Excellent place

Was clean and tidy. Kitchen clean and tidy. Parking on-site. Bedroom tidy with clean towels

Drove past as Street number not easily found.cobwebs in bathroom and toilet upstairs

Comfortable room with the most gorgeous view

Big functional kitchen , had everything i needed to cook a large meal. The beds were comfortable with fresh clean linen. The view was outstanding.Has a comfortable homely feel.

The creeky staircase, felt like it would disturb other guests. The broken toilet seat. Didn’t like sharing bathroom however with small guest numbers it’s hardly noticeable.The parking isn’t the best however other guests were courteous and it wasn’t an issue. No T.V however didn’t really miss it as was too busy

Very dirty!

The holiday house was in poor condition. Hygiene was bad, there were stains on the beddings. The carpet was not clean and we got bitten by mites. The room was not at the same condition as shown on the photo on website. There were no TV as described. The shared toilet was not of condition.

Comfortable stay and good location with a few quibbles.

This is an excellent location: beautiful view of the Lake and close to the city.

With two other cars parked in the narrow driveway parking was problematic. There was no milk on offer to go with the tea and coffee. The bathroom was a bit tired and the window to the Lake needed a good clean.

Needs new management and care

Didn't like anything

It was un hygienic. There was no batteries in the lounge TV so we could not watch TV. There was no spoons just fork n knives. Door handles need to be tighting. Would not recommend to anybody at all. Location was good. But think more care needs to be implemented because it looks like your just taking tourist money for a cheap room. Rated 0 out of 10 stars.

Beautiful view. A couple of maintenance issues will have this house with a higher rating!

Great view and location to town. Comfy bed.

Major: The shower head must be replaced. It was like standing a hose. Minor: Toilet seat was wobbly. Toilet paper was not attached to wall.

Disappointing

Location awesome and great value.

General cleanliness was disappointing. A lot mould in bathroom, and place smell damp from the clothes dryer.

Stay Away! Owner is rude, disrespectful, inhospitable!

The best thing was leaving a place first thing in the morning, while still dark outside.

The man who greeted me has no business interacting with anyone. This person doesn't understand hospitality. I realize I should have checked reviews from other sites that mention the ill tempered inhospitable man. Owner was there when I arrived before 2pm. He needed to verify my identity, but said he couldn't wait for me to open my email. He told me to check my email on how to check in. Instead of helping he said figure it out yourself He yelled at me later in the evening as I tried to lock the door. Remember he refused to help me check in earlier in the day. Also, the white sheets show stains. There are cobwebs in the bathroom. And the accumulating dust in the shower upstairs has not been cleaned in sometime. Understand the first impression was made by the owner. He's inhospitable. I told him I would share my experience via review to which his reply is "You can do whatever you want." Also there is no sign announcing this lacking accommodation. Currently there is a large political billboard.

Homestay

I loved the location, beside the lake with beautiful views. I also liked how close it was to the hospital. The bed was comfortable and there was good heating. The kitchen was well equipped too.

The steep driveway and multiple steps made checking in a struggle. Some maintenance is required with access door lock and fridges need defrosting.

I don't rate it well I didn't even want to stay, I chose to drive through the night instead.

The owner was very helpful.

Quiet. Problem free. Amazing view

I liked how easy it was. Easy instruction about how to enter house etc. I liked how responsive via text the operator was

I would suggest adding another lock on door that separated our room to the living room just to provide peace of mind. But no biggie

Handy to train and bus. Warm and comfortable.

I was just staying one night, arriving by train and leaving by Intercity coach, so I needed a place in walking distance of the train station, the transport centre, and places to eat. This location was excellent, and allowed me to have a walk around the lake as well. The house was solid and warm, with no strange smell or noises.

Some complementary milk for cups of tea would've been nice.

The view was nice.

The toilet roll holder would always fall off, my room was right next to the toilet and people were using it throughout the night it was very noisy. Some guests arrived in the middle of the night when it was supposed to be quiet so that kept me awake. Not much parking at all and the guests that arrived in the night had blocked me in with their car. Other guests weren't using the door locking mechanism properly, was all a bit of a shambles, thankfully I didn't have to pay much for the room.

There were more or less fifteen spiders in our room, although we were told it was cleaned. But at least the accomodation provides an effective Spray.

Stayed there in December 2020, so knew what to expect. Repeat visitor.

The weather, access, and expectations mostly met. Soy milk on offer SO WELCOME, as this Guest has a dairy allergy. The view FROM the property includes a vista of the full length of the Lake, with the Hospital in the far end.

Having a bedside light operated from bed would be so welcome. Having a mirror in the room. Like to be able to wash hands even when somebody else is in the shower room (handbasin in toilet?).
