Clean bedding and room
Impossible to connect to WiFi. Room slightly chilly but not uncomfortable

location was useful
the bathroom flooded everytime we had a shower.

Location very close to the cruise terminal from which we were departing.
Room slightly larger than previous IBIS Hotels where we have stayed. Generally, rooms in IBIS hotels are quite small.
Small bathroom, with half-bath and shower, but the shower was good, with plenty of hot water and powerful (most hotel showers are terribly weak and feeble).
Breakfast was adequate, with a reasonable selection of hot and cold food. The organisation of it was somewhat chaotic, though (see below).
We could not check into the room until after 3 p.m. (15:00 hours), which was rather inconvenient. Our luggage was stored for us, which was a help, but we had to wander around for several hours to use up the intervening time. We were tired after travelling, so this was not good.
No lactose-free milk, despite mentioning this as a dietary requirement three months previously, when the reservation / booking was made. The situation was rectified by a member of staff quickly going to a sister hotel nearby and returning with what the chef there said was lactose-free milk. Not entirely true, since soya, coconut and almond substitutes all contain elements of lactose, but at least the effort was made.
Breakfast was rather frenetic. Despite the period for breakfast being generous (7 to 11 a.m. at weekends, when we stayed), of course guests are not going to drift in and out at conveniently regular intervals. They always decide to arrive simultaneously, usually in the 30 minutes after 9 a.m. In this case, the sudden influx caused consternation for the staff, who were a little overwhelmed by everything disappearing at once and several guests all demanding different things at the same time. At one point, a member of staff was reduced to clearing plates from the tables while guests were still seated there (not a bad thing in itself, provided the guests have finished eating), simply to obtain more plates because the stack of fresh plates for the hot food (for example) was repeatedly being exhausted.
Our room cards failed to call the elevator (a necessary dual function) on more than one occasion (and we were only staying one night in the hotel), so we had to get the cards re-checked or re-logged at reception. It is not a good idea to have the room cards activating other services or facilities as well. In my experience, the room cards are frequently barely able to cope with accessing one’s bedroom or opening the door, never mind anything else.

Chosen for the location, just minutes walk away from the Horizon cruise terminal in Southampton.
Everything was spot on.
Nothing stands out at all, oh...if been picky then having only one lift causes queues when busy and everyone has lots of luggage.
3.8
Pleasant staff; always important requirement. Left luggage seemed to be well looked after. Location just right for us. We made an excellent choice to stay with you.
3.8
Very central to where we wanted to be ,city and docks
Lack of choice on the cooked breakfast, but they did looked under staffed

le confort de la chambre, et l'accueil.

Close to port for cruise ship voyage, ideal for just one night stay prior to bording. Parking available and food on site if required though not an exstensive menu.
Nothing ideal for our requirements having stayed before

Good value one night stay for what was needed. A cruise holiday. Ideal for parking.
Nothing. You get what you pay for.

Comfortable room at a good rpice without being fancy. Restaurant and bar on site was busy and friendly , although I didn't use it.
Nothing - is what it says on the tin!

Location
Rude staff, bed sheets dirty, wallpaper coming of the wall, rooms so cold
Asked at reception if they could order a taxi was told they are far too busy for that!!

The bar area felt like a train station cafe… not very welcoming and not a great place to relax ..

Nothing
The air conditioning unit was so loud all night we never got any sleep . It wasn’t even on . It was like someone drilling on and off . When we handed our room key in the receptionist was so rude making a mockery of our dreadful night sleep . Will definitely not be staying there again .

Ok but coffee was off, bread did not appear for some time, lack of bacon!!!
Close to local facilities

Great location for price and £10 for 24 hour parking
Dated, woken up by fire alarm at 6:30am, could hear other hotel guests having sex in room

The staff were nice and did help us as much as they could due to Booking.com's uselessness.
Basically because of Booking.com OVERBOOKING people we couldn't actually stay at the Ibis as intended. We turned up on 7th March to find out they had no rooms left despite us having a booking and we'd be paying at the hotel. We were turned away and had to find alternative accommodation at very short notice in the Ibis Budget. We cannot fault the actual employees who were regretful but the whole debacle was BOOKING.COM's fault for perpetuating that rooms were available when they weren't. We will not use Booking.com again.

Within walking distance of the train station
Within walking distance of the cruise terminal
Amazing to open the curtains and see that my ship had come in!
Clean room
Super friendly staff
Excellent fast check in and check out
Comfortable bed and pillows
Clean fresh bathroom
The choice of food was limited.
The quality of food was average.
The room was very hot.
Lacked practical storage space
Lacked coat hangers on the hanging rail
The main entrance doors getting stuck and unable to enter the building. Thankfully the staff noticed and let me in through a side door!

The hotel is very comfortable and clean, we had a great experience and it was very good value for money
Nothing to comment on

Great location. Friendly staff. Small but clean room with everything I needed. Fantastic view of a cruise ship from my window. Good price for parking
Only criticism is towels were quite hard and thin but other than that, nothing else

The hotel is very close to city

Great Location & Staff Excellent.
The bathroom flooded. When the shower was on, the whole bathroom floor got soaked, with the water unable to escape. Three towels had to be used.
Didn’t ruin stay, but there’s an issue somewhere which needs looking into.

Good location with large car park
Breakfast was a overcooked and greasy.

The location. Staff helpful and friendly
The taxi scam. There are many signs at reception offering to book a taxi for you, but what they don’t tell you is that it is a fixed price ( eg to the ocean terminal) I.e. it is not metered - and so is double the price. I wouldn’t necessarily have minded this, if only they had this clear. As this is not clear, it feels like a scam.

Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was very good and good value. Very convenient location. Good cruise parking.
The room was very small and had basic fixtures. We chose it instead of the adjacent “Ibis Budget Hotel” as we thought it would be a bit nicer but it is hard to understand what makes the other hotel more “basic”.

The staff is great!
Room was hot, the ventilation was not the best, the bed was awful
3.8

Speedy check in
I specifically asked on my booking for a shower as I cannot get over the sides of a bath due to 2 knee and 1 hip replacement. Also the bracket on the shower was broken and has been for awhile! Obviously the cleaners haven’t said anything!!!!
I was transferred over to the Novotel as the Ibis wasn’t able to accommodate my request.
Also the rooms are well past their sell by date in decor!!!
