Very nice hotel and rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The restaurant: service was spotty and only one of the four of us actually got what we ordered. And we speak Spanish…

I liked the room - it was really comfortable. The location was excellent - very close to the centre. Breakfast was really good, and the staff were so helpful and friendly.
Well, the pool could have been a bit bigger, but it is what it is! At least, there was a pool, and it wasn't crowded when I went to swim.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved the location because we were able to walk to the Centro Historico easily during the day. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants. We visited this juicing place a few meters away in front of the hotel. We also got to try the food in La Chata and the service was great. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet for a very affordable price with a delicious variety. The service was excellent and everyone is so helpful. They also have a shuttle service and are able to book you a tour to the different places around Guadalajara (Tlaquepaque, Tequila, and Chapala).
Loved everything about it. I wish I could have stayed longer.

the bathrooms need to be updated

The bell men who worked in the front were very friendly and helped us to gather our luggage as necessary and cabs as needed. The location was excellent. The walk to various historical sites was short.
We stayed in two rooms. The first room was considered a suite however, the furnishing were outdated and looked cheap. We had to let the water in the bathrooms run for 20 minutes before it got warm enough to shower in.
The second room that we moved to was smaller and much more updated but it lacked sufficient drawer and counter space in the restroom. For a five night stay, it was frustrating to not be able to have our toiletries out.
The girls who worked at the front reception desk were unfriendly and unhelpful. They talked amongst each other as we approached them and we’re not well trained.

The building is beautiful, however coming from European 4 star hotels this doesn't really meet a 4 star expectation. It feels a little old and lost in time. Feels more like 3 star.
Bathrooms had been modernised which was great. Bedrooms weren't. House keeping staff were 10 out of 10.
It was unclear that breakfast was only a buffet Thursday to Sunday, so when we had breakfast Wednesday morning the bread was old and not very tasty,

Everything was perfect.
4.5 / 5.0
Location at the heart of downtown Guadalajara, that made it easier to move to other parts of town by uber or simply walking to beautiful places in the area.
We didn't have, in walking distance, any fabulous restaurants... we had the standard, which were good, but nothing compared to the ones you find in other areas... although I have to say walking distance would be a stretch !!!!
