Außergewöhnlich gut!

Wir verbrachten dort zwei Nächte, gerne wären wir noch länger geblieben. Der Gastgeber Janith ist so unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit! Wir bekamen eines der besten Frühstücke bisher, vielleicht sogar das Beste unserer Reise. Das Zimmer war modern, geräumig, äußerst gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Aussicht war ebenso unglaublich. Alles in Allem eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft, bei einem Aufenthalt in Ella die beste Wahl :-)

Very friendly host and great location

The host was super frienly and helpful. The location was great, a bit outside the busy main area, but still easily reachable by foot. The breakfast was delicious and we got s takeaway breakfast for our train ride.

The shower was not the best, not much pressure and the hot water came on and off.

Janith is een uitstekende en zeer vriendelijke gastheer die je het echt naar de zin wil maken. Hij geeft suggesties wat je in en rond Ella aan uitstapjes kan gaan doen. Hij is erg behulpzaam: zo heeft hij ‘s ochtends om 06.00 treinkaartjes geregeld voor de trein van Ella naar Una Oya. Dan het ontbijt: het beste wat we ons verblijf in Sri Lanka hebben gehad, voortreffelijk!

Paisible

Établissement moderne avec tout l’équipement nécessaire. Vue exceptionnelle depuis la chambre sur les montagnes . Établissement en plein cœur de la ville d’Ella, sans parler de l’accueil extrêmement chaleureux des propriétaires .

オーナーはとても気さくで、Ellaのハイキングコースのことや、その後に行くSafari の適正価格についても相談にのってくれた。お部屋はとてもきれい！外は涼しいのに、部屋の中にその空気が入りにくく少し蒸していたが、あまり問題ではない。いい宿泊経験になった。朝ご飯もボリュームがあって美味しかった。

Amazing

The whole family is so nice. So welcoming and polite always wanting your stay to be the best. The guy also showed us a faster way to the restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast is big and delicious, we got to choose between western and Sri Lankan. The room is really fresh and modern, no mosquitos.

Super Unterkunft - ruhig und trotzdem alles zu Fuß erreichbar!

Der Host ist der coolste Typ, den wir auf unserer Reise getroffen haben! So nett und auch seine ganze Familie war super lieb. Das Frühstück war das beste, was wir bisher hatten - mit lecker Smoothie und Hoppers! Die Zimmer sind gut und der Ausblick Hammer. Auch die Lage war für uns ideal - schön ruhig, aber zu Fuß ist man in 5 Minuten in der Stadt! Wir würden immer wieder kommen. :)

Das einzige ist, dass der Wasserdruck etwas gering war und da es viel geregnet hat, der Raum etwas feucht war, aber das ist ein generelles Thema in der Gegend.

Toller Aufenthalt, auch für länger.

Toller Ort, in der Nähe vom Zentrum. Sehr hilfsbereiter und freundlicher Gastgeber. Wir hatten das grosse obere Zimmer. Sehr geräumig, mit allem was man braucht. Man sieht, dass vieles schön, aber auch selbst installiert wurde, speziell Badearmaturen. Sensationelles Frühstück. Preis-Leistung absolut top! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Great value for money!

We would highly recommend Cozy Homestay! It is in a great location with a secret passage way into town which takes 5 minutes. The host Janith and his family are lovely and so welcoming. Janith was able to organise various tuktuks and taxis for us. Breakfast was delicious and we saw lots of cool wild life while eating it on the balcony… monkeys, a mongoose and loads of different birds.

Really really nice family/ staff. Excellent breakfast. Overall very good service, and attempts to trouble shoot any issues. We really appreciated that.

The bathroom/ plumbing/ shower leave something to be desired. As did the carpet! There were some funny bathroom/ plumbing smells as others have mentioned- though I suspect the carpet may have been a culprit as well.

Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden! Wir haben 2 Nächte in Ella verbracht und wurden vom Gastgeber bestens informiert und sehr herzlich empfangen. Er hat uns alles organisiert und stand uns jederzeit für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück, war das beste, was wir auf unserer 2 wöchigen Reise hatten. Der Hängestuhl und der eigene Balkon waren super um nach einem anstrengenden Tag zu entspannen. Das Frühstück wurde direkt am eigenen Balkon serviert.

Einziger Kritikpunkt war, dass das Zimmer durch die Feuchtigkeit etwas gemüffelt hat. Das ist aber vielleicht auf Grund der Regenzeit geschuldet. Man konnte gut lüften und auch bei offenen Türen schlafen.

The best homestay in Sri Lanka

All around awesome experience. We had to room upstairs, which was very roomy and had a great view. Also it was clean and well maintained We booked the cheaper room but the host gave us the better room, without even asking, because it was free anyway. Speaking of the host: he and his family is awesome and really made our sstay the most comfortable and enjoyable as they could. He made us the absolute best breakfast there is in all of Sri Lanka. City center is just 5 minutes from the Homestay with a nice little shortcut. If you are on the fence: do it, you won’t regret it. I’d choose this Homestay over a 5 star hotel anytime.

Clean and comfortable

Clean room and bathroom. Owner was very helpful and kind - we arrived early and he got the room ready for us early which was so nice of him. Delicious breakfast! Also helped us to rent a scooter.

The encounter with the owner of this accommodation made our Sri Lanka trip wholesome. He made our life and travel after Ella so much easier. But some words to the accommodation first. The house is located on a hill with a nice view from your balcony. Everything is clean and comfy and the bathroom got a renovation. So it looks like a minimalistic grey stylish bathroom from Japan. The breakfast was huge and yummy! But the best part was the owner and his family. Such lovely hearts like many people in Sri Lanka. But this was next level. He knew and could arranged everything in Sri Lanka. We need a ride without the tourist price from Kandy to Ella? He knows someone. We need a guide for yala national park who can get us to the best spots for animal watching? He knows someone. He knows everything and everyone. I only can thank you for everything and wish you and your family all the best!

Ok but we won‘t come again.

The hosts were very friendly and helped us a lot. There is a short-cut to the center of ella. The matress was very good and comfortable.

The bathroom smells awful because there was a lack in the toilet. The shower had too Little pressure and less water. The bathroom was in total very dirty. Compared to other Hotels in Sri Lanka the price was not justified.

I LOVE my stay with Cozy!

the location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from town. Achala and his family really went the extra mile to help me with my transportation to Yala and Ella. they are very helpful, makes you feel like part of the family! breakfast is AMAZING!!!!!! thank you so so so much Achala and family! i hope we will meet again one day!

Very sad that we had to leave!
