The personal care that I received ... special breakfast made for me, a lift to the bus station, and a few clothes laundered without a fee plus very stimulating conversation with the owner made this stay most memorable...
The room while small was very comfortable and clean and it was sound proofed so I had 2 nights of good sleep. This is a true bed and breakfast experience , like being in someone's home with home cooked food. And personal contact. It was also good value.
I have very little to find fault with. The only thing is perhaps the location which is not in the center of town. It is at least a 10 minute walk to restaurants...

Great location and facilities - very friendly staff and great breakfast . Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room etc.

Very friendly, a lovely house in a lovely place, and only a few minutes' walk from town. Everything you could want was provided in the room. The breakfast was exceptional.
Really nothing

We stayed in their beautiful bijou apartment which was very warm, comfortable & cosy. All mod cons & pretty little outside area too. Gail was so friendly & approachable, & we had a lovely chat with her before leaving. Thank you so much 🙏🌈

The hotel exceeded our expectations especially for the price and the full Welsh breakfast was the best I have had for a long while, will be staying again

Welcoming hostess.
4.6
Spotlessly clean. Welcoming host who could not do enough for us. Exceeded all our expectations for the price.
Quiet location, 10-15 minutes walk from centre. Comfy bed. Great shower.
Breakfast out of this world. Table linens, a la carte menu of cooked options and waitress service. Have had far worse in 4 and 5 star hotels.
Nothing!

Friendly welcome. Flexibility with breakfast options. Can park car nearby. Warm room, cosy with nice furnishings and comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries. Loved the honesty bar. Can definitely recommend and will return. Diolch.

Such a warm and welcoming environment. Beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were second to none. Gail is an excellent host and the breakfasts were top class. Lots of choice.
Nothing.

Nothing all excellent

Clean and warm only a 10 min walk to town
No information in room, so missed out on cockle and laverbread for breakfast as it stated on the breakfast menu that we had to order the night before!

The breakfast was amazing. They catered admirably to vegetarians and 1 pernickety vegetarian. Not usually a great fan of cooked tomatoes but these were exquisite.
Walking up the stairs but then it was a quaint house.

What a hidden Gem!! Absolutely amazing place. Spotlessly clean, Great hearty breakfast with plenty of choice.
Gail is a lovely lady that made us feel so welcome we did not want to leave. We even got homemade welsh cakes to take home!!
Would not stay anywhere else in Abergavenny. See you again soon
Thanks again Pete and Michelle

Wonderfully warm welcome and I was looked after so well by the staff! It felt like home. Super comfortable bed and brilliant shower. Breakfast was first class! Nice quiet area and a pleasant short walk into Town. Gail was lovely, the perfect host. I was there for three nights. If ever I am down that way again, I will definitely stay at Ty Llew Lodge.
I heard on the News two nights ago that Booking com customers are not being paid on time. This is so disappointing to hear, especially during this difficult Cost of Living crisis people are having to negotiate. This is not something I expect to hear about a company like Booking.com

We arrived late but was welcomed by the host who was very friendly.
The staff were also professional even bringing us our breakfast on a tray to our outside accommodation, 5 star rating.
The sofa bed could have been more comfortable but had enough pillows to soften the bed.

Lovely place! Great location, breakfast, and very kind owner.

Such a great welcome from Gail the hostess and her team, they are all so warm and friendly. Lovely room with a window looking out into a beautiful big willow tree. The location was perfect up above the town, quiet but only a short walk to the centre. Breakfasts were amazing! Lots of choice and I really enjoyed all the fruit, and on one day delicious medjool dates. A range of cooked breakfasts including a couple of vegetarian options. Nothing seemed too much to ask, for instance there was no problem when I asked for oatmilk instead of dairy.
Everything was perfect, so there was nothing I didn’t like!

Very friendly staff- extremely clean with good quality products
Would highly recommend to others

The room was clean, the interior nice and bright
Good location in a very quiet area, close to the train station and town center, with nice views
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room
The room was incredibly small, even for a budget single room.
The mattress was worn out and I could feel every single wire poking against my body at night.
From the very beginning the owner was very cold and arrogant. She kicked me out on the second day for no reason - I made a complaint about a parcel that I delivered to her address with her prior consent which disappeared, she said that she didn’t like my attitude and that I need to leave. She also has neither refunded me for the second night nor for the lost parcel and claims that I was aggressive and insulting, which is a complete lie and slander on her part. So - save your nerves and stay somewhere else

Really cozy & homely place to stay with an easy 10mins stroll to town centre. The house is gorgeous and so is the interior. There are plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu and they are all exceptional - Gail is an amazing cook (and a lovely person too, super friendly). Safe for solo travellers too, would recommend.

Ty Llew Lodge is the most delightful B&B. It is so comfortable and stylish. The breakfasts were the best I have ever had at a B&B.
4.6
Gail has turned out a really unique and welcoming BnB and it was a great place to stay when in the area for a wedding. The room and overall decor was really tasteful and clean, the breakfast was one of the best breakfast I have had (you won't leave hungry), and Gail and the team offer a really personal and inclusive service. Me and my Partner felt welcome from the minute we arrived and Gail and the team were at hand to help if we needed.
We plan to visit Ty Llew Lodge again!
Honestly, nothing.

Located a short and comfortable walk from the train station, and into town, Ty Llew Lodge is located on a pretty hill, in a pretty neighborhood. I received a warm greeting from the host, and her two beautiful and friendly Scottish Terrier dogs. I stayed for a single night, in a single room that was well equipped and very comfortable, with lovely views of Abergavenny and the mountains. Breakfast was delicious, the host is passionate about organic, locally sourced foods, and it was a perfect conclusion to a perfect short stay.
4.6
Nice quiet location. Warm welcome - very accommodating. Delicious breakfast - good coffee. All freshly prepared.
We have no complaints.
4.6
Lovely room, everything was fresh, clean and sharp. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was a powerful rainfall one, with plenty of hot water.
The breakfast was one of the best I've had anywhere - a good choice, very fresh local ingredients and cooked to perfection.
Add to all that a really friendly and helpful host and Ty Llew is very hard to beat.
We will definitely be back.
Nothing at all

Breakfast was stunning. Very high quality. Great location, just a 5min walk to town centre, 10 minutes to station. Gail was fantastic, really friendly, very accommodating, early check-in and bag drop was very helpful
Room was very small. En-suite whilst functional was a little impractical. Somewhere to hang towels, fixed mirror in either bathroom or main room would have been helpful too. Minor gripes. It was advertised as a budget single and that's what it was, albeit a really clean, nicely appointed one.
4.6
Communication was really good. We had our baby girl with us and she was showered with affection and kindness (and a fantastic breakfast!). We had a fantastic stay.
4.6
The property is stunning and set in a quiet residential area of Abergavenny, but only a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was exceptional.
