Complete peace and quiet and a great location for walks along the canal.

The location where excellent, about 1 mile walk down the canal path in to Skipton, with a beautiful park on the way where the dogs could have a good run. The views for cottage the are amazing!
The weather where a little wet, so didn't go far, as there is a field about 50 yards away, where they have room for caravans and tents, which were empty so the dogs could a run around safely!
The cottage is not secure for the dogs, have it has no gates on the drive way!
And the wasp nest in the garden!

Nice bed in the main room, good location.
The ash tray in the fireplace was full of ash and needed cleaning before use. First thing in the morning of our second day somebody let themselves in the property to deliver some bathmats, we weren’t happy to be woken up that early. At one point we wanted to use the vacuum cleaner, when we got the vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard it was absolutely full of dirty and animal hair, when I turned the vacuum cleaner on it’s absolutely stank of wet animals wet animals, disgusting. The frying pans could do with replacing, when we came to use them everything we cooked stuck to the pan, even with oil in the pan.

Everything you would need was in the house. The log burner was 'warm'!

We thoroughly enjoyed our break in this spacious, comfortable, fully equipped barn conversion, with a well furnished south facing patio, car parking alongside, views across the canal to the distant hills, and easy access to the well maintained towpath walk into Skipton.

Perfect location for us; very peaceful, easily accessible, felt secure, pretty location.
The sofas were a bit hard.

Easy walk to the canal path, short walk to the station for those family members arriving by train. Pleasant patio and garden area. well equipped kitchen and roomy comfortable lounge.
Nothing apart from limited recycling facilities and we could not get the key safe to work.

A great location for exploring Yorkshire. A great place to return to at the end of the day…. warm, quiet and comfortable. And apart from the cows mooing at the end of the day(which we loved), just like home. We also liked that Skipton was a mile walk along the towpath and loved looking at the barges.
The internet could be a problem at times. Difficult to get onto at times, particularly at the end of the day.

The barn is beautiful with very spacious rooms. It was also well insulated and heated with the option of altering/turning off the heating. We were never cold. It was very clean and comfortable too. The double bedrooms both have comfy large king size beds with a wardrobe and dresser and still plenty of floor space to walk comfortably around. Only one has ensuite, the other uses the bathroom within the living area. Both have showers. Towels, linen, hand soap, washing up liquid toilet rolls all provided. Lovely views and a great walk into the centre of Skipton via the canal, about 20 mins walk. The centre of Skipton is a thriving, busy and beautiful place with an abundance of shops, places to eat and drink, walks and even a castle. It is extremely dog friendly, in fact I would say one of the most dog friendly places I have been. Almost all the pubs and cafes and some of the shops welcome dogs. Castle Woods is definitely worth visiting if you like a walk.
Nothing really, although an enclosed garden would have been useful having 2 dogs but we were told the garden was not enclosed at the time of booking so we were prepared for this.

Comfy and homely, well equipped. We would come again.

More kindling for fire. House was quite cold on arrival (understandably given time of year and weather conditions) and it took a while to get wood burning stove going to make a reasonable heat in large sitting room.
