About this apartment rental

Our comfortable, third-floor, south shore condo is right ON the ocean so you will SEE --and HEAR-- the sound of the surf as soon as you open your front door. The condo, with stylish, contemporary furniture, boasts a comfortable California king bed. Relax "at home" and enjoy the ocean while sitting inside or out on your lanai. Snorkel with turtles right in front of the condo (we sometimes see Eagle Rays in our bay, too)! This is one of the best shore dive sites on the island and our building is consistently rated as one of the best. The condo is nicely furnished so you can get down to the business of relaxing in comfort upon arrival. Come on in and make yourself at home! Most guests who stay in our Rising Sun Suite *do* return, btw....

Beautifully decorated and clean, with waves and turtles to greet you off the lanai. Denise has everything you need in the condo, and is super responsive and friendly. We love this place and hope to be back soon. The 7:30 pm parrot show is an added bonus, and the location is great!

Aloha, The condo and location is exactly what the pictures show and describe. Cool breezes and the morning sunrise on the private lanai was beautiful. The sound of the ocean crashing on the shore was absolutely perfect! It was only a short walk to the shopping center for necessities but due to limitations we would take the car or venture out to explore the rest of beautiful Kauai. We couldn’t ask for a better host as Denise was always available if and when we needed anything! Thank you again Denise for your beautiful, healing condo location and your great hospitality. I wanted a place beach front. This location ended up as a great alternative since the walk was not far. The one-bedroom was very clean. Everything you’d need to have a comfortable stay was made available. I didn’t need the air conditioner. Open up the folders and enjoy the ocean breeze! The property owner was in-touch with all the details. Answered all my questions. You’ll definitely need to rent a car. The drive to the location was beautiful!

Denise was a very accommodating host. Her place is beautiful and in a fantastic spot in Kauai! The breeze was wonderful and the view outstanding. We saw turtles from the balcony every day. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The condo was immaculate, exactly like the pictures on the website, and was a quiet place to enjoy the zen of Kauai. We found a lovely beach (Kiahuna) that was a short drive from the condo and spent most of our days relaxing there. The condo's kitchen was well stocked and on the lanai was a storage container with everything you need for time on the beach. We fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves in the cove below. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend it anyone planning a visit to Kauai!

Unit and complex were clean and inviting. Host was very responsive, and unit was very welcoming. Plenty of doors/windows to get a nice cross breeze keeping the unit nice and cool. AC was not needed at all. Great view off the deck, perfect for enjoying morning coffee. Floors are concrete with some rugs, no issue for us at all but may be for some. Everything was in order and good working condition. I would book here again in a heart beat.

This condo was stunning, we loved the updated interior design of this place. The view from the lanai was amazing. The location of this condo is super convenient. The bed is very comfortable. They also had lots of beach gear which was much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay here, would definitely visit again! Check-in was easy, the condo was just as described -beautiful and right on the water. My only gripe, low water pressure in the shower. Everything else was perfect!

We loved having the ocean breeze flood the condo at any time, with incredible ocean views. The only reason for 4 stars on the cleanliness was due to a grimy and smelly shower curtain. Everything else was fantastic.

Loved the condo, kitchen, bathroom and most of all the view. Condo owner has thought of so many little necessities like beach chairs, soap, shampoo & conditioner. Lots of items in kitchen for use like sandwich baggies, tin foil and a cooler for the beach. All the little things add up to a great experience. We had the best time and enjoyed Poipu beach seeing the turtles at night and Hawaiian sea lions daytime resting on the beach. So amazing! Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us and making our trip so special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Vrbo property, especially the breathtaking view, pristine living room, and well-equipped kitchen with boogie boards for added fun. The balcony was truly remarkable. However, there were a couple of areas that need improvement. The bathroom had an unusual smell, and the shower curtain was stained orange, which made us feel uncomfortable while showering. We suggest considering a remodel with a glass door or regular replacement of the shower curtain. One of the main reasons we chose this unit was the washer/dryer availability. Unfortunately, there was only one set for the entire property, and it was always in use, making it challenging to access. It may be worth reassessing whether it should be advertised as an amenity. Additionally, we encountered an issue with the TV, which did not work during our stay, particularly inconvenient when we were stuck indoors due to the storm on our last day. It would have been great to have the TV functional for entertainment during such moments. We didn’t complain because it wasn’t worth it, but it should be noted that it may not work during your stay. The AC ended up costing an additional $10 per day. This wasn’t mentioned in the description and wasn’t a big deal for us, however, this should be mentioned in the description. Overall, despite the shortcomings, we appreciated the positive aspects of our stay. The owner made it very easy to check-in & communicated everything very well.

My wife and I had such a great time at the condo! Beautiful location and you literally can't get closer to the water than this even with high-end hotels on the island. We loved walking next door to the beach house restaurant for sunset drinks and just a short drive from so much in the area, we can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay here! Beautiful location, you can’t beat the scenery. Wonderful accommodations, there was everything you would need in this condo! We love the bed, two large couches, very nicely equipped kitchen. One of the best things was the promptness of the owner, she was the best, and a very good communicator! It’s hard to leave today!

Denise is the hostess with the mostest! While we weren't able to stay in the specific unit we booked due to construction delays, Denise provided a perfect alternative. She was attentive, forth-coming and always quick to respond. I can't say enough good things. We stayed in #406, the top floor and it's gorgeous. The view and sound of the ocean is mesmerizing. And we saw sea turtles from the balcony too! The location is ideal, snorkeling and surfing just steps away. We will definitely be back! It was the perfect place to stay.

I cannot review the unit itself because we had to move to another unit due to a water leak in the unit above Denise’s. That said, Denise called us as soon as she could to let us know we would not be able to check into her unit. She had already contacted another property owner who luckily let us use his unit for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend renting from Denise as she made a potentially disastrous experience stress-free. I will also say that this building is in a great area! Very close to shopping and in what seemed like a very safe area.

This condo was beyond amazing! From the minute you walk in the door and see the fabulous view, your vacation begins. The condo is right on the ocean so the view is breathtaking. There’s a great little beach right next door, along with a very good restaurant called The Beach House. I had the best shave ice right across the street. Close to other good restaurants as well, but isolated enough to be quiet. Everything about this place was utterly fantastic. The kitchen is newly updated and is equipped with most of what you’d need to prepare a meal, sans food, of course. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The outdoor lanai was so inviting. There was a lot of beach gear on the patio, including chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. They also provide two beach towels which came in handy. One less thing to pack! The entire place was immaculate. The photos don’t do it justice. You seriously have to see it in person. I’ve stayed in a lot of homes via VRBO, and this was certainly one of the best. Denise was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions. If you find yourself in this part of Kauai, do not hesitate to book this property. Simply the best. I look forward to returning here again.

The pictures are accurate. It is a lovely spot to sit and relax. I watched the sunrise from the balcony every morning. There's fancy & casual restaurants within walking distance. The condo has a nice binder of recommendations of activities, shops, restaurants, groceries, you name it. The bathroom lighting is a bit low, think mood lighting. Just something to be aware of if you need to pluck or do serious makeup. Not something that would deter me from staying (see that view). There are games that may never be played, (the condo as a whole has a mini library), there's beach accessories (chairs, boogie boards, etc.) beach towels for your use. Speaking of towels, they were so soft I would love to know what they use on them! I had a great time and will definitely be back to the island. This is a definite choice to come back to if it's available. Mahalo for allowing me to enjoy your condo!

Beautifully remodeled condo on the water. Sunrise and sunset were magical Be sure to go to the Wednesday farmers market. We also loved the pizza place in Koala and the food trucks there too We stayed 5 nights in Princeville and 5 nights here and it was the perfect trip. Favorite positive- being 3 stories up the roosters do not wake you up, the bed is very comfortable, everything you need to cook a meal. Negatives- once the sun comes up it’s really hot in the condo, even with the ac on. Laundry is paid, the parrots that poop on the cars are no joke. Snorkeling tip/ Best in the area Koloa landing

Due to the pandemic, I haven’t been back to Kauai for 3 years. I forgot how much I love it there. This was my second stay in this 3rd floor condo and it was even better this time (if that is possible). Well stocked with beautiful cookware, dishes, appliances and staples. The view from balcony is incredible. Denise continues to be a great host and is always responsive to communication. I can’t wait to return.

Nice updated place in Poipu. Although it's close to the road, noise isn't an issue. REALLY NICE AC unit for the bedroom! And great trade breezes during the day. For the cooks, the kitchen could have better fry pans, but knives are of good quality. Overall a nice place to be! Thanks!
