren wirklich nett und es gibt sogar einen günstigen Wäscheservice. Das Frühstück, das jeden Morgen auf unserem Balkon serviert wurde, war fantastisch. Tolle Aussicht auf einen großen Wasserfall.

Der Weg von der Unterkunft in den Ortskern (ca. 1,5km) und zurück ist sehr hügelig und zieht sich dadurch sehr. Allerdings hat uns der Inhaber der Unterkunft häufig mit seinem Tuk Tuk mitgenommen. Dadurch war es dann völlig in Ordnung. Aus der Dusche kam kaum Wasser, da der Druck so gering war. Das ist aber in fast allen Unterkünften der Fall gewesen. Scheint also ein generelles Problem zu sein, für das die Unterkunft wahrscheinlich nichts kann.

Very peaceful and quiet with amazing views from the room

The view was amazing and it was so peaceful. And the breakfast served up by Mali was amazing - loved the "appas" (hoppers) very much and the selection of fruits. Mali and Ari are excellent hosts.

Hidden gem in ella! You will be treated like a family member!!

Amazing property with a great view!! You could not ask for a better host!! One of the nicest people i have come across in my life. The location is little bit on the hill where only Tuk Tuk can go. The Host operates his own Tuk Tuk and was kind enough to pick us up and drop us at Ella market in 2 seperate occasions. Break fast and service is amazing as well! This is a hidden gem for sure.

the room was really cozy and we had a great view with own balcony. everyday the owners served different traditional breakfast which was delicious. the owners were really helpfully and friendly. we had the possibility to rent a scooter.

Incredible stay - our favourite place in Sri Lanka

Absolutely amazing - the location and views are stunning. Host is so welcoming and friendly. Rooms were perfect, large and comfy beds, lots of hot water, amazing balcony, loads to watch esp birds ! Great breakfasts and amazing dinner. On hand to help with tuk tuks and arranged a guide to climb Ella Rock. Easy walk into town. Highly recommend for all travellers.

A very comfortable and nice stay

We liked every thing about the property. Host was very good, made us feel at home. Srilankan style breakfast and view from balcony was the highlight. Overall had a comfortable and nice stay. Value for money and recommended for all looking for a homestay with serene surroundings.

Felt a need for Almirah in the room, thought it was manageable. Electric sockets were loose which made charging bit challenging.

This is the second time we stay at Marvellous inn. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable with fantastic mountain views. Breakfast is good although they don't serve coconut sambal, roti and dhal. I missed that. Also toast bread is awful :D but it is the same everywhere you go.

Location is beautiful to do some hikes although not too close to Ella village. Which means every time you want to go to town to eat or drink, you will need to walk around 25 min or get a tuk tuk

Incedible Homestay

Incedible view, Hosts, rooms, location, Service, breakfast. Everything Was great and perfect. This homestay is away from noicy ella but within 15min walk on the railwaytrack your at ella City Center or in the other direction at the kithalella waterfall

When leaving the host asked me for good rating, what is not neccessary because its great anyway, that why only 9/10

Absolutely amazing. We loved it

Amazing location with beautiful view and sounds of birds singing and waterfall. Very comfortable and big rooms, hot water (the best hot water we had in Sri Lanka), very friendly, smiling and welcoming host and delicious breakfast (pancakes with coconut and honey!). We only regretted we could not stay longer

Bear in mind it may be difficult to get there in a bigger vehicle (we were travelling in a minibus) due to the narrow road. But the host picked us up from Ella so it was not a problem for us

Extraordinary terrace with waterfall view and great nature to watch - big with very comfortable chairs and big table for evenings drink. Room clean with great atmosphere to sleep. It is around 20 minutes walk front centre but You can do shortcut using railway road. Very supportive owners and tasty breakfast. Great place to spend few days in Ella.

First we were a bit surprised how off the track it is but this made it super beautiful as we were right in the hills of Ella. Only a few minutes walk to be in the center with the advantage of not having the noice from the streets. The owners were super friendly and helpful

Beautiful view and lovely family

Absolutely lovely homestay with a great balcony, lot of space with a dining table and also relaxing chairs. They bring you amazing breakfast and home cooked dinner, very fresh and tasty! The family is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a relax place with amazing views this is your place. Yes it is a long road to get there but the walk is very nice (15 min) and there are always tuktuks around if you don’t want to walk. Very quit at night many brids. Thank you!:)

Excellent hospitality by the house owner and the family Superb breakfast Very good room facilities The house owner was super cool and attended to all our needs and dropped us several times to Ella town in his own private vehicle .

Road to the stay was a little difficult to travel since it was narrow but definitely worth after reaching the destination

A very nice homestay with a wonderful view and pleasant hosts!

It's a nice guest house with a marvelous view on a valley with a waterfall and forests. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. We had nice breakfasts. Everything was awesome!

The hotel is located on quite a distance from the center of Ella, by a windy mountain road. We were travelling by a car, so it was not an issue for us. But walking from the Ella center might be difficult.
