A unique experience to stay with a wonderful family at an amazing location.

We loved staying with Janaki and Dhani! They were such great hosts and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We spent many happy hours chatting on the terrace, enjoying delicious chai and taking in the incredible views. Tansen is a beautiful, traditional Nepalese town, largely off the beaten tourist track, which we loved. Would definitely visit again.

The lovely home of Janaki and Dhan provides everything a traveller needs: Lovely, comfortable rooms with a private bathroom, a fantastic view over Tansen and the „white lake“ (mist in the valley) from the balcony paired with the warm welcome of hosts that care.
Though tucked against the hillside it is only a 5 min walked through the lively alleys down to the centre of town.
This place is absolutely recommended for people seeking a welcoming homestay.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, generous and kind. All aspects of our stay here exceeded expectations. I would recommend staying here.

Very clean, spacious and homely with everything we needed. Our hosts were super helpful and welcoming and made us a wonderful amazing evening meal and breakfast. I am vegan and they were immediately accommodating of that. Couldn’t recommend more!
Only that it could be better signposted right up to the property

This place will always be in our heart. The most amazing and caring family that helped us in so many ways during our stay (we ended up staying a week!). Great food, super clean room and house and the kindest hosts ever. Thank you

*Rooms, and house, are well maintained and clean. It matches with the pictures and description.
Really peaceful to sit on the balconies and just watch / listen city life.
Just in the street under the homestay, you would find tiny local restaurants and everything needed (in addition to the Dal Baht shared with the family if you want).
*The family: Janaki, Dhoni and their two young adult "kids" would make all they can to allow you to spend the most pleasant stay as possible. Maybe you won't be lucky to see all the 4 at the same time, but it doesn't matter, you would receive by the others all the care you need, and more. You don't just sleep in their house, you incorporate their family during a short period of time. All of them are interested by others and are so so much interesting. When I would be at home and would remember about Nepal, their kindness will be the first thing to come in my mind.
*Tansen: the town deserves better than a 1 or 2 night stops.
If you want to relax, the town is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Not a lot of trafic or noises because of its hilly location.
If you prefer walking, there are tons of day hikes around (not only the ones mentionned in travel guides). You can "easily" walk 4/5/6 hours and catch a bus to come back. Countryside around is varied and people so welcoming.

I spent one week in this beautiful homestay and I definitely wont regret it.
Janaki and her family are warm, smart and nice people. The bedroom was really comfy, the bed, the attached bathroom, the cleaness.
The breakfast included is awesome, I enjoyed the handmade pancakes each morning. Also, you cant forget the amazing view that the house offers !!!
I had the luck to have a terrasse for me....and ooooh I just felt in love with it.
The horizon homestay IS an experiment to live.
The hosts pay attention to you and respect your intimacy. They are present to book with you activities and give you important tips to visit the areas.
Tansen is a colored, peaceful, full of good vibes town. There are many things to do and see in the surrondings.
I loved my week here and one day I will come back with my family to enjoy this moment. I felt privileged and lucky to stay in this house.
Janaki's family is charming, and the hosts are professionnal.
You wont regret your stay here !!!
Welcome in Tansen.
PS: There is a delicious restaurant, 30 seconds down away from the homestay.... It offers tasty meals with nepalese prices. It was so great !!!
