I liked everything about the actual property.
The food selection was a bit limited which was rough because the property is in the mountains and really feels dangerous to reach. Once we got there, we loved it which was great but didn’t want to leave simply because of the inconvenience and cost of getting to and back from town.

The location is stunning!
We did not have warm water at all to shower!

The place

This is a jewel surrounded by nature. The "road" is very rough and has to be in a jeep. A place of total relaxation and beauty.
It was very disappointing that our room was not private at all, the next room was a family room and we had to share the balcony with the children passing in front of our room, as well as the staff, so we had to close our door for privacy, so we couldn't have a view. We can even hear the flushing of the toilet, the conversations next door. The best rooms are the cottages.

We had an exceptional experience at this hotel thanks to their amazing staff who made us feel wonderful. Not only did they take great care of us, but they also work in the natural reserve to rescue animals and help the ecosystem. During our stay, we had enjoyable conversations with John, were served excellently by Freddy at the restaurant, and had an unforgettable coffee tour with Jose. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I wish them the best of luck with their noble mission and hope to come back soon.
To increase awareness about their animal rescue work and the stories of the animals under their care, the hotel could consider sharing more information with visitors. This may inspire more donors and ideas to support their mission. While the property has signs encouraging visitors to keep the area clean, I did notice plastic and other waste near the river banks and walking paths in the open nature. One idea could be to invite/ask visitors to pick up any garbage they encounter and also put the signs in Spanish for the local people to understand. PS: The massage service is a bit pushy (annoying) and too expensive for what you get. Furthermore, I invite the hotel management to decrease amount of plastic used and add more local/organic choice to their menu. Why french-fries instead of Arepa? or soft drinks instead of agua de panela :)

This place is remote and we enjoyed the solitude and privacy. We loved hanging out on the balcony in the company of hummingbirds. The property is a short walk to Cascada Marinka, and this is the only thing we did in our 3 days there. The perfect spot to relax and read a book. The food was good, but the portions were massive!
There was nothing we didn't like, but you must be aware that this place is remote and difficult to get to. Once you're there, you're there. Don't plan on going up and down to Minca or doing any day trips fron this location.

Precious views, lovely animals and generally a wonderful stay.
Room could have been cleaner, i.e mini bar had opened beverages and glasses were dirty.

Very difficult to get to but absolutely worth it once you are there.

Amazing place, beautiful with peacocks and colibris roaming around the facility and beautiful parrots and birds, flowers, just beautiful. It's less than 10 min walk to Marinka falls which were wonderful! The food was delicious with a great chef Carlos. The food was prepared on the spot with fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. Henry, the property manager was very accommodating and always ready to help. He even lent us his phone so we can tether internet and work one morning due to a small internet problem that was fixed later in the afternoon. He was always courteous and ready to help.
The only thing to mention is the ride up and down to the hotel. It's a 30 min bumpy ride in a jeep on a road with large potholes and windy roads. The scenery is very wild and our driver was amazing and very courteous. The ride coated $100,000 COP and It's not for everyone but if you like adventure in the wild then it's perfect. All in all great experience and highly recommended, you'll be literally in the jungle.

Extraordinary sense of peace and incredible views from balcony and ..... shower. Lovely walks. Great fresh breakfast.
I think most reviews say that the access road is bad, and it is, but the hotel coordinates 4X4 connections with taxi to Santa Marta etc, and, in any case, the walk down from the hotel to Minca is great. We had a fantastic day on Playa de los Angeles, easy by taxi and bus...

incredible location. amazing views from the rooms
the food from the restaurant was very basic

Location is amazing, the views spectacular, rooms are cosy and nicely decorated.
The place was understaffed so we had repeatedly faced communications problems with the hotel staff. During our stay there was a power outage and the backup power plant was faulty, which meant one of our rooms was left without hot water for two days.

The hotel is located in the most beautiful setting I have ever been to. combined with the animal rescue, you feel like you have ended in natures paradise. Additionally the best food I ever had in entire Columbia, prepared by the best chef and artist Camillo. There is no need where else to go, they made me simply feel like being home.
unfortunately there was a
misunderstanding with my transportation. The hotel organized me a pick up for which I have never asked for. My Spanish is not the best, I am trying, however I think if you check in in a better hotel
it would help if the staff at reception could speak at least some basic English. one person does but the other doesn’t and then misunderstandings happen. I felt bad about it but I couldn’t do anything since I never asked for transportation.

Location! The views were astounding. The room was comfortable with a balcony where we could drink in the views and watch the birds. Best breakfast we’ve had so far in Colombia.

Nice place, at the end of terrible road, quite far from center od Minca. Facility sorrounded by greenery with lots of birds.
Hot water only in theory, because of location very little sunlight (directly no sunrise or sunset), value to money overpriced.

completely perfection - the description on booking.com does not do this place justice - it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed.
nothing. it’s gorgeous and everything is very well considered.
