ALOHA!
Enjoy the best of Kauai. This fully equipped ocean-view studio condo at Poipu Beach has stunning vistas of the bay, peaceful Prince Kuhio Park, and distant mountains framed by rainbows and swaying palms.
Only steps to the beach
Prince Kuhio Resort, awarded a prestigious certificate of excellence for its outstanding qualities, is a small and quaint resort about 20 yards from the beach. Some of the best swimming, snorkeling, and surfing on Kauai are right out in front at Prince Kuhio Beach and Lawai Beach. Hawaiian sea turtles and tropical fish swim close to shore in a protected cove.
The sound of the ocean
You will enjoy the sound of the ocean, the birds singing, the tropical breeze, and the amazing sunrise every day from your lanai, which has a bar-height table and chairs so that you can fully enjoy this extraordinary setting. On the other side of the resort there is a koi pond, waterfalls, and a large swimming pool surrounded by a lush, exotic garden with a picnic and barbecue area.
Located on the second floor, the 400 sf studio (including covered lanai) is tastefully decorated with island-style furnishings and a comfortable king bed. A split-system air conditioner was recently installed for your comfort. Even without a/c, many guests appreciate the cooling tradewinds that often blow through the windows and it is very comfortable for most of the year. The compact but well-equipped full kitchen has lots of extras. Beach towels and beach chairs are provided. All you will need are your swimsuit and flip flops!
A laundry facility is available in Prince Kuhio complex, located next to the facilities manager’s office on the first floor near the front parking lot. The facilities manager is not an individual unit's property manager, however, he can be very helpful in a pinch during the eight-hour day when he is on site.
Ample parking is usually available at the resort. There’s parking in the complex’s front parking lot, on the first floor of the adjacent parking garage, and along the roadside. If parking in the garage, please obtain a card from the site managers’s office and sign up even after hours when the office is often unlocked. If locked, sign up in the morning.
The owner of this unit lives on-island about an hour away so assistance is always readily available.

This property was cozy, but well furnished with everything we needed. The view from the balcony was awesome. The covered parking was a great bonus as it kept the car cool and free from parrot poo. We were extending a stay that started at the Westin and we found this location to be far better than the Westin. And the room was so bright and cheery, you really felt the beach vibe.

Love staying in Poipu. This was affordable and in a great location. Would stay here again

Small, but had everything we needed. Especially were glad to have the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler bag for our days at the beach.

We loved staying here. If you enjoy snorkeling and sea turtles, you are a short walking distance away from an amazing snorkeling area! At night, parakeets swarmed the trees and it was beautiful. Communication with the host was great, and the stay was even better :)
4.8
Just enough room for 2 people with everything you need. Getting into the unit was easy with the lock box. Communication with owner worked well with timely responses. Mahalo

this was a lovely apartment, conveniently located across from The Beach House :). Once we managed to get the emails from VRBO re check in everything went smoothly. you really need to look at the map to find which complex the unit is in and that it is called Prince Kuhio. Everything else was lovely

Great relaxing, unfortunate extra heavy rain storm that resulted in a flooded basement that handled all the units WiFi and hot water…after approx 2 days all was restored great communication and recovery.

Very nice older unit. Well appointed, clean, centrally located. Jane, our host, was extremely responsive. Beautiful ocean view. Pretty grounds and a very nice pool. I would recommend this unit and would stay here again, no question.

Great cozy studio with wonderful host, Jane. She has everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable, linens great, abundance of pots, pans etc. The only thing that was challenging was the parking. Street parking was tough if you couldn’t get in the 1st floor of the garage. We had a full size truck so harder to get in if all larger spaces taken. The gardens there are the absolute best sooo many beautiful or kids on every tree. Wonderful bbq facilities & pool area. Jane is the best.

Unit was clean and comfortable. Kitchen equipped well. It was smaller than I expected but for just me it was. OK. Had rain only one day during my stay. Otherwise it was pleasant. Prince Kuhio Resort is my favorite place to stay.

Great little place with everything we needed for our 10 night stay. Quiet and very convenient with covered parking right across from the beach and walking distance (.7 miles) to nice shopping area and grocery store. 20 mins to Lihue stores and a little more than 1 hour to the north beaches. Tons of things to do in the South that are all within 15 minutes.
The room was fair sized and the king bed was comfortable. Ocean view with sounds of waves lulling us to sleep. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels, snorkeling gear provided.
We had a minor issue one morning with the power and our host was very quick to respond and eager to help. Turned out to be an issue with the power company and not the unit so can't fault anyone for that.
Check-in and out was quick and easy.
Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!

A bit small and outdated, but had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and the view of the park and ocean made for a perfect stay. The grounds and the pool are beautiful and well kept. Well worth it!

Best snorkeling on the island right in front of condo!! Bed was so comfy — take it from a pregnant lady!

We absolutely loved this vrbo rental! The place was very close to the beach and the studio was clean with a super comfy bed. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to this area!

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio. It is just a few minutes drive from many of the best beaches in southern Kauai. Parking was incredibly easy and close to the unit. The pool and air conditioning were nice touches. You may want ear plugs for the early morning roosters which is common all over the island!

Me and my partner had such a wonderful stay. The space was perfect for the two of us and it was nice to have a full kitchen for when we wanted to make breakfast. It was very quiet and in a walkable neighborhood. Also right next to the beach! We would absolutely stay here again.

The room and amenities were as described. It has everything you’d need and we were comfortable. We enjoyed the chairs, umbrella and cooler that was provided. The pool was clean and fantastic. The bbq area was nice for our filets we got from Costco. The fruit stand around the corner was perfect with the sweetest fruit.
We miss having our coffee on the patio watching the waves.
I highly recommend this room.

Although we weren't around much, we had what we needed. Parking worked out great for us. We didn't use the pool, but it was a nice courtyard and gardens area. A nice restaurant and beach were just 1 block away.

Condo was great for a couple and had everything we needed for a delightful stay. Great location!

We had an amazing time. The most beautiful sunsets in Kauai and we loved having breakfast and dinners on the balcony with the beautiful view of the ocean. Quiet and peaceful place to stay.

This studio was perfect for us! And it was conveniently located too. We'd definitely stay here again.

Check-in and check-out were easy because they just send you a code for the door. Made staying here a breeze.

Excellent locale and the best communication with host, Jane. Wished that we could have stayed longer. Thank you.
4.8
Cozy but totally adequate for our stay. Location is great for south side. Easy walks to some great shops and restaurants. Short drive to Poipu’s best beaches. Early morning sunshine on the lanai goes well with the neighborhood roosters!

Jane’s place was a great spot. The kitchen was well stocked and it’s right across from the beach to walk over and watch the sunset. The pool is stunning. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This condo is perfect for a short stay. Ocean view and a short walk to the beach. There is not much space if you stay for a long time but for a couple nights it’s perfect!
4.8
Great location and view. Across the street from the best snorkeling beach and sunsets. Appreciated the covered parking and the grounds were beautiful. Short walk to the nice outdoor restaurant/shopping area. It was quite small for 2 people, had a 2 cup coffee maker, 7 hangers, and no information on recommendations for local restaurants, farmers market, activities, etc. We appreciated the air conditioning, and sand chairs.
4.8
Right across the street from the most wonderful restaurant and incredible views of the sunset. Place is quaint and clean. Small shower but excellent water pressure.
4.8
The location is wonderful and we spent a lot of time on the nice lanai watching the ocean! The major drawback was the lack of updates to the unit! We had to buy memory foam for the bed, there was very little decor that made you feel like you were in Hawaii! The price was also way to high and it’s going up again for 2024! We booked another unit for 2024 that is updated with lovely decor!! There is huge potential for this with some needed attention!!

Accurate description, good communication, well stocked. Perfect.

A wonderful stay at a truly special property. We loved the location: beaches a short walk away, restaurants & shopping nearby. But what made it particularly special was the park next door that the balcony looks out over - to the beach across the road. It felt like we were in the country (complete with chickens ranging below!) We loved this rental and would happily return.

Nice unit in a well-taken-care-of property. The unit itself was clean and well stocked. We had what we needed to make meals for the week we were there. There were two beach towels provided, along with two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and soft-sided cooler. Those were super helpful during our stay. The apartment itself was clean, even though it's somewhat dated. We enjoyed the lanai with a view of the ocean. We were directly next to the park as well. Parking was easy (we mostly parked on the street and never had trouble finding a spot). The unit is up one flight of stairs (no elevator), but that wasn't a problem for us. Instructions were clear and we had no issues while we were there. You can't get much closer to beach access than across the street, although we typically drove a few minutes to one of the other local beaches that had more sand. Overall this was a great spot for a relaxing, low-key stay on Kauai.

This was a great property for exploring the Poipu area of Kauai. We loved the comfort and full kitchen. It would have been great for a longer stay, but our schedule didn’t allow that. I would definitely stay here again!
4.8
Clean, well stocked with nice extras. Loved the proximity to the best snorkeling we found on the island in the winter. The bed was comfortable and Jane was easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.
