We stayed at this house for a month. Everything we needed was provided. The furnishings were lovely and comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. We like to walk and there were sidewalks and ponds to look at throughout the neighborhood. We chose the house for location to Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, and it was perfect. Only 15 minutes to each with lots of shopping and restaurants close by.
Gregg was a great host, easily accessible, and when a storm struck he reached out and offered assistance. Fortunately, no flooding affected the house or neighborhood and did not impact our stay. I would readily recommend this house for anyone visiting the Charleston area.

The quiet neighborhood and location were perfect for our stay. Close to Charleston, grocery stores, restaurants and Folly Beach. Small pond behind the house provided a nice setting and we enjoyed the baby geese that lived there.

Our host was very helpful.

A great place to stay if you want easy access to the Charleston area sites and Folly Beach. The house was wonderful, well furnished, and in a very nice neighborhood. The house was very clean and the kitchen has everything you will need. Gregg was always available for any questions.

Fall on James Island
Great home, clean and comfortably furnished. We spent a month at Sea Cotton, going back and forth to downtown Charleston, West Ashley, and back to JI. Really convenient to everything. Enjoyed evenings watching the sunset and shore birds on the beautiful pond. Would go again.

Great place to stay!
My husband and I chose this home because it was an easy drive to Charleston. We greatly enjoyed experiencing this beautiful city and all it had to offer but at the end of a busy day we appreciated coming home to a comfy home in a quiet neighborhood on St. James Island. Gregg was always available if we had any questions.

Perfect family getaway location.
It really is close and easy to get to the beach or to Charleston. The house is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood and it is nicely furnished and very clean. Folly beach county park is close and not too crowded. There are many nearby golf courses and restaurants and downtown Charleston has lots of shopping and interesting historical places. We only stayed 4 days, but will stay longer next time!

Fabulous Location w/ Everything We Needed
From extra beach towels and toys to cooking utensils, pots, and pans; we had everything we needed to make this stay wonderful. Second time staying at this property and we will be back! The beds were very comfortable and the place was really clean (including the screened back porch which was surprising bug free for summer in the south). Easy check in and clear instructions for property use during the stay.
We use VRBO's pretty often and this is definitely one we would recommend.
Thanks again!

Extension of home
We usually stay with family when coming to Charleston; however, we were able to bring all of our children on this visit to say goodbye to my father-in-law via sea. Our stay there was a comfortable extension of our second home. It was extremely convenient to everything, including the beach and everything in the home accommodated our family during our stay. . We would definitely stay there again.

It is was clean, quiet and conveniently located. Could be better equipped.
Overall ok. Need more mirrors and better lighting. Good cable options. Seating in living room was good. Need more kitchen equipment. Basics would be nice. Also, asking us to strip beds and start laundry wasn’t a big deal but never had to do this at any other site.

A Wedding trip to Charleston
The location and conditions of the home were great. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens and towels were provided which made traveling much easier.
The owner was easy to work with, when needed. Our family and guests were also pleased with the accommodations. What a great place to stay while enjoying our son's wedding celebration !

Comfortable and convenient
The house, located in a quiet neighborhood of single family homes and within easy driving distance of Charleston and Folly Beach, was the perfect home-away-from-home during a recent visit to James Is. For longer side trips, the house is well positioned (near Rt. 30) for easy access to major highways leading to Savannah and the Ashley R. plantations, for example. The house is clean and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. Although it was still too chilly to enjoy the screened-in porch, there is a lovely view of a pond attractive to birds and turtles. Off-street parking is available, always a plus...Gregg was a pleasure to work with; he responded immediately to e-mails, clearly explained his expectations of guests, provided valuable information about the area, and was available during our stay to address any issues that might arise. (Speaking of which - pay close attention to the e-mail that he sends just before your arrival. It contains vital information about how to turn off the burglar alarm when you first enter the house.) We especially appreciated his attaching Harris Teeter cards to the house key rings, so that we could take advantage of savings at the nearby grocery store. So, then, in my opinion, don't hesitate to rent this property.

Great location, comfortable, pleasant lodging.
We stayed a month in this home, which is well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen is well enough supplied for meal prep; there is a great screened porch overlooking the pond (we saw 15-20 turtles sunning on the bank daily,) and the DISH hopper system for TVs. The landlord is very accommodating, and wants to provide his tenants a good experience. Downtown C'ston is only 15 minutes, and Folly beach is a shorter drive. Great central location and lots of restaurants close by, too. We felt totally safe in this neighborhood, and will stay here again next time we come to Charleston.

Great stay
All around it was a great stay. Greg the home owner was super at helping us with everything we needed to enjoy the house. The house was in a great neighbor hood and close to everything we wanted to do doing our stay. The only draw back was the weather was very cold and it was hard for the heater to keep the house warm. Would stay here again on our next visit to Charleston.

Lovely, relaxing home.
This home is lovely and extremely well equipped. It is located in a very convenient neighborhood, close to both downtown and the beach. The furnishings have been chosen with style and comfort in mind and the entire home was very relaxing with many amenities. The pond in the backyard was actually very busy, with turtles, egrets etc. and so was fun to watch from the screened porch. We spent a lovely Christmas here and would definitely choose this home again we we return to Charleston.

Great location, very comfortable
Perfect house for our family! Everything was very clean and very "user-friendly." It felt like being home. The couch is amazing, so comfortable and room for all of us with room to spare!!

We enjoyed our stay on James Island. Close enough to get downtown and far enough away to get away from the crowds of downtown! This house was in great shape and we enjoyed our stay. I was not able to find a close by beach, but did enjoy the pond and watching the ducks and geese land and hang out at the pond. Gregg was easy to work with and we would recommend his place.

We enjoyed staying at Sea Cotton Cr. The property was as described, nicely appointed, and in a good location. Gregg was very attentive and easy to work with. We would stay again when in Charleston.

Our family of 5 stayed here while visiting Charlseton for vacation. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Like a home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. to make it easy for home-cooked meals when we wanted them. The screened in porch was a great place to have our morning coffee or just hang out. If you are looking for a comfy place to stay in a safe area, we recommend staying here.

This property is everything we hoped it would be and in this particular listing, the pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are much more spacious than they appear in the photos. The house is immaculate and it is situated in a mostly quiet neighborhood easily accessible to both the beach and the downtown Charleston area. We so appreciated the basket of Charleston 'happenings' brochures and menus! So helpful! For nature lovers this property doesn't disappoint with charming turtles and tiny frogs and lizards stopping by the backyard pond/patio area. (We did notice a few rather large bugs inside the house from time to time which may benefit from some boundary guidance...) Most importantly, at least during our visit, the central AC worked like a charm! We found Gregg (the owner) to be detailed in his communications and most importantly honest! We hope to visit this property again!

We found Sea Cotton Comfort to be welcoming and perfect for someone who needs a two or three bedroom place for their vacation. The house was clean and comfortable. The screened porch provided a wonderful setting for morning coffee. Great location and nice neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed this property while visiting family for our cousin's HS graduation. The house was clean and felt like home. The house had a lot of references for local restaurants/things to do in Charleston, which was appreciated. Mr. Napier was very nice to work with and personable during the whole experience. We would definitely stay here again.

We did not get to tour some of the places we wanted, nor did we get to the beach due to the tropical storm. On a positive side, we spent a quiet, cozy few hours watching a movie. It was a blessing in disguise. With adult children, uninterrupted time is always at a premium so.....thank you for the rain Greg. You knew just what we needed. I chose this house because it had a beautiful, welcoming look. Little did I know it also was convenient to the wedding we were attending. I like that it is close to beach without being in the middle of the chaos of being on the beach. The screened porch overlooking the pond was a perfect spot for my son to finally be able to take a few hours from his crazy hectic summer to read a book.
If I could change anything, I would make 8 hours away instead of 10 or more. Greg- thank you for making us feel at home. Hmmm, I wonder when we can arrange another trip? We will definitely stay in this house again.

WHEN WE DROVE UPTO THE RENTAL WE WERE PLESENTLY SURPRISED HOW WELL THE OVER ALL APPEARANCE OF THE OUTSIDE LOOKED EVEN THOUGH A PICTURE WAS PROVIDED. WHEN WE ENTERED THE HOUSE WE WERE TREATED TO A WELL KEPT, WELL FURNISHED RENTAL THAT WE COULD EASILY CALL HOME.
OUR STAY FOR THE GRADUATION OF OUR GRANDSON FROM THE CITADEL WAS A HECTIC 3 OR 4 DAYS BUT BECAUSE WE HAD A NICE PLACE TO COME TO RELAX IN BETWEEN, OUR COMING AND GOING TO THE DIFFERENT EVENTS, MEANT A LOT TO US.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT ALL POSSIBLE. WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO OUR FRIENDS OR RELATIVES.
WE USED TO LIVE IN SUMMERVILLE SC WHEN I WORKED FOR CSX RAILROAD AND WERE FAMILIER WITH THE CHARLESTON AREA, ALSO OUR SON LIVES ON JAMES ISLAND WHICH WAS A BIG PLUS.
THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING OUR STAY A NICE ONE.
