Amazing!

The location, on the way to Ella Rock, walking distance from the train station, the city, walking distance from town, and the bridge, and little Adam’s Peak, but far enough to be in a quiet, green place. The view is amazing. Delicious breakfast, comfortable bed and very nice hosts. Just perfect, so we stayed one extra night!

Good but Basic

Beautiful view. As long as you understand that this is a Home Stay and not a hotel, it's great and good value. Don't expect comfort and cleanliness levels of a hotel.

Kitchen and bathroom requires a good cleanup and repaint. The Booking.com review was a bit over rated.

Extremely happy with this place

Generally, all Sri Lankan hosts have been kind to me, but this property has exceeded all expectations. I truly felt at home, they helped with both cooking and laundry, and their manager is a very nice guy. The view from 2 of their rooms is astonishing. The place is tranquil, but the center of the town is a 5-minute walk away. A bonus: you may be able to play with their beautiful huge dog if you kindly ask :)

Just an amazing place

Everything. The place is very comfortable, we had booked all 4 rooms so basically we had the entire apartment with the kitchen. It is 10 Min walking distance from the city centre but it has a great view and waking up surrounded by the nature is just a gift. It is very clean, spacious, all rooms have a terrace and there is also a huge one on the roof top. Even if the breakfast is not included, we could use the kitchen to prepare it ourselves.

Comfortable bed and good size room. The views are nice

It is quite far from the main road, it was cold during my stay and the sheet wasn’t sufficient for the temperature. Extra blankets would have been nice.

I really loved to stay at brilliant view, so i extended to 5 nights. the room is incredibly nice and from your bed + your private balcony, you have the most beautiful peaceful view of super green jungle mountains, a massive waterfall and an amazing birdlife. Further more, there is a completly equipped kitchen, which i really liked, especially for some coffee before early hiking. the family is extremly nice, friendly and helpful! they even invited me to join their buddhist prayers, when the monch came visiting the house! thank you so much, for making my days in ella that special :)

Spot on, a home from home

Great staff, great view, quiet, free fridge to use in the kitchen, seating area on first floor and a bigger seating area on the roof both with great views and wifi is good there too. Also, not many mosquitos about, didnt even need the mosquito net. I stayed for about four or five nights in the end, it was nice.

The distance from town maybe and the hills if your walking, but its not that bad if you take a short cut down the railway track, maybe 8 mins and the temperature is ok for walking in ella. Or you can hire a scooter if your lazy like me. I wouldn't want to stay too near town anyway, its noisy.

awesome, breathtaking views

The balcony view was incredible , to wake up to Ella Rock and the waterfall was a real luxury. The hosts woke at 5am to make me breakfast so I could hike . The breakfast was tasty and cheap. They let me help myself to the star apples in the garden.. There was yoga , 50m away , access to the railway line to hike to Ella Rock was 100 m away . The room was clean and it was a nice little walk into town . That made it quiet, no traffic noise… This was a great place for so many reasons, great hosts, great food, a very cheap stay . loved it

Superb

i had the most comfortable stay of my entire trip. the room, balcony and location, is very private but only a five minute walk to the main street. it is quiet and the view of mountains and waterfall is stunning. The bed is incredible. The hosts are extremely sweet and helpful. I highly recommend a stay here, and i will be back myself asap.

There was no gas for cooking (which is a problem in the whole country and not only this guesthouse) so the shared kitchen was not fully functioning, but the sweet family offered to cook anything i brought home or prepared, for me, in there own kitchen.

Nice place to stay, great value for money, only need to solve problems with the dogs..

Very pleasant hoster, great breakfast, nice view.

Dogs were barking almost all nights, so was challenging to sleep.

Great place to stay in Ella - with amazing view !

The absolutely stunning view, the peace&quiet away from the busy main street. very comfortable rooms, great breakfast and lovely hosts.

all great for me - there is quite a steep hill to climb to get into town and back but definitely worth it if you want to relax and enjoy the view

Totally recommend

Clearly the Best asset is the view, but also the rooms are Nice and clean and breakfast very good as Well.

A bit hard to get to the location, but the view makes it worth it.

A great place to stay with a well organised and spotless kitchen. And a very congenial host.

The owner takes pride in this beautiful property. From a welcoming pot of Sri Lanken tea to organising an early breakfast and a Tuk Tuk. The views are spectacular and the guest house really lives up to its name.

Being our first stay in Ella, we were surprised at how hilly and awkward the terrain was, and thought it may be a problem getting to town and back as it's a good 20 minute walk to the town centre. Our fears were unfounded however, because of course Tuk Tuks saved the day.

The family were lovely and helpful. Really comfy bed, uninterrupted views of Ella Rock. Breakfast was exceptional and lots of it.

The property was a bit of a walk out of town but close to the railway tracks so only 10 minutes to train station.
