What a perfect spot! Quiet and serene, right on the pond. Our children adored the experience of feeding their own “pet ducks”. A life long memory for sure. The never ending breeze off the water was refreshing. There were so many options for our family of five to hang out both indoors and outdoors. The home was clean, comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you need for vacation. Definitely stay here.

For the second time we rented this lovely property and had such a wonderful, relaxing time. There's something special about sitting on the back deck or the Adirondack chairs and being calm by the water. We loved the paddle boat, the kayak and the beauty that surrounded us. We had multiple visits with the ducks and appreciated how cute they are. We built puzzles, played games, and still had time to visit other parts of the Cape. Grocery store and pharmacy was close; ice cream shop is nearby. Truly a special property. We'll be back!

My family loved the lakeside setting of this cute Cape house and the ease of spending days at the local beaches thanks to the beach pass provided with the rental. Our only regret is that the rainy days kept us from spending time kayaking the lake. Yet we spent every nice afternoon on the deck and got to know the local ducks—taking care not to overfeed them with the duck food kept in the kitchen. We also loved the house’s quiet neighborhood, central location, and easy access to main roads and highways. I was a little nervous about using the oven, but it was fine and cooked everything at temperature and on time. We took the big hint from all the lobster dinner supplies and enjoyed lobsters and stuffed quahogs on our last night.

We had a great time at this lovely home. Wonderful combination of a quiet pond out back and the beach just a short drive away. Thanks so much!

The inside of the house is bigger than it looks on the listing. It’s tastefully furnished and clean. It supported all of our activities for the week. Plenty of towels and linen. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for our group of 5 adults. The location on Long Pond was very pleasant. There was typically a nice breeze off the pond onto the back deck, with daily visits from the local ducks and geese. We like to cook a lot, and the kitchen is small and dated. However, it is a light, bright, pleasant space with plenty of pots, pans, and utensils, so we were able to produce 2 meals a day for a group of 5 for the whole week. Overall we were very pleased with this vacation home and enjoyed a lovely week there.

We found the space suitable for our family. Comfortable Adirondack chairs were arranged at the edge of the yard overlooking the pond. The children enjoyed feeding the ducks with the duck food provided by Landlord!

Family vacation - second stay
This was our second time back to this beautiful house on Long Pond. We enjoyed this week just as much as the first time. The house is immaculate and is well furnished with all of the conveniences of home. We love the location in Centerville which is close to both Craigville and Dowse’s beaches. The beach pass is a great help! We spent lots of time relaxing in the Adirondack chairs watching the peaceful activities on the pond.
Highly recommend for a quiet escape for your family on Cape Cod.

Family vacation with toddler
This house was great little getaway for what we needed. It had a stocked toddler room that made it easy ! Came with a beach pass that went to all the beautiful beaches in the area ! Long pond was perfect to take the boat out and explore the pond. To get to lake is down a hill and the area to swim was ok. We raked a bit to move a lot shells and rocks to have it ok for a 2.5 old. Adults would be Ok to jump in and cool off ! The owners we’re great and quick to respond and gave us great recommendations for the entire area ! We had a fabulous time !

Perfect family vacation
Pictures don’t do this house justice. This home is truly a gem with lovely decor and so well equipped you will have everything you need. It feels like home and you are sure to make great memories here. The yard is lovely as well and very private. We loved swimming and boating with the provided canoe and pedal boat on the serene lake. My favorite time was relaxing with my coffee in the Adirondack chairs, keeping company with the quirky ducks. The location is also ideal for close access to attractions/entertainment and for all your vacation needs. The beach pass was an added bonus. The house was impeccably clean and owner was very responsive to any questions before and during stay. For groceries, be sure to check out Lambert’s just around the corner!!! Lots of delicious ready made soups and meals for nights you don’t want to cook! I would highly recommend and would love to stay here again.

Perfect week for our family. We didn't want to leave!
We booked a last minute getaway for our family of 4 after scouring rental properties. I realized we had high expectations - something by the water that could accommodate two adventurous girls and serve as a safe escape from the DC area during the pandemic. Well, this property surpassed our expectations. Tom and Diane were incredible hosts and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The home served as a history lesson (complete with rotary phone), a summer camp complete with canoe and ducks, a great place to play board games, a peaceful place to enjoy sunset dinners and explore Cape Cod. We had access to everything we needed. I loved the decor and discovering surprises about the property. Our daughters refused to leave on our last day and continue to compare everything to "the Cape Cod House" to this day. That's a major compliment and we hope we'll be lucky enough to stay here again soon.

Lovely, lovely location!
This immaculate and spacious home has a beautiful view of Long Pond from the great room and the deck. Gazing at the pond while enjoying my morning coffee was a wonderful way to start the day. We enjoyed the accommodations, the canoe and pedal boat, as well as the adorable family of ducks that came ashore to visit a few times.
Tom was available to answer any questions we had before and during our trip. It's a short drive or bike ride to the beach and a short drive to Hyannis where you can get the ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. I highly recommend this location. Tom was wonderful to work with for this vacation.
