This wonderful cabin was the perfect place to explore the Tasman Peninsula. The host was wonderful giving us ideas of places to visit. The best part was the beautiful view of the water from the deck and the bedroom. Slept with the window open, breeze and sound of waves. Thanks for sharing.

Nice clean property in front of water.

The house had everything that you would expect in a holiday house. Also had a lovely view and was very quiet. The only downside was my fault as I didn’t realize it was so far from shops and restaurants which meant no ducking out for a quick meal! If I had realized that I probably would have booked something closer to facilities.

Peaceful getaway
Sommers Bay is gorgeous. We booked this beach house when we saw the view from the deck. This modest house has everything needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay and was clean, warm, with well stocked kitchen draws. We’ll be booking again for a summer holiday.

Enjoyable stay
House was as advertised. Clean linens and plenty of room for 4 adults. It had everything we needed. Small amount of bench space for food storage and prep but we managed fine. Great community and access to east coast convict trail, beach with fishing jetty just over the road. Lovely people staying nearby loaned us kayaks which was a highlight, perfect spot for kayaks and fishing. I would recommend this property.

Super relaxing and convenient.
Sommers Bay Beach House is in a great location for sight seeing, peace and quiet and strolls along the beach. The view from the decking is lovely and is a great place for a read and for watching the wildlife. The house is super comfy and has everything you need. The local Roadhouse is a great resource and the locals are so friendly. Best of all we were able to take our four legged friend with us who made himself quite at home and was totally worn out after all the beach exercise. Thankyou for a great holiday.

Small and tidy waterfront shack.
Lovely peaceful location, small and tidy shack. Cleanliness of kitchen utensils and towels left a little to be desired, but would still recommend a stay in this lovely area.

So restful....
This property is ideal for a family, we had our Rotti girl with us she loved it except we needed to keep her leashed due to the wonderful wildlife... marvelous to see so many animals not fussed by people.. would stay again.

Comfortable House Near the Water
Small but well appointed, the house has good heating (it was cold outside while we were there).and there is a good well equipped kitchen and lounge and deck. The promised beach was far away but the small waterfront jetty opposite was good.

Great beach for a family getaway.
Great beach house for the family, very clean and has everything you need. Our children loved seeing the wallaby's and kangaroo's come up to the front lawn in the evening. Bed's were very comfortable and the shower had great pressure.

Beautiful!
The house and location were perfect! It was a nice surprise getting there and seeing a new couch (sooo comfy), tv and outdoor furniture that wasn't pictured in the photos. We wished we could stay longer. Will definitely be back in the warmer months. Thank you for a great stay :)

A lovely winter getaway
We spent two nights at the Sommers Bay Beach House, two adults, two kids, two dogs. It was clean, cosy, extremely well equipped in the kitchen, gorgeous views, great shower. What it may lack in "posh" it makes up for in spades in comfort. We'll be back soon!

Bright, comfy and well equipped beach cottage
We had a lovely 2 night stay at "Home and Away". It was just as described and had everything we needed for a very pleasant break. Michael was very quick to reply to queries and easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again. Thoroughly recommended.

Spacious, most friendly service
We love the balcony and the view. The house is spacious. Michael sent back our lost mobile to our later Motel in Rosetta, thank you so much.

Good Location
We had a relaxing stay, and the area is quiet & views are lovely. The property although clean was older & did not have the amenities that comes with the price of the facility based on only 2 people, when it needed to be based on more, which would reduce the cost, making it more affordable for what was on offer.

Great Tassie Shack
A lovely little house across from the jetty. A newly landscaped track to the jetty has been developed courtesy of the bushfire fund. We spent 3 days here swimming and playing cricket on the nearby Sommers Bay Beach during a rare Tasmanian heatwave. There is a boat available but no life jackets to my knowledge (maybe they were in the shed). Very clean and well kitted out. I have less pots and pans in my own house.

We absolutely loved this home away from home at Sommers Bay. The property was clean, warm and comfortable with that soothing lay-back shack kind of feel. The setting was very beautiful. I loved taking my cup of tea to the jetty each morning and watching our dog splash around in the holiday spirit. Michael was so kind and accommodating when we were negotiating dates of staying. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Great accommodation in a fantastic location. We had a wonderful Christmas at Sommers Bay complete with an impromptu Christmas Parade!! The beach house has everything that we required and very comfortable beds. We would have no hesitation in recommending this house to everyone. And thanks Michael for making the whole booking process very easy.
