One of the best locations to stay in Edinburgh.

Beautiful rooms, amazing and helpful staff. You have a pillow menu and can ask for a mini fridge for the room to keep snacks and milk cold. Across the street from the bus station and not far for the train. Beautiful views just an amazing place to stay.

The stairs, but staff offered to help carry my mother’s bags and I kind of enjoyed the extra exercise.

Lovely hotel, immaculately clean

Lovely hotel in a good location, immaculately clean, staff very nice and friendly, bar nice too. Room nicely decorated with tea, coffee, teacakes, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand cream, ear plugs, night eye masks, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and cooling fan. Staff offered to take luggage to the room. Great black out curtains. Great shower.

Room was too hot in Feb but a cooling fan was provided which was great. We were on the 1st floor so stairs not a problem, but wouldn't have liked a 2nd floor room.

A lot of money for what you get

Location was great and staff were lovely

Too many stairs, second floor rooms were extremely hot, no information in rooms even though you’re told on your welcome letter and their website to check your in room information, no clean towels in three days - yeah we should have left them on the floor apparently but at $600 AUD a night it would be nice for them to pay attention to this sort of detail.

Wonderful！

The hotel had a good location and was clean. The equipment was all necessary. The staff are cheerful and kind.

I couldn't figure out how to use the bedside lamp.

Great value stay, with all of the home comforts needed, in a great location for seeing Edinburgh.

A very comfortable room with everything we needed for our stay. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, making it a pleasant experience. I’d definitely recommend this stay for the location and value for money!

The water pressure in the shower could have been better (due to a leaky shower head) but this didn’t take away from the overall experience, and having the waterfall shower as well was great.

We feel at home in this hotel and we will be back!

Friendly, welcoming staff who are always helpful. Clean, comfortable rooms with excellent bathroom. Lovely toiletries in bathroom. Little extras like chocolate biscuits with tea & coffee and a welcome note as we were returning to the hotel, having previously stayed there. Good continental breakfast if required.

The only downside would be if you have difficulty with stairs as there isn’t a lift.

Stay was great, very central and our room was large and very clean.

Room was spacious and v clean and shower was great

Lack of a lift (however we were aware beforehand). Staff could have engaged more..Room was super hot even with no radiators on and windows open (perhaps a positive for other guests though)

Great for the weekend

Central location, modern rooms with ensuite bathroom and a huge bed. Very clean with nice amenities (toiletries, tea & coffee etc).

A few small things like the toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall and clearly been taped up, and the walls between rooms are a bit thin. No deal breakers, just little things.

Very good

The room was clean and had two lovely candy bars with the tea service. The bathroom was nice; there was a two-headed shower and a bathtub, and the soap smelled amazing. The water was nice and hot and there was a heated towel rack. Waverley train station is only about a 5-minute walk away.

Although the location is convenient to shopping and to the train station, it is at a busy intersection and there's a lot of road noise, so if you want to get to sleep early it might not be easy to do so. Also the trams run by on the street right outside and they start before 6 in the morning.
