Absolutely no question about it: we would stay here again and again and would recommend this property as a perfect location for seeing Sacramento. It's close to excellent restaurants, and there are some great walks around the East Sac neighborhoods. McKinley Park is only a 30-minute jaunt away. Cottage was very clean and very comfortable. We'll be back!

We stayed in Sacramento to visit my niece’s family. This was the perfect neighborhood. The house was as pictured and met our needs beautifully. About other reviews concerning the train. We could hear the train but it was not obtrusive or annoying. It by no means bothered us at all. Concerning the water pressure in the bathroom. It was a little low but perfectly adequate. No difficulty in taking a shower. Our only problem was that the house was a little cold and when I called the owner she responded immediately and corrected the problem. We prepared a Thanksgiving dinner there and found everything we needed to do that. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had a wonderful day. I would recommend this house and if the occasion arises to visit my niece again I would stay here again.

My peers and I booked this listing back in April. The listing was extremely well kept and spacious. However, I will not be booking this home again and quite frankly might not use Vrbo again for my hospitality needs. There was nothing wrong with the property, the issues I experienced were with the property owner. The owner of the property had ACCUSED me of stealing, destroying property and staining towels! I was constantly harassed by the owner to pay for “damages” TWO MONTHS AFTER THE STAY. I contacted Vrbo if there was a claim made by the property owner and was told that all her claims were dismissed due to LACK OF EVIDENCE!! The property was great but the owner is trying to scam you into paying extended fees! I will be pursuing legal action upon the owner for harassment and defamation.

Positives: The host was very responsive and helpful and the house was as listed with all the amenities we needed. In a cute neighborhood on a quiet street and a very nice backyard complete with lemon tree.
Negatives: I am tall and the shower head was very low and weak water pressure. The house is very near train tracks and the trains were blaring horns all night long (maybe this was just because it was a foggy weekend??) and the mattresses were pretty old so sleep was not the best.

Comfortable house in a walkable, quiet, safe neighborhood; comes with everything you need, including nice backyard. Owner very responsive. Only downside is that the shower needs an update.

Great East Sacramento home that was perfect for our 3 day stay while we had a construction project at our nearby house. Linda was very responsive and flexible with our questions and arrival/departure times. Reliable internet and very simple check-in and check-out process. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Sacramento area. Thank you!

This is a very pleasant small house in a quiet residential neighborhood of similar homes in east Sacramento. There is a small park and a medium sized food market within easy walking distance. We stayed there to run the California International Marathon, and it was easy to reach both the start and the finish from the house (by car). It is an easy drive to downtown Sacramento. There are quiet streets for walking/running and it is about 2 miles or less to McKinley Park. The house was well appointed and we especially appreciated the nice wine glasses. The yard looked very pleasant, but we were there in winter so could not fully partake of it. The house and neighborhood matched their descriptions and the owner was very helpful in answering questions and leaving clear instructions as to how to leave the property. A very pleasant stay.

Due to an unexpected extended stay at Sutter Memorial Hospital, I had to look for a house conveniently located near the hospital and this property was perfect for my visiting family from Seattle! The house was well-maintained and was well-stocked with necessities - beddings, kitchen and bath supplies. The owner is very understanding and professional as well - she replied promptly to inquiries and was understanding about late check-in. The only minor inconvenience was having 1 bathroom for 3 bedrooms but it was minor compared to the convenience of the location and the quality of the house. We also love their backyard, nice little garden perfect for meditation. In fact, my brother said this is the exact house they want to retire in ..only in Seattle :)

This is a great house on a great street, and my family absolutely loved staying here. Everything was cozy and comfortable, the linens were lovely, and all the details made this the perfect place for my family from out of town to stay for a week. My children loved staying at grandma and grandpa's "house" complete with a twin bed and trundle! I actually live on the same street, so we could not have asked for more convenience. The kitchen layout and dining room were great for family dinners (the table has a built in leaf extension), the living area was open and the backyard patio was perfect, complete with BBQ and lovely landscaping. My children enjoyed lots of treasure hunts with grandma there! Also, this home is steps away from a park with a wading pool, even more fun for the kids! If you are looking for a wonderful, inviting and great location to enjoy all that East Sac, Mid-Town and Downtown Sac have to offer, this is a great place! If you have family from out of town and don't want to deal with the hassles and prices of hotels (or your family staying with you) this is the perfect solution!

Home was everything we expected. Clean and well cared for. We especially enjoyed the private back yard with the fruit trees. Beds were comfortable and the living room was very spacious. One thing to be aware of is that the towels are in the dryer when you first get there. At first we thought we only had 3 towels for 5 people. We found the rest of the towels when we went to do laundry for the first time. Same thing with dishes, dishwasher was full of most of the cups and glassware. Over all a really great place and would recommend to anyone especially if you want to be close to East Sac and Mid Town.

We fully enjoyed this house, it is lovely. It's well equipped and the garden gives you a lot of extra space, weather permitting. Also it is in a real quiet neighborhood and shops, parks and restaurants are nearby. Moreover Sacramento is a perfect place to reach all highlights in California except maybe for the LA area.We stayed with two young children (4 and 1), had enough space and could make all the meals we would like to. Henschel Park is a 2 minute walk and perfect for the kids, but McKinley was their favorite, a short drive to H-street.The street is quiet, only the trains make some noise. The owner is very nice and will make sure you have a perfect stay. Some suggestions:- Sac Zoo, Fairy Tale Land and Funderland all near Sutterville Rd are perfect with young children.- Monster Mini Golf (Rancho Cordova, exit 21 on Highway 50)- Dad's Kitchen on Freeport Blvd, best burgers in town!!!- Chocolate Factory, 1039 2nd Street
