Bad facilities and poor value for money

The coffee machine was good but it would be helpful to have a kettle also as the water tank kept having to be filled up. The dining area and seating area were comfortable. It was good to have a sink in the room.

This was the only place we stayed in out of 7 in Iceland that didn't send check-in information before we arrived. I wasn't sure what the check-in process was so I emailed them on Booking.com in the morning but there was no response, so I called them and then they said there's a reception desk. They really should just send this information to people in advance. The room was extremely cold, the window was wide open which we then realised was to try and cover the extremely strong smell of mustiness, which got stronger the longer we were there as we had to keep the window closed because the radiator was so weak and it was cold. The kitchen was tiny, ridiculous given the number of rooms, and it was completely taken over by a Spanish guy cooking for a group of people and an Asian woman cooking for a huge group. Luckily we had brought microwavable food that we were able to heat up. in a microwave outside the cooking area. There were far too few bathrooms and toilets for so many rooms and there seemed to be a system going on among the French group in the rooms next to us because as soon as one was finished in the bathroom the next person went in. We frequently had to walk to the other end of the building to shower or use the toilet and in that far bathroom there was a big sign saying not to leave water on the floor but there was no mop to prevent water staying on the floor. This was the worst place we stayed in on our trip and ridiculously overpriced given the poor facilities.

Soggiorno bellissimo confortevole, ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio nella struttura

Camera da letto ampia e confortevole con il lavandino all'interno comodissimo. Tutto nuovo curato ed in ordine. I bagni pulitissimi e ben organizzati. La cucina ampia accessoriata di ogni comodità. Comoda anche la zona relax soggiorno con libri e televisore. Grande attenzione all'ambiante ed alla raccolta differenziata.

Gute Ausstattung, war alles da, was man braucht.

Einfache Einrichtung, was auch ok ist. In der Preisklasse hätte ich jedoch etwas mehr Komfort erwartet. Hostelaktivitäten haben während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht stattgefunden.

Exceptional

We traveled with 2 teenagers. Very good contact with the staff. Very large communal spacious kitchen. Despite the many guests, there was no problem with preparing a meal. Large clean bathrooms - we had no problem with accessibility. Quadruple room: large, comfortable, quiet, with a sink. The hostel is shoeless so it is very clean. Worth recommending.

Great cooking and dining facilities, and I loved the outdoor patio area. Liked that some rooms had private baths.

Rooms need better blackout curtains. Too much light too early in the morning.

Exceptionally clean. Big kitchen with lots of pots and pans, cutlery, utensils and an outside BBQ. Room was simple but very clean. Bathroom was just down the hall and a big space.

The Best Hostel

This was the best hostel that we have ever stayed. The location was perfect with beautiful surrounding. The staff was really very helpful and accommodating. The dining area was spacious and the kitchen facilities were very well equipped. The place & kitchen were very clean and most guests made an effort to clean up after use. Our family had a very comfortable stay.

Would stay again.

Very nice staff and clean areas. It was pretty quiet and the rooms were a nice size. The kitchen was amazing -industrial with lots of space. Free tea and coffee.

There could be more bathrooms and showers. We had to wait a few times for them to open up.

nice hostel, with everything you need. Good location near the main road and close to supermarkets, super clean rooms and shared areas, very well equipped kitchen and also available washing and drying for 2000 ISK per load.

Very clean and quiet hostel - staff was super sweet and helpful with explaining the laundry facility. The kitchen it huge and very very well maintained. The best part is the heated floors in the main area.
