Our room was clean and comfortable and there were no problems with the bathroom. The bar downstairs is a lovely space and we were able to order from the bar menu when we were too late to book for dinner in the restaurant. We enjoyed the food and the chips were sensational. The location was excellent within walking distance from the centre of town.

Bedroom decor was very tasteful and comfortable. Excellent bathroom. The dining area and bar were cosy with beautiful light fittings that added real character. It was also easy to walk into the old part of the town.
We loved the room but it would have been even better if there had been the option of some softer pillows. Ours were quite heavy and too firm.

Everything was good
Nothing to complain about.

Beautiful hotel with stylishly decorated rooms. Exceptionally clean. Lovely location within a walking distance from the local shops and restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Everything was perfect!

Nothing except parking which was a bit difficult at times.

The friendly staff, cleanliness, sleep comfort and food.

Only one small thing, please could you consider reserving parking spaces for hotel guests? I wouldn’t mind paying extra for this. After a 4 hour drive, it’s hard to contemplate lugging your luggage into the hotel in the dark. I was lucky to get the last parking space, which was a tight squeeze. However with a number of people turning up to dine, it could have gone the other way

We loved staying in the mount edgcumbe. The room was kind of small though well equipped and had a lovely look and feel.
Staff was professional and very kind.
As my suitcase was quite heavy the owner helped me carrying this at the stairs to our room.
Breakfast was included and was very sufficient.

Very tastefully decorated.

Lovely characterful old property adapted for modern day comfort. it is at the end of a quiet lane, secluded from traffic noise but only 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The bedrooms were spacious, beds very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities with bottomless top ups if required.
We had dinner in the marquee, excellent, and a very tasty breakfast served inside the pub dining room. The pub itself is cosy and warm with little seating nooks and crannies The staff were all welcoming and friendly and flexible with our timings for room cleaning and check out times.
We can thoroughly recommend this hotel and will stay again on our next trip to Tunbridge Wells.

what a surprise, read previous feedback before booking, which was excellent. what we found was even better. room was superb, the staff could not have been friendlier and the food at breakfast and evening meal was to a very high standard and excellent value. the service we received from Owen was much appreciated. would recommend to others!
nothing.

Great service for the morning breakfast. Lovely food and great room.

The room was a lot bigger than the pictures and the bed was very comfortable and huge itself. they offered a great breakfast in the morning. the decor was very nice and we enjoyed the style inside the property and rooms. It’s a very close walk to the centre of Tunbridge Wells too.
The hotel on the outside looks a bit out dated but don’t let that fool you, it’s a very nice hotel!

very nice boutique hotel, very quite and peaceful
good breakfast and staff a very helpful and polite. will be returning soon
wasn’t clear as to where the reception was

Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely spacious and stylish room, super comfy bed and beautiful bathroom with a powerful shower - excellent! Much appreciated the Nespresso machine, bottled water and air conditioning.
Delicious hot breakfast with barista coffee.
Excellent location - just 10 mins' walk across the Common into town
Highly recommended
It was fine for us but it's totally unsuitable for anyone who struggles with stairs. As you'd expect for a historic venue, there were many steps, stairs and levels between the rooms, front door and restaurant so it could be a challenge for some guests.

Room was very quiet overlooking woods and grass. It was cool despite it being a very hot day because it was in shade and the windows were open to let a lovely breeze through. There was also air conditioning if we needed it but we were fine without it.
We were greeted by a friendly manager on arrival and told about emergency procedures and exits at night which was reassuring. He answered all our questions and said to just ask if we needed anything.
We loved the quirkiness of the bathroom with its safari themed wallpaper and the roll top bath as well as shower cubicle basin and soft close toilet.Bath robes and slippers were there for use if wanted.
The bed was very comfortable and the furniture matched the room and building. We loved the circus wallpaper in the stairways and the rustic dining area and cost cave in the bar. In fact we loved everything.
The breakfast was the best we have ever had and was served by a friendly waitress who happily saw to all our needs. The food quality was excellent.
The hotel was set away from the town on the edge of the common so was away from traffic noise but near enough for us to walk everywhere we needed to go.
The hotel exceeded our expectations and we will be recommending it to friends.
The signage on the main road was hidden by traffic on arrival so we missed the drive across the common to Mount Edgcumbe which was a right turn down a slope and into trees, not easily seen from the road.
Just a suggestion. Put a copy of the menu and wine list in the guest info folder in the bedrooms.

location
on arrival we found the reception very u friendly and was welcomed with are we going to pay for the 2 nights before we had hardly got through the door. no check was made on our car reg no or details. The rooms were VERY small , we could hardly pass each other!! The breakfast was very poor. 2 large rounds of toast and pot if butter came on the same plate as cooked breakfast, no side plates.

Parking tight at times

AirCon in the bedroom on the hottest day ever and great breakfast included.

Beautiful large room with superking bed, loved the rainforest shower, quirky room with roll top bath in the bedroom.
The Staff, Management were excellent ! little hiccup with the rooms but they were so obliging and accommodating, extra treat left us a bottle of chilled prosecco in the room.
Valentino and Emma were very attentive on our special weekend away.
The Breakfast was delicious ! Didnt saty for an evening meal, but food looked delicious.
Nothing - All perfect.
