The accommodation was great, the staff were super friendly and we had a very relaxing holiday.
5.0
The staff could not have been more friendly and accomoditing. its out of town which is what we wanted. Restaurant on site excellent food . 5 min walk to 4 different restaurants and small supermarket. Another 3 mins and 2 more restaurants, so lots of choices for a week stay. Reef at your front door .
There snorkeling gear needs updating. ( luckily took own mask and snorkel)

Lovely room in the villa, with excellent dreamy layout & style
A bit pricey; The pool was murky & the beach isn’t the nicest around late afternoon
4.5
Clean, spacious, modern, appropriate, superb wifi, comfortable, great view, top notch kitchen
Nothing major at all
3.5
Large space, kitchen and laundry. Friendly staff and a great pool and reef to explore.
Shower takes 5mins for water to get hot for any decent pressure. Bed was okay but not great. Main downfall, being on ground level people using communal pool can see in. So blinds are permanently down. Glass needs to be one way so room could be enjoyed. What’s the point of a bathtub looking out a window over the ocean if the blinds have to be down. Killed many a small cockroach too.

The staff were amazing, the food was great. The room itself was very cozy and comfortable.
A bit pricey

Beautiful and cozy place

Great snorkeling right in front of the hotel
Nothing.

The view of the sea/pool was amazing and the rooms were so beautiful. There were lots of activities to do here like snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, massage and traditional Fiji night. Staff were lovely and accommodating.
The rooms could have been a bit cleaner and we didn’t get to use to rooftop spa as it was apparently closed. Food at the resort was expensive but there were restaurants across the road that were cheaper and yummy.

It was very authentic, we stayed in one of the villas. Clean and tidy, great atmosphere. The entire resort is beautiful 😍

The staff were fantastic. They made us feel like part of their extended family. They all learnt both of our names and happily used them in their day to day interactions. Special mention to Andi, Liti, Tiger and Felix who were amazing.
Water Pressure in bathroom. There was an amazing bath in our Villa, but as it filled up so slowly the water was tepid before any volume was achieved...gave up. Also as the bath was man made - the plug didn't seal properly.

Everything was wonderful.
Nothing, it is perfect.

Small and friendly. Good food selection each meal time.nothing too much trouble. When you ordered food you could eat in restaurant, have by the pool/beach or at your villa. Great little supermarket /Italian restaurant and diner a short walk from hotel if you fancied something different.. kayaking and snorkelling just outside your villa.
It was our choice to be at a quiet villa so not really a dislike...but.nadi and suva were quite a distance ..we didn't mind but some guests wished they had hired a car.

excellent location, great facilities! love the design and interior of the hotel
breakfast needs more varieties

Spacious room and big Comfy bed
Not much we didn't like however the definition of garden may need a review- we had a great view of the roof across the driveway and the restaurant below when sitting on the balcony

The staff were absolutely amazing, knew our names and were great to chat to. Our room (we stayed at the new extension) was very comfortable, classy and the infinity pool was stunning. We loved snorkelling just a few metres away from the hotel. Spectacular surrounding area - we visited Kula Adventure Park and Biausevu Waterfall. The food and drinks were delicious. There were only adults staying at Maui Palms while we were there
It would have been nice if our door had a room number on it, but no biggie.

The staff made it all so pleasant. The location is your veritable tropical paradise! Andi, Neil, Tiger, Felix, Leti and Susannah were always friendly and smiling and personable. The facilities are top notch and the service delightful. It's just a great place to relax. The food was excellent, our compliments to chef Ben! Service was available anywhere, the pools, the beach, the restaurant or your room.

Its clean and staff are very friendly and you can do a lot at their beach front, like kayak, paddle board, snorkel.
It's so dark at night. Would've been better if they would put lights on the shore or atleast the trees along the pathway to the villas.

An exceptionally positioned and accommodating boutique resort, that indefatigably caters to its guests, on an equal scale to its larger competitors. Unerringly gracious, attentive and personable staff. Rooms are modern, immaculate, impressively furnished and well equipped. Resort boasts all the facilities one would expect, to ensure a relaxing or activity filled South Pacific holiday.
Limited dining options available, of a rather mediocre appeal. In close proximity to the resort, there is a pizzeria, a cafe, a bar, and burger joint, NONE of which I would recommend dining at either. I would recommend self catering, amply provisioning yourself at one of the few decent supermarkets or liquor retailers (True Mart for example), and tending to your own needs/requirements.

friendly staff, free use of snorkel gear, lovely pools and beach, close to gas station, super market and restaurant

The staff were amazing. Unfortunately I got extremely sick from food poisoning (not from the hotel) and required immediate medical attention. The staff went above and beyond to organise an amazing doctor to come back to their practice after hours to treat me! The staff also delivered me iced drinks and other bits and pieces to try and make me feel better for the coming days. The facilities are great in a beautiful setting, and the food is extremely reasonably priced considering the size of the portions.

the location next to the Beach was very nice, the staff is very friendly, and we loved the food (breakfast and dinner). we got an upgrade. The room was very clean. The pool area was awesome.
we had a non-smoking room but one of the former guests must have smoked in the room (I know this is not the fault of the hotel). The staff nevertheless took care after our complain and sent us a spray that it doesn’t smell that bad anymore.
4.5
All the staff were amazing. The location is a little secluded but on the best part of the coral coast for a snorkel/water activities! With the reef 50m from our villa it was amazing! Participated in the traditional Fijian Kava night as well which we loved.
Food options limited and a bit expensive but the Fijian food was delicious! There is a local cafe/pizza restaurant across the road that was worth trying for something different. They also had live music on Saturday nights!

Lovely, peaceful place with wonderful friendly staff
Might have been nice if a few more restuarants were nearby.

The snorkeling off the beach is excellent and love the small resort feel. Beach is not busy at all and everyone gets lots of space. Staff is friendly and helpful and room was accurately described.
Trying to contact property prior arrival to ensure extra bed is set up in the room was impossible (emailed, called, and via Booking.com customer service and received no response), and they still did not know we paid for extra bed in our booking, they were able to set it up when we arrive but it was a little frustrating that we couldn't confirm prior arrival. There's no way to communicate to the staff in the new apartment building- have to walk over to the restaurant to request in person each time. If they don't want to invest in phones in each room, ability to connect through apps like WhatsApp would be helpful!

This stay was so wonderful; I have never encountered a staff that was so nice and accommodating! The room was perfect and we had an amazing beachfront view and access to the pool right out our door. The AC worked wonderfully and the bed was soooo comfy. There was a mini fridge in the room so we were able to keep our beverages nice and cold. We opted for Full Board and were really happy with the food choices, it was even more amazing that we were brought all our meals to our room so we could eat on our porch. Wifi was strong and free...
Snorkeling and kayaking are free of charge and you can even get free instruction or a reef walk with their guide.
We had a really late flight out on the day we were to depart, we asked for a late check out but our room was booked. So the manager offered to put us in the penthouse suite for our last night and we could leave late afternoon. The penthouse was AMAZING!! We couldn't believe we got this upgrade free of charge! They really care about their guests and it shows in very unexpected surprises.

Friendly staff, safe location, clean & modern. I would highly recommend Maui Palms to anyone that's looking for a place to stay in the Maui Bay area. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Fiji.

We stayed back in August at Maui Palms for just over a week. The staff were the best thing about the whole stay, very hospitable, cleaned our room daily, came to our room to take dinner orders. My partner and I got extremely sick from some chicken pizza (from the Tipsy Italian up the road - DO NOT RECOMMEND), Maui Palms staff really looked after us when we were stuck in bed. Highly recommend doing some snorkelling if you stay at Maui Palms too while the tide is high. Other than the snorkelling, swimming in pool there isn’t too much to do at Maui Palms so recommend if you’re just going to read, enjoy some quiet as nice small resort to do that!
Would have been good if there was a Google Crome cast or something similar while we were stuck in bed sick during our stay. TV in room doesn’t have any Chanels, only access to small DVD options. Surely wouldn’t be much for the resort to invest in some crome casts. Was not many activities to do at the resort apart from the pool and snorkelling. We had never been to fiji before and didn’t realise how far away Maui Palms was from town. As a younger couple I think if we went to fiji again we would go to a bigger resort with more people and more to do but Maui Palms is perfect if you are not planning on doing much.
Resort food also a little expensive but we found that anywhere we went in fiji food was expensive.

We loved absolutely everything about Maui Palms. The resort is beautiful, clean, right by the beach and so much effort and thought was put into the decoration and furnishings. The pools are gorgeous and the infinity pool is one of the nicest I've seen. Extra points that it is an eco friendly pool cleaned with natural components, free of chlorine. Our highlight was certainly the incredibly comfortable bed and what we called "the egg" lounging bed by the pool. Another big plus are the solid fire doors used for the rooms and double glazed windows and balcony doors. This keeps the room nice and cool even without the air-conditioning running and the noise to a minimum. Also the fact that the restaurant has a full page of vegetarian options is great. The eggplant parmigiana is incredible!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful and makes you feel so welcome. Big shout out to Andy who goes above and beyond to make you feel special and Joe and his crew for the great entertainment.
The location is right by the coral beach and there is great snorkeling in high tide. The resort also offers free use of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. If we ever make it back to Fiji I'd definitely stay at Maui Palms again.

Incredible staff who went above and beyond for us. Special shout-out to Adi and Neil who really made us feel at home. The owner was awesome and helped us organise all the activities we wanted to do. Excellent location, stunning views and the property was lovely. We hope to be back at Maui Palms soon!!
