About this house rental
This location is a family friendly property with almost an acre of river front enjoyment!
We have outdoor games such as ladder ball toss and corn hole. There is a large open part of the back yard for just general running around…maybe a favorite family game or just throwing a baseball or football back and forth. Directly behind the house we have giant boulders which qualify for “King of the Mountain” status for the young and young at heart!
Best of all is the river just below the outside dining patio. Just walk down a few steps and you can wade in the whitewater middle fork of the Kaweah River. At certain times of the year, you can watch rafters and kayakers float down past you.
We have a big variety of birds and it’s fun to watch their antics as they dart and fly through the trees along the beach. We always consider it good luck to see the great blue heron fishing from a boulder, or flying up or down the river. Deer and even bears walk through occasionally. (We have black bears here which are normally very timid; it’s a thrill to see them foraging for acorns and then lunging up a tree).
Gravel walkways surround the house and encourage you to enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular location from every angle. The rock gardens and giant boulders give you ample opportunity to just sit quietly and listen to nature and your own thoughts.
This privately-owned, single family home is 800 square feet. It sleeps six, with one full bathroom, two bedrooms—one king and one double—and a full size convertible sofa in the living room.
It also boasts a washer and dryer in the outside laundry room (if you have used up your beach towels or shorts!).
We have a newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter-tops and a dishwasher; it is stocked with all the necessities, including a coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster. There are some spices and spice blends to stir your creativity into making meals right in your own vacation home. In addition, there is a gas grill and a cover patio table for dining. There is also a fabulous rocking swing for two or three people to sit and watch the river go by!
The sunny dining nook offers a nest to enjoy your outside views. Its cheery coral color scheme will light up your meals and offer you a nice space to sip your beverage if you don’t feel like going outside.
Oak paneling and redwood shelving along with the lace curtains give the living room its friendly atmosphere. There is a flat-screen television which is compatible with your mobile devices, Netflix, and complimentary WiFi.
We are located walking distance to our famous Candy Store, the River View Restaurant and the Beef Jerky stand. The River View Restaurant does have live music on the weekends. You can walk over and watch them or just listen to the band from the back patio.

Perfect place to stay to visit the Sequoias and Kings canyon. Ice cream store right next door!!

I must start by saying when I booked this place I was solely going off location and reviews. The pictures listed did not do justice to this adorable place. It is located on the river, able to walk outside the door and watch the water rush by for hours. The interior is understably mature, but also full of character and beautiful design touches. It is on a sizeable plot of fully fenced land, with an access gate, mature trees and a view to die for. We are an adult family, including a couple from the East Coast. It was truly a trip to remember and we could all agree that this property was one of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in, which was the cherry on top of a perfect trip to the Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks. Book this place, you will not regret it.

Had an amazing weekend in Three Rivers. Son got married in the park. Absolutely stunning location for a wedding. Adult sons enjoyed spending time in the river. Close to park and close to great restaurants in Three Rivers. Beautiful patio with views for morning coffee.

We loved it here! Sheila was so responsive, and check-in was very easy. The property was just as described and so beautiful. Plenty of space on the deck to relax and room down at the river for 1 or 2 people to put their chairs in the water. We will definitely be back.

The house was great. The backyard has river access and my youngest daughter had a blast playing with the 1 inch long fish in the river. The location was perfect We felt safe and it was only a 12 min drive to the sequoia park entrance. We did not spend a ton of time at the house because we wanted to spend our time at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National forest. The time we did spend at the house was great. The beds were super comfortable and the backyard was huge. Our oldest daughter loved all the lizards there. Great family memories were made there.

Almost everything was perfect and the beds were simply perfect ! My only complaint is there was not an ounce of comfort in the living room . The location was amazing and the view was so amazing !

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and easy to get to the national parks.

We loved the river, running through the back of the property. Grandson loved playing down there. The house was very nice. The furniture in the living room was somewhat sparse, but I understand. The queen bed unfortunately, was so uncomfortable. My daughter couldn't sleep in it. Thank goodness for the sofa and the trundle bed. I loved everything about the house except the cleaning fee which was outrageous. For $180 a day cleaning fee they should have cleaned all the bugs out of the lighting fixtures. The remote control for the gate did not work. So it was a little bit of a hassle. Every time we went in and out. great location near the sequoias we would definitely love to stay here again.

We were here for a wedding.
We loved the home and property. My favorite was the sound of the river and the ability to go sit on the rocks to sip a drink and enjoy the views.
The house was cute, quaint, had all the necessities and was very welcoming. Property was well kept and clean. Walkable to a few places nearby and all other places were within a 1 minute drive.

a great area with an amazing quite and peacefully rest for us.

Comfortable and cute, right on the river! Being able to just walk out back and sip coffee in the morning while enjoying the river and the birds was awesome. Nicely appointed. Gated property was a nice plus. The only negative is that the restaurant immediately next door has live music for HOURS on Sunday evenings. Definitely recommended.
4.8
Great backyard setup and amenities for private family entertainment. The lack of cellular signal was not any issue with reliable wi-fi network.

Stress-free, relaxing vacation stay. River at the back was as described. House was clean and comfortable. Candy store next door was a plus.

Perfect location to visit the Sequioa National Park! Nice restaurants near by and quiet stay.
Communication with the manager was a bummer as they were out of town and the gate to let us out of the property went on the fritz… causing us not to be able to leave! Issue was solved and all was better again!

This house was a delightful oasis on a long trip. The place was super clean, full of delightful vintage touches, and very welcoming.
The kitchen was very clean, and they provided a brand new sponge *in the wrapper* for us to use! If you stay at many rental homes you’ve seen your share of gross kitchen sponges….
We were traveling with our teenage kids, so just one bathroom was a little rough, but we knew what we were getting into. The house is small, but the big yard and patio makes it feel like you have a lot more space. The house actually felt bigger than the pictures made it seem.
We were absolutely delighted by this stay, and highly recommend it!

Love our stay!! A dream for kids and adults!

This place is amazing! The backyard is connected to a lake! There is a backyard grill, firepit, and plenty of patio furniture to look at the raging lake behind the property. The house is fully furnished, has linens, soaps, cookware, pots, pans, plates, wine glasses, whiskey glasses, mugs, coffee, basic spices and oil. This place is wonderful for a weekend getaway. It also shares a common boundary with a chocolate/ice cream store on one side, and a bar & grill on the other.
The only small negative about the property is the smell inside. It smells old, and kind of like paint.

House located on the river as described. And had nice patio table where we enjoyed our wine and snacksbut butLocated off main road restaurant/bar that played music Sunday into the evening.
Bathroom location you had to walk around through kitchen to get to bathroom or through the master bedroom
Otherwise had a great time hikin in National Park

Great stay!
Great experience! Loved being close to candy store, etc. but also having space around you and plenty of privacy. Clean, well appointed home, close to Sequoia National Park entrance. River access and outdoor space a huge plus. Communication with property management was easy and prompt. We had a blast!

The house was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and perfect for exploring Sequoia National Park. Large and inviting outdoor area right on the river; we especially loved soaking in the river after spending the day at the park. Great communication with owner.
Would highly recommend!

The property was nice and well maintained. A little dated as the house is older. Air conditioning worked well and it was over 100 when we arrived. It had three bedrooms and was perfect for my family as we are accustom to cramming into one hotel room, but I would have liked another bathroom. The listing was accurate. The river behind the property was nice to visit, but as they stated in the property listing, the time of year we arrived (first week of August) the river was really low. Still, nice to listen to while having a cup of coffee - assuming you go at a time of year where it isn't so hot that you actually want to drink coffee and sit outside..
There is some wildlife around the property. We were surprised by a skunk that came through on two occasions which could have been problematic when we were using the washer and dryer (which is outside on the side of the house).
There is a restaurant / bar the next property down although a decent distance away. On two of our nights we could hear loud music pumping out of someone's car as well as people having a good time and hooting and hollering which kept my kids awake. For the most part though it was quiet and comfortable. The property is only about 10 - 11 minutes from the opening of Sequoia National Park, but don't think it is an easy drive to get to Kings Canyon. You are 2 hours away from Kings Canyon and at least an hour away from good things you are going to want to see at the top of Sequoia NP. My biggest problem - which has NOTHING to do with this property is that the roads driving to Sequoia and Kings Canyon are pretty curved and so it takes a long time to drive 20 miles and if you choose to go a little faster, it certainly makes the people in the car sick. Just make sure you have plenty of time to see what you want to see so you can take it slower.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage. Having the river in the backyard was so amazing. It is on a main road, but having the whole yard fenced was nice. There was road noise, but it wasn't too bad. The band at the restaurant next door was super loud on Sunday, we didn't love that. Overall, great stay and good location. Cute candy store next door, convenient to Sequoia National Forest. We would recommend this place for sure.

Wondeful property located just outside the entrance to Seqouia National Park. Whether hiking for the day or lounging in the river (aka your backyard), this property is the perfect destination for small families! The house has everything you need including walking distance or a short drive to local restaurants and market. Update on cell service: Verizon has full service in the area as of July 2021!

We loved how this property, while right on the main road, is hidden by an automatic wooden gate. It provided awesome privacy while still allowing us to be walking distance from the restaurant and store. Loved the access to the river also.

I met a girlfriend here for a weekend getaway. We are both pregnant and needed to relax and recharge. Sitting by the river was amazing. We picked up dinner from the restaurant next door and shopped a bit at the candy shop. It was the perfect place to escape to. Loved it, thank you!
