Comfortable little beach house with a 7 minute walk to a great beach, Roger Wheeler. Salty Brine Beach is within walking distance as well. Quiet neighborhood and close to many restaurants and ice cream places. Scarborough South Beach also close by. Benny’s Clam Shack right up the street with excellent seafood. I will definitely be back.

Nice, simple beach house. Nothing fancy, but everything you need and a super short walk to the beach. Myself, my wife and our two kids loved our stay here. Sue, the owner responded immediately to our questions and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Will be back.

We enjoyed being so close to the Roger Wheeler Beach that we could go home for lunch and return to enjoy the sun and waves. Quiet area and great for walking and biking. Close to restaurants and beautiful drive along the coast.

My husband and I stayed with my two children and two adult friends. We found the space to be clean and easy to use. The house was fairly small but we knew that going in. There was still plenty of couch space for us to gather around and watch a movie or to sit down for dinner.
The host responded very quickly to any questions we had online .

A walk to the beach!
Terrific location with a short walk on a sandy path to Roger Wheeler State Beach, so convenient. After a day at the beach take an outdoor shower with hot/cold water.
Our family of four was comfortable and loved the sleeping porch upstairs to help beat the heat. The back yard and deck include a gas grill for summer time BBQs. Ample parking for relatives to visit and enjoy the beach as well.
We enjoyed our stay and hope you do too!

Perfect!
Quintessential beach cottage steps away from Roger Wheeler and Sand Hill Cove. All the amenities you need with the no-frills-attached summer cottage experience rarely offered in this day and age. Communication with the owner was easy, with quick responses! Would recommend to friends and family!

Enchanted Cottage
Resting near an ancient stone wall, under the shade of a sprawling tree, sits the enchanted yellow cottage an earshot from the breaking surf. For those who remember Narragansett in the old days of Army tents and miniature golf, this rustic cottage will satisfy the desire for an old time cottage. It was a fun stay, I found myself lounging under the tree in the back, an extension of the living area.

Privacy and accessibility
This is the third time renting the Sunflowers cottage. It is located a short walk to the beach, and has privacy for yourself and guests. Easy to cook inside or grill outdoors. Only issue is lack of lighting near dining table and kitchen sink. Otherwise great stay. Outdoor shower is great after a swim.

House was in a great location for our vacation, owner was very nice. Washer and dryer worked well, good water pressure and a new gas grill. However i would not rent this property again and cannot recommend it, as it is not well kept.
The house needed a serious airing out, because of mustiness, and in need of a de-cluttering. We had to do way too much cleaning and dusting upon arrival, vaccuming furniture, sweeping floors, shaking out rugs, cleaning the toasters and trash containers. All the fans we used needed to be cleaned as well as filters for the AC's. The vent tube on the upstairs portable AC was in poor condition, as it was not connected well(fell apart, fell out of window). The refrigerator leaked inside, and there was mold on the door gaskets and underneath pan, the microwave had rust inside as discussed with owner, the upholstered furniture and the mattresses were well used and needed a thorough cleaning at the very least, or should be replaced. The outside shower without enclosure did not work well for us. i feel i overpaid for this rental and the cleaning fee was definitely not warrented.

Another great stay!
This is the second year we have stayed in the little yellow cottage in Galilee. The walk to the beach is perfect. Just far enough for a stroll each evening and close enough to run back if you forgot something. The sunsets were gorgeous. The cottage has everything you need for the week; stove, fridge, washer, dryer , AC and grill. The Catalpa tree keeps the yard cool and green. Being so close to fresh seafood and shops is also a bonus. Thanks again for a great week!

Great location!
Quaint cottage in a great location! Short walk down a path to a free state beach. Five minute drive to ferry to Block Island, deep sea fishing charters, and buying lobsters off the dock. Fantastic seafood restaurants minutes away. We also took the thirty minute drive to Newport to take a harbor cruise and watch a summer college baseball game. We also enjoyed gocart racing and minigolf five minutes away. The cottage was perfect for our family of four. The pictures are accurate. The owner had a brand new Weber grill delivered part way through our stay. We have rented several cottages and condos in beach locations and this was one of our most enjoyable!

Close walk to the beach!
The cottage was cute and very comfortable. It needs a little TLC, but all in all our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The people watching was fantastic, the shaded back deck very enjoyable on hot days, and the walk to the beach very close, so it was easy to get back and forth. Thank you for a great stay in RI.

Awesome location! Everything you need for a great beach experience
We very much enjoyed staying here. The giant Catalpa tree gave the best shade and the ocean breeze helped keep us cool. The cottage had plenty of room and the washer and dryer were so helpful. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and utensils. Air was very humid being so near the ocean so a/c was good addition. Would stay here again! Only issue was stickiness and musty here and there- really unavoidable near beaches.

Cute cottage, close to beach(walking distance)
Could have been cleaner and before I booked a stay at this cottage I would make sure the mold issue has been taken care of.
I would have given a 5 ⭐️'S if not for those two issues.

Great location, quiet neighborhood.
The yellow cottage on the corner was a perfect spot for beach lovers and people watchers! A short walk through a cooling path took us to the sand, and sitting on the front deck where the huge catalpa tree kept us cool was the perfect spot to watch families coming and going to the beach.
The appliances all worked well, plenty of hot water for all four of us, and the portable AC in the bedroom kept us comfortable each night. Beds were comfy, plenty of closet and dresser space and well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, glassware, etc.
Although the cottage is small, we had plenty of room to be comfortable: dining, sleeping and watching the very clear TV.
We enjoyed our stay and found plenty of good places to eat, shop and explore close by.

Wonderful family time at the beach!
Our family has rented Sue's house for 15 years. We have really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, come home for lunch and to walk the mile down the beach to Gallilee. The deck on the back is always shady and very comfortable. The biking is great from the house and the boys were able to surf at 3 or 4 spots easily. There are public tennis courts nearby. Scarborough beach is about a mile away and Narragansett is about five miles. Beach access is free after five pm. The house is walking distance to many restaurants and excellent fresh seafood is available in Gallilee. 1 Stanton is a wonderful location to enjoy the beach!

quaint cottage close to beach
We stayed for a week with our family, two parents and four young adults ranging in age from 15 to 20. The cottage is not big, but we were comfortable in the living room when we were just 'chilling'. The sleeping accommodations required we use the pull out couch.
The kitchen is tiny and can get quite warm but the stove/cooktop/microwave/fridge all work and allowed us to preparee breakfast/dinner on site. The back porch table was the only place large enough for the 6 of use to sit down for dinner and it's shaded by a wonderful tree so worked quite well for us - thankfully we had no rain. The table in the living room worked for 2 or 3 at breakfast, but would not hold all of us.
The internet worked well as did the LR TV. We made frequent use of the laundry facility, but we did have to take turns washing our dishes.
The closest beach is more suited to families with smaller kids (not many waves) but we tested out other beaches and found some of the more southern ones had 'big enough' waves for the older kids.
I liked being close enough to walk to the near beach for an early evening swim before bed, after most of the crowds had left the beach.
The cottage is on the corner of a pretty busy road, but we did not have any trouble with road noise after dark. There is also a lot of local foot traffic back/forth to the beach, all friendly.
The cottage is adequate but not elegant
