oasis in front of the beach

The location is just perfect, in front of a beach paradise surrounded by coconut trees, close to the Matara center but at the same time in a peaceful area, perfect to rest after a day of adventures. The gardens and the pool are so amazing, the villa was super comfortable and well decorated, just like the whole hotel. We had incredible meals in front of the beach. Sri Lanka is so amazing, people always with a smile and willing to help. Is a safe country to visit, with an incredible culture and really nice food. Thank you so much to Myriam and Jean for receiving us so well and for all the incredible tips and organized activities about Sri Lanka. We spent wonderful moments in this hotel and we will miss everything so much.

Revitalizing experience with the best people

Amazing private hotel, cozy, nice pool, great location facing the beach. The villas are well located so that there is privacy for all guests. The beach is great for surfing and swimming, clean sand, not many people. Myriam and Jean made sure that our stay was enjoyable and Axel helped us ride our first waves. Lobster dinner was the best

Fantastic stay, highly recommend!

Everything! The hosts are wonderful and the gardens, pool and rooms are beautiful. the beach is lovely and quiet and great for surfing and Axel, the surf instructor, was really helpful. There’s also a lovely boutique and the restaurant food is delicious. Sad we couldn’t stay for longer!

The most perfect retreat

- The photos are very accurate and if anything place is so much better in person - Super friendly family-run hotel with fantastic and helpful staff - The location is incredible with a beautiful beach at your doorstep as well as a great pool - Really great and varied food with daily chef specials that we particularly enjoyed - Surf instructor on-site (Axl - the son of the owners!) who was really patient and fun. You can also rent the surf boards to practice in your own time - This place is perfect for a retreat and to experience the Sri lankan coast on a almost private and beautiful beach, however, it is a little far from other places if you are considering visiting other places along the coast (and also difficult to leave!) - Very helping in helping us with airport transfers, tuktuks and local recommendations - Generator worked throughout our stay through the scheduled power cuts so it was a comforatble stay

- There was a camera on the porch of our room which felt a little excessive and so we didn't really sit there despite it being a nice space

Overall a fantastic stay. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The onsite restaurant has an excellent chef with daily specials. All of the staff along with the hosts were extremely friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the direct access to the to the beach and even took advantage of their on site surf lessons and rentals. I would highly recommend staying here and taking a surf lesson!

Boutique hotel with great cocktails and amazing surf in a beautiful setting

This boutique hotel is run by a very warm and welcoming family and staff making our stay a complete joy. They arranged a great-tasting special vegetarian food option for us every lunch/dinner during our stay. Also, we enjoyed an amazing 6 day surf lesson with the hotel’s professional surf instructor Axel, who is both a great teacher and very fun to hang out with. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to surfing! After the lesson we usually ended up in the hotel lounge/restaurant area facing the ocean for an amazing caipirinha. Simply put, we’re very pleased with our stay!

Extraordinary hotel, rooms, restaurant and beach. We will come be back next year!

We had an awesome stay in a beach villa, literally a few meters away from the beach. Perfect Beach break for surfers. Breakfast was extraordinary and lunch and dinner was prepared by a chef who worked in numerous 5-star places before - we were surprised by the quality and taste every day :) The cheesecake is also a must! The owners really made us feel like home and we had a great time with them. We will come be back next year!

the breakfast was amazing! I did not expect this good food! everything tasted fresh and the service was the best. you really feel welcome at all time! the place is a bit far away for the roads, which is nice so you only hear the waves in the morning.

the internet is a bit bad, most of the time we didn't have internet at all, but if you come to relax, you don't really need the internet.

Amazing beachfront boutique hotel with lovely people!

The design of the property is simply stunning with a mix of Sri Lankan influence and modern decor. The menu is well balanced with local and international dishes which the chef and kitchen prepare with great care and attention. The staff are simply lovely and the hosts have a very nice personalised approach to ensuring all guests are made very welcome indeed. Great spot for catching waves right on the beach!
