About this house rental
Beautiful cottage home located on a canal in treasure cay. Green Gecko is a 2 story canal home that is 3,500 sqft with a detached garage. It has a covered front and back porch that runs the length of the house. The comfortable back porch overlooking the canal is a perfect place to read a book, sit and have lunch/dinner, or just relax and enjoy the breeze.
The master bedroom is located downstairs with a large bathroom and large walk in closet. Master has its own dedicated AC.
3 bedrooms upstairs 2 of them have on suite bathrooms. The house is set up with 3 AC units that keep the house nice and cool. Also many ceiling fans located in the rooms and the back porch.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the kitchen supplies needed to mix up a tasty beverage or make a wonderful meal.
A laundry room is located just off the kitchen stocked with detergents and dryer sheets. You will also find an iron and iron board in the laundry room as well.
Dining room table seats 6 and 2 chairs located at the peninsula in kitchen.
The living room has spacious seating and is set up with the local cable channels. House is also set up with WiFi.
Green Gecko is sitting on a nice size lot which is very quite and private. Not many surrounding neighbors if you want that secluded feel. Enjoy the beautiful landscaped garden that has been meticulously maintained from when the house was built. Lucious sea grapes line the property.
Enjoy the large backyard with private dock on a quiet canal that will fit a boat up to 45’. Dock has full hook up with shore power and water. Additional $30 a day for shore power hook up.
Just to the side of the dock is a covered gazebo that sits over the water. It is set up with bar stools and tiled countertops. It is set up with a BBQ grill, sink, ceiling fan and outdoor lighting.
This house is truly amazing and offers everything you need to have a wonderful time in treasure cay.
The house also comes with 2 kayaks and a paddle board so you can cruise the canals for nice views or some early morning exercise.
Green Gecko is tastefully designed with island artwork, nice vibrant Bahamian colors, rattan furniture and nice island touches to create the relaxed and comfortable tropical setting.
Green Gecko is just 20 min from Treasure Cay airport (TCC) and 30-40 min taxi ride from Marsh Harbor (MHH).
Treasure Cay offers many things. You can rent a boat in the marina, go see the pigs on No Name Cay, snorkel, or fish the beautiful waters. You can be deep dropping or trolling in just 25 min from the dock at Green Gecko. Cruise the near by islands on your boat and visit all the bars and restaurants our just sight see. Wonderful white powder beaches to explore.
Treasure also offers an 18 hole golf course along with tennis and pickle ball.
Treasure offers some bars and restaurants for you to sit and enjoy some tasty Bahamian food or nice cold drinks.
Tipsy Bar is located in the marina where you can sit pool side or at the bar area and enjoy the people, music, dancing and the famous pizza every Thursday night.
Coco beach bar is located on one of the top ten beaches named by National Geographic. Sit and enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters. Coco beach bar also offers some water toys for rent.
Bahama Beach Club also sits on treasure cay beach. Sit and enjoy lunch/dinner pool side while being served by the wonderful staff.
Green gecko sits about 5 min golf cart ride to the hub of town. In town you have access to all restaurants, gift shops, the marina, ferries, boat and golf/ car rental, the local store to get all the food you need, a liquor store for beer/hard alcohol/wine/mixers and much much more.
Visit the bakery to get fresh made Bahamian bread and famous cinnamon rolls.
Green Gecko has its own generator and 500 gallon water tank. Self sufficient when we loose power on island.

This house was even nicer than the pictures. Property owner and property manager were super responsive although once we got there, the house was totally turnkey, and we really never needed their assistance. We were able to tie up two boats at the dock, and enjoyed all the amenities.

The house had everything needed and is in a quiet and great location. Kurt was a huge help in getting us some carts and Joslin was there within minutes if anything was needed, next time in Treasure we will stay at the Green Gecko.

Quiet neighborhood North of Marsh Harbor. Beautiful home with exceptional water access to Sea of Abaco. We were able to secure our boat at the dock at house. Gas, ice, pizza and fine restaurant close by. Once on Sea of Abaco, just a short drive to see the pigs, snorkel along the reefs, see Bakers Bay and visit Man of War Cay. My top shopping destination at Man of War for the infamous canvas bags! From there, just a short boat ride to Hopetown for lunch.

Great Abaco location deep water canal
We went on our boat from North Palm Beach, Florida to Treasure Cay. Green Gecko was a phenomenal home, very comfortable, great central location, fully stocked, and the dock was perfect for a 34 foot boat. The listing it’s a clear representation of the reality of the house, We could not have picked a better home for our stay. Kurt was great to deal with, we will definitely love to stay again in the future. Thank you for hosting us.

Green Gecko did not disappoint!
We had an amazing stay at Green Gecko. Kurt was very responsive leading up to the trip and throughout. Josler, the property manager, was amazing as well. We had 4 adults and 5 children (ages 9 to 14) and everyone had a blast. The dock was perfect for us to tie the boat up easily. House has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We came in on a boat and spent every day out on the water. Security of the property was never a concern. Can't wait for a return trip, would definitely recommend Green Gecko to anyone.

Great house, perfect location. Kurt was very helpful answering questions and helping line of a golf cart and boat rental if needed. House is on the Canal w/ huge boat lift and 3 kayaks and a SUP. Treasure is still in recovery mode but this house has everything you need. We spent most days on the boat checking out other Cays but Windward beach is maybe 1/2 miles, it’s even prettier than before Dorian. Don’t hesitate to book this house and support our friends in the Abacos who are just now getting their island back together.

Terrific Stay in Treasure Cay
Clean, quiet and exactly what we wanted for a stay in the Bahamas. Central location for any activities from Elbow Cay to Spanish Cay. Great dockage for our 33 ft. center console - easy to maneuver in the crystal clear canal where we saw huge tarpon, sea turtles and a variety of other marine life. Spacious and beautifully decorated, the house was comfortable for our family of 6 (4 young adult kids). The owners were available for questions and even loaned a tool we had forgotten. Close to fuel and all the amenities at Treasure Cay Resort including groceries, hardware, restaurants, golf cart rental. Those of us not fishing could take a quick golf cart ride to the beach, or kayak and swim in the canal. We hope to stay at Green Gecko again!

Top-Notch Property is one of the BEST I've Found!
We travel a LOT and I am VERY picky, and I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful waterfront home! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed! The home was absolutely sparkling from top to bottom and it is beautifully furnished in island decor. The owners even kindly left us wine, liquor, and large ice bags which were much appreciated after our travel day. There were fresh flowers in conch shells, both inside and outside that added welcoming touches! This is not a cheaply-done vacation home. It's furnished with nice-quality furnishings; thick, fluffy towels; plenty of beach towels; a fully-appointed kitchen; and ALL the comforts of home! (There's even extra phone cords here, in case you forget yours!) The women in our group flew to Treasure Cay, while the men boated across from Florida. The home offers a very nice dock with fresh water that easily accommodated our 30' Grady White boat, even at low tide. It has a fish cleaning station and a large, covered grilling area with gas grill, complete with bar area and barstools for enjoying the sunsets on the water. The home has both a covered front porch and spacious covered back porch with two ceiling fans and plenty of nice seating areas for enjoying cocktails in the evenings. There's even a separate garage that has a 2nd refrigerator that's great for storing extra food, bait, and the day's catch. The master suite is lovely with a walk-in closet and spacious bathroom, with both a shower and separate bathtub. The upstairs is awesome and well-planned with three bedrooms that sleep six very comfortably. The entire home has extra-tall ceilings with tall doors (maybe 10') and nice trims and upgraded features, just like one enjoys at home. We all felt so comfortable here at the end of our days on the boat or island-hopping! And I can not say enough about the friendly, attentive owners who were always available with answers to questions, recommendations, directions to places on the island, and more. Claire & Kurt were such a joy to deal with and they made our stay even more memorable! Can't wait to go back and visit again!

The green gecko house and the property owners where as close to perfect as anyone could expect. They went above and beyond to help my family out of a bad situation and turn it into a fabulous vacation by allowing us to rent there bueatiful home on the canal.
