Nice property with friendly neighbours and handy corner shop. Convenient location for walking into town or going further afield by car. Only gripe - sofas very soft and difficult for older people to get out of! Comment - security light above front door not working.

We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed some family time together. The location is great and the Rising Sun Thai restaurant was really good.
We were having a family celebration and was just a bit disappointed that there weren’t 4 wine glasses in the kitchen. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Everything about the property was perfect! Location, cleanliness, the facilities and the information provided by the host. Be sure to check out the Rising Sun Restaurant next door too, one of the nicest Thai meals we’ve ever had!

Very nice stay in this hidden gem. Had everything we needed, clean and spacious. One word of caution if you have a big car the entrance is tight but you do have an allocated parking place right outside. Would stay again

Well situated bungalow, very clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Helpful and friendly neighbours. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area and lots to see and do. We were fortunate to have very good weather too.

the retreat is modern and very clean. its a little difficult to find. up a very small alleyway, but is quiet and comfortable. christchurch itself is nice but apart from a lovely ploughmans in thr thomas tripp pub the cafes and restaurants in the town didnt really have what we wanted. however there is a toby carvery nearby and i can thouroughly reccomend the carpenters arms on the edge of the new forest. the food is excellent and all fresh. also take a trip to tuckton.and see how the rich live. beautiful houses and boats. you can go by car bus or lovely little flat bottomed ferry.

Property although close to a busy road is actually at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Easy walk into Christchurch town centre or Mudeford and the quay/beach. Reasonably priced accomadation ideal for a young family.

We found the house to be very clean and great for a family with 2 young children. The fenced off garden was a bonus as our toddler couldn't escape! We had everything we needed.

This is the second time staying here and we love it. The location serves as a great base for seeing all the different things in that area of the world. The flat is comfortable and clean and the kids love crabbing in Mudeford. We will be back.

The property was clean, cosy and perfect for our long weekend break. It was a relaxing place to be when we returned from our days out, with modern amenities, excellent shower/bath and even a small garden for our pooch to enjoy. The hosts communication was great and she was lovely to talk with. I would definitely recommend and definitely use again if we are in that neck of the woods.

We had a pleasant stay. The beds were a little dusty on the frames and there were some hairs on the double sheet. There was a musty smell to the property which was a bit off putting but the kitchen was clean as was the bathroom.
Had everything we needed. Felt a little spied on with the ring doorbell

Lovely little house, well placed tucked away from the main thoroughfare. Pub/Chinese restaurant, fish and chip shop and a corner shop all within 50 yards of the property. Center of Christchurch is a 15 minute walk. Owners are quick to respond to any questions. We did find the hot water system was a bit temperamental, however we were informed that it was due for a service.

Lovely place to stay it was clean and had everything we needed for are getaway. very close to local leisure centre that had a nice place to walk the dog. Only 30 min walk to Mudeford and a 20-30 minute drive to Bournemouth. We had a great time and would be happy to stay again in this property.

Very good. Everything we needed was there. Parking was ok but we had two cars and the spaces were vacant but we parked one on the road. The house was lovely and Theresa seems to have everything so lovely in the home. We wanted for nothing and had a lovely stay.

The property is located within easy walking distance of Christchurch town centre and marshland walks (we came with a dog) and just a short drive from local beaches.
The house itself was clean, comfortable, well equipped and deceptively spacious and the neighbours were friendly.
We did have a minor maintenance issue but the owner sorted it within 24 hours. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning to this property if we were going back to the area.

not very clean when we arrived, dust, dirt and smears. over all property is dirty, needs a thorough clean and paint. fridge/ freezer extremely noisy, seem to be on their way out! no welcome pack, no toilet paper, no washing up liquid.
very convenient for us as very close to family, very convenient for the town and marshes and beach - providing you like to walk (we do) otherwise a very short drive and lottery to park! despite a pub next door, very quiet, lovely neighbours and convenience stores close by

We (husband, two children, dog and I) have just returned home from a fantastic stay at this property. It was easy to find, get ourselves in and settled and check-out again with no problems. The property is very homely, perfectly cleaned and maintained ready for our arrival. The beds were clean and comfortable and the enclosed outdoor space was perfect for us with children and dog to let out. The location was quiet with no disturbances, close to local amenities and a short distance (30 minute walk or 5minute drive) from the beautiful sandy beach and the quay. The neighbours are polite and friendly too! Would highly recommend and happily book this property again. Thank you!

Great location!
Was located just off a main road into Christchurch town centre. There's a Thai restaurant, a newsagent/convenience store and a kebab/pizza place around the opening into the 'close' where the house is. Just a 10 minute walk into town with the castle ruins as you get there and then plenty of places to eat and drink! We were there over the Jubilee weekend and the food festival was on in the town quay so was plenty to do and see there, too! Overall a nice long weekend away with my gfriend and our 5-year-old son :)

The retreat
Apart from the rather funky location behind a pub and convenience store this retreat provided a clean ,comfortable, quiet and accessible location to enable us to visit the New Forest and only 5 minutes from the beach!.

Pleasant base for a relaxing holiday
When we arrived we did have to sweep the floor as full of debris, assuming came under the door during winds.
The cottage itself was perfect, two lovely sized bedrooms, bedding was very clean as were the towels supplied. Nicely spaced bathroom (maybe the shower head could benefit from a descale, very little water coming out).
There is everything you could need in the kitchen and lounge area.
It is well situated if you want to go out and about, I had to drive (as my mother doesn't walk well), but to those that like a ramble there are some beautiful beaches nearby. Outside space is provided at the Cottage, but we didn't feel you could sit out, your based in a small snicket area, lovely and peaceful, however, vehicles coming and going during the day, they DO NOT make noise at night..
All in all it is a good little holiday base, clean, peaceful and cosy, everything supplied, just some little tlc required in the bathroom would make it perfect.
