Cabin is in the woods right on the water. The water is a channel/cut through between 2 lakes where boats frequently cross. You can catch small fish off the dock. The water has lily pads and is beautiful, but it's best to canoe a short way to the lakes to swim or you can swim near check in. (Shoreline is muck so can't wade in). No phone service at the cabin, which actually is a blessing if you want to not stare at screens for a change. No lock on the door, so bring a padlock if you want to lock it when you leave. We loved the screened-in porch. Beautiful view of a mountain and stars at night. Very peaceful, rustic setting. Grocery store close by in Saranac lake. We drove to and hiked Whiteface Mtn and Esther. Lots of high peaks in the area to choose from if you're aiming to be a 46-er. We also drove to Lake Placid to walk around and get delicious ice cream from Emma's. Marjorie was very nice and helpful. We brought our dog and he had a fabulous time too! Property is very dog-friendly.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Wow. Nights are SO quiet! Truly a sweet rustic cabin in a beautiful place.

It has been a long time since we've experienced such deep stillness punctuated by the occasional loon, great blue heron, or American black ducks. The cabin was roomy and furnishings sufficient. Hosts were gracious and accommodating. A beautiful spot to cast a line, paddle a canoe, read a book, or just sit and gaze.

This rustic cabin is picturesque and takes you back in time. A very relaxing and private place with plenty of room and trees between cabins. Prime location for hiking and canoeing. Will defiantly book again. Owners were very attentive and quickly responded to our questions.

Week at the cabin
Bath room was rather small four adult men there was enough room the porch was nice I fixed where the screen had pulled away from the side of the cabin the dock was sturdy the deck had a picnic table that we used and had no bugs
We ran out of propane and Marjorie hooked us up right away
We had a nice relaxing time

This was a nice little place, however do not be fooled! We had looked for somewhere that was pet friendly so that we could bring our dog with us. We did receive any information about the “pet policy” untill we arrived. If you decided to bring your pet you are expected to bring them everywhere with you! And if you leave them unattended (even if they are a safe a secure in their crate) you will be told to leave the property as well as forfit all payments! We ended up having to put our dog in a kennel for the three nights while we were there. Not to mention the cabins are extremely overpriced at $1000 for three nights!!! I would say we had a great time because we made the most of our trip because we had no choice, but I would highly recommend not staying here.

Very Nice property
What a nice cabin and Marjorie is so sweet. The cabin was nice and clean. Nothing fancy but we didn't need fancy. The screened in porch was very nice to keep all the mosquitoes and black flies away. The living room area is spacious and very relaxing. The bedrooms are small but we just needed a place to sleep. The dock looked brand new and was very nice. The parking lot is a bit cramped so that's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. Most people have larger SUV's nowadays and it was hard to squeeze 3 vehicles in that spot. In order to load our boats we had to back into the road to load them. I would highly recommend this cabin and we plan on visiting it again in the future.
