Great hotel, just don't always expect a quiet night.

The room was spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. In a beautiful location, within walking distance of beaches and town.

The only we had were the sound coming from the pub below each night. There was very loud music that went on late, and our youngest (10) struggled to get to sleep. On the Saturday night the bass was so loud glasses in our room were shaking. This was a inconvenience to us, not enough of one to stop us staying there again.

Good location, shared bathrooms, staff friendly enough. close to the beach and train station

The location was the main reason for booking, Tea and coffee provided

My own fault never noticed it was shared bathroom (1 bathroom with sink & wc) (1 shower room with wc & sink) massive cracks in the sink and chips in the bath shared with several rooms. pre arrival was advised live music until the small hours which I was prepared for. on arrival you book in at the pub bar not ideal with baggage and the bar full of punters enjoying themselves and you need to Q up to speak to someone. couldn't find my booking to start with then found it 3 times for different days. only 1 key for the door coffee mugs were filthy on arrival had the wash them in the shared bathroom not ideal. carpet was not hovered over the whole time of my stay.

The food at the pub was quite good.

The rooms had extremely thin walls. Drunk people with young children jumping around and screaming all night next door made it impossible to relax and sleep. The drunken women next door even barged into our room and threatened us when we asked her to please quiet down. Also, there is no private bathroom. It is shared and in dire need up repair.

The staff were friendly and the room and toilet facilities clean. This is basic accommodation (cheap and cheerful), essentially a place to sleep and nothing more. A kettle and cups are provided. Their is a shared bath and shower available. The location is excellent, with a pleasant view over the the harbourside of Irvine, and only a 10 minute walk to the town center and local supermarkets. The rooms are above a pub/restaurant which is loud at the weekends, this may a bonus to some, but a pain if you are a light sleeper. Would I stay here again? yes.

Nicola is a very warm and helpful host. She.couldnt do enough to make our stay more comfortable. We ate in the Restuarant in the pub below and food was delicious and service first rate. The Fish dish I had was amazing and Handcut chips so perfect, best meal I've had for a longtime. My Partner had a Burger which he said was really tasty. A lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. Views and location perfect.

The fact we had not found this GEM of a place sooner.

lovely clean rooms. the food in the restaurant down stairs was outstanding. lovely friendly staff. we came to visit our niece in Saltcoats and this hotel didn’t disappoint. would stay here again defiantly

Worth for price

Comfortable bed, lovely room. Quiet location after midnight, easy to find, park, check in and out.

Shared shower drain was blocked, toilets were not cleaned by people after use. I can’t blame the staff for that. Rooms are above the pub. If you happen to book a room whilst there is a party it can be loud, but very quiet after midnight.

Really satisfied like we were when we stayed in April

Stayed here before and will be staying here again, The staff and the regulars in the bar are very friendly and polite. This time we stayed 4 nights and it was great value for what we payed and we shall book again next April. Train station just 5 mins walk away also shops supermarkets and a very tidy and clean wetherspoons.

Clean, great location and friendly staff

Very clean and great location. Staff very helpful and always looking to cater for your needs. Stayed Friday & Saturday live music was good and finished around 12:30 so no issues for us sleeping, beds comfy. They have 6 rooms above the bar with 2 shared bathrooms. For the price I think it was very good value when you factor in the rooms are not en-suite. Ate in the bar restaurant on the Saturday and food was good with good service. Travelled with 2 kids and they slept fine as well. No hesitation in recommending for stay for night or two.

No en-suite bathroom but price reflects this so cant really complain

Lovely little gem of a place especially for the price

The room 1 double bed and 2 singles in same room ideal as traveling with our two grand children. The beds where comfy, the room very clean with brilliant view ample parking on street Make sure you have a meal in the bar the food was fantastic very friendly bar staff made very welcome.

Not so keen on shared bathroom with other guests but been an old building no other option but very clean. Been nice if you could of got a breakfast

Great overnight stay.

Fab over night stay....great location ...very central for shopping, and other amenities,..🤪 room was comfortable and staff were very pleasant....and thank you to the young man ( server) who had to assist me with the upper door to accomodation..... restaurant food was lovely .. entertainment did not bother us at all....nor did sharing the bathroom/ shower rooms.

Nice to wallk outside Estuary and Maritime Muzeams and Shopclose by wallk to and worth visiting.

No breakfast facility here. Food in bar good

Staircase -painted concrete finish - steep Karioke very enjoyable and drinks in bar very reasonable and friendly
