Evening meals fantastic.
Pack lunch for our safaris were also good
Log fire in the evening and board games 🎲 were special and gave it a primal feel.
No mosquitos.
Staff attentive and always left with a "karibou" and a smile.
Paid for my stay well in advance and on the second night the manager wanted to see my proof of payment whuch I gave. But affected the karma of the rest of the stay for me.

Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely home cooked food. A great location with beautiful views and comfortable tented lodges.

The location is great. It's very close to the Ngorongoro Crater and Manyara National Park. Ataff were also very friendly and helpful. .
The grounds are poorly maintained. Weeds, old tents. The place looked like a very shabby and run-down version of the pictures. I would not recommend this place for guests with high expectations.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Food was good. Accommodation was clean & comfortable, hot water and power 24/7, and wifi in reception area. Nice safe & quiet location right next to main route to/from Ngorongoro from Arusha.
Bed a little firm but that's just a personal preference. Certainly not a deal breaker!

the rooms were clean and staff was friendly
The place does not have a sign boards and the gate looks terrible. first impression was not good and the place look dilapidated with no maintenance. swimming pool was empty and everything around the pool did not look like the photos.
dinner was not great and food was tough.
i will not recommend this place for what you are getting and what you have to pay

Good location for Ngorongoro when everything nearer the crater was fully booked. Staff were friendly. Evening buffet had some good choices.
On arrival just given a double bed for 2 adults and 2 children despite having booked extra bed. This was rectified later. No tonic available for gin and tonic from bar. Pool very dirty, full of scum and bugs - a health hazard and disappointing and we’d booked as we have children who wanted to go swimming. Nobody used it. Towels were not changed. Bed had duvet without cover and just a sheet.

The staff was very attentive and super friendly. The food, too, was above expectations.
The dining room was very cold (in July), but much better when the fire place was on.

I'm sorry but our stay in Karatu Tented Lodge did not met our expectations. It was very dissapointing.
We stayed here for 4 nights.
Especially the food was disappointing and below hygiene standard. This is unsafe. After the dinner I got very sick and threw up several times.
Also the next day this was the case. We had to cut our tour to the Hadzabe tribe and Datoga tribe by half a day so I was back in the lodge to rest. The rest of the eating times I mostly ate rice and cucumber to calm down my stomach.
My friend did continue to eat the menu and got sick after the dinner a day later.(also throwing up and bad stomach) We only ate the food provided by the lodge. Our health and safety is important to us and the lodge did not provide that. We did not get any reaction about our complaints and that is also no good service.
The food. It made us sick.

Lovely resort with a great tent. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Conveniently located between Ngororo/Serengeti on one side and Lake Manyara/Arusha on the other.
Pool was under maintainance, that can be a risk in general when traveling in low season so no big deal for us.

Beautiful and peaceful place. The room/tent was comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly.
Due to a powercut it wasn’t possible to take a hot shower. This lasted for a day. The staff turned on the generator, so that the other electricity could be used. A fine solution.

Had food poisoning. Needed to be airliefted to Dar es Salaam for treatment. Reached out to the property and they simply not taking any responsibility. I don't write bad review and this is the first in many years.

It was a convenient stopover to Ngorongoro crater. It was nice and clean and had a beautiful view of the valley.
The google pin was wrong and took us to the wrong location. There was no sign boards. The staff was not informed (e.g. re COVID test, game drive options) and not particularly helpful.

After safari we stayed for two nights and it was just what we needed to recover. Friendly staff, good food, clean and nice room! Would recommend anyone to stay here.
