The outdoor space and views from the balcony. So peaceful and only 10min drive into Belamadena. Facilities within a 3 min drive .
Shower was not powerful, could be updated, kept tidy in certain areas outside.

There was loads to like - the hosts were amazing people. They facilitated an early check-in for us, visited often to make sure everything was ok, and dropped off some fruit from the trees growing out the back. The view is the most exceptional thing - you would have to fight to find something that good. It overlooked almost the entire bay and at night it was a real spectacle.
We went in the midst of a heatwave, so the air conditioning in every bedroom was a life-saver. The blackout external shutters were fantastic - I normally wake up 8am every day but I slept until 11 two days because the room was completely dark. The kitchen facilities were great, the bathrooms were good and the clothes washing facilities were perfect. We loved the main dining table right next to the living room window which overlooked the bay.
There was an abundance of furniture outside - loads of loungers and comfortable chairs. We moved a few of them around so that we could benefit from a larger area by the front door and we still had plenty left. There were two barbeques at different levels of the garden, one of which (by the pool) had a dedicated sink which was really useful. The terrace by the pool was amazing, and the pool was a good size.
Location was perfect for us but you will absolutely need a car. Thankfully, there's a double garage for parking. Its sort of tucked away from the main roads so it's quite private too.
We stayed for two weeks so it would have been great to see a pool attendant more often. The host kindly dropped chlorine in the pool every few days, but the base and sides of the pool got more and more dirty, so it's probably worth them increasing the attendant's schedule to keep it clean (in fairness, we used it a LOT, and we were covered in sunscreen, so this probably made it harder for the filter).
Water pressure was a bit of an issue for us; there is a shower but the water was barely enough to create a jet. This was the only real let down for us as there was no bath, so you had no option but to take a shower which took a long time because of the trickle of water.
Not the host's fault at all but there is a very steep approach to the property itself. The steps at the bottom are ok (albeit plenty of them) but the path from the bottom section to the top is a steep concrete path with no handrail. If you have any sort of physical ailment you'll likely want to find a more flat property.
Finally, a small note about the builders next door which were still around as of our stay in August 2022. They were definitely there during the weekdays and definitely noisy, which was a shame. They start work really early (6:30 some days), and had no issue using tools at this point. The top of the property they're building directly overlooks the pool - and that happened to be the area they were working when we were there, so privacy wasn't great sometimes. Not the worst thing for us but I know people more sensitive to this sort of thing.

Fantastic view and overall a nice house
Nice with aircon in all rooms
Nice to have both dishwasher and washing machine available
Nice with grill in the pool area
Good service from house owner
A bit “old” and worn furnitures
A bit dirty pool bottom
Was surprised about the long distance of 20 min walk to supermarket. A car is needed
No message or upfront warning about long term
renovation next door (noise from 8am-17pm all weekdays!)

The view is just breathtaking.Upon arrival we were made so welcome, The villa is so comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. There is a great taxi service available, and we were able to do day trips into Malaga and Fuengirola with ease. I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa if you want a quiet family retreat, cant wait to go back thank you for an amazing experience 😊
We loved everything

We had a fantastic stay at Villa La Tuna. Location is perfect, near our favourite place- Benalmadena Pueblo. Christabel the owner checked us in swiftly and showed us where everything was. We were only a couple staying there so only used one of the bedrooms but there is air-con in each bedroom which is great for the summer months and also in the living room. The property offers the most amazing views over the coast, pool was great and was cleaned whilst we were there and we spent some lovely evenings enjoying a bbq, looking out to sea. You'll need a car to stay here which was fine with us as we like to go out and explore but supermarkets, pubs and restaurants are nearby. We didn't need to contact the owner throughout our stay really as everything we could have needed was provided. Would highly recommend staying here and hopefully we'll be back again!
