Not too large property
The food standard, variety and quality is below expectation for the price you pay for the resort

Bardzo miły, pomocny personel. Pyszne jedzenie. Pokoje ogromne, bardzo czyste i wiele udogodnień. Dbają o najmniejsze szczegóły, np. Codziennie przed snem czekały w pokoju ciepłe ciasteczka i bajka na dobranoc dla dorosłych. Basen i widoki obłędne.

I liked the sunset view and their private tour to the Gili Islands. Their drivers and receptionists were helpful and easy to work with. The dinner menu is decently portioned and tasted pretty good.
The breakfast was boring and average. The selections were limited. The room was not exceptionally clean as well with consistent occurrence of bugs. The room had mouldy odour when we checked in but the staff provided aromatherapy to eliminate the smell. The air condition is also poorly positioned so the room is never cool enough. Every evening, there would be a bbq near the beach, causing the area to smell like smoke.

It was amazing . Everything was perfect. The room, the views, the pool, the breakfast, the location.
Very good value for money
We would definitely come back .
We loved everything
7.0 / 10.0
- Very nice and welcoming staff, always ready to help you
- The outdoor space is outstanding
- Really good spa (facilities and massage)
- We did 2 tours (Gili nangu and waterfalls) and both were amazing
- Very good food (a bit too expensive when compared to Indonesia overall)
- The beach was a nice surprise. In front of the hotel is nothing special but you just need to walk a bit (5 min) and you will find nice spot to relax and swim
- Bed night stories and cookies every day and some days some messages at breakfast, great!
- The room needs to be renovated (some old furniture) and mosquito nets should be placed by default (we had to ask to have them on the bathroom windows)
- The cleaning of the room was not good enough for a 5 star hotel (towels and curtains with stains, glasses not clean at all and overall cleaning of the room)
- On the last 3 days the warm water run out quickly, not enough even for a quick shower
- Breakfast was very good but each person can only order 1 plate which is disappointing for a 5 star hotel
- They do not have the “not disturbing” sign so staff hotel will nock on your door even if you don’t want to be disturb
- Every day at 5am and at 9pm we could hear mosque prayers. Not hotel’s fault but can be annoying specially at 5 am

The service from the staff was excellent. The food was very good though for the breakfast, I would have preferred buffet rather than ala carte.
I feel the material used on the roof (straw or bamboo?) tends to gather a lot of dust and immediately triggers allergy for those who are allergic to dust like my husband. Overall loved the hotel and the service of the staff but because of this we will probably avoid it for future travel.

we enjoyed our stay at Sudamala resort. We stayed there a whole week and spent most of our time in the resort.
we loved:
- the room, it was super clean and well decorated. because they couldn't fit a mosquito net, they provided us with mosquito repellent.
- the resort is small but beautiful - lots of lounging areas, always clean, the landscaping and facilities are really exceptional
- the staff was very kind and professional. my husband got food poisoning during our stay and everyone checked in on us multiple times a day. they offered him coconut water until he felt better.
- they also remembered we were on our honeymoon and treated us to bed decorations and a cake which was very thoughtful.
Also worth noting the sunset from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking!
although we loved our stay at Sudamala, there are a few things that we believe they fell a little short on:
- although located in Lombok, which is arguably cheaper than Ubud, the restaurant prices were the most expensive we've seen on our one-month trip. For eg, a fresh coconut was sold 50k IDR Vs 20-30k IDR in other high end hotels in Bali. Same was for the spa, dry cleaning, etc. The quality received did not justify the higher price.
- the resort's location was not ideal for enjoying the beach. The water is very shallow and has a lot of coral and alguae. Don't expect to swim much in the sea.
- the staff was a bit pushy with our consumption. As soon as we were done with a cocktail or food, we were immediately asked if we wanted another one. it's a fine line to tread between being attentive and pushy, but I think Sudamala was a bit too much on the pushy side.
- the breakfast was good but nothing special either, especially for the price: 125 IDR + 20% service/tax for a hot drink, juice and a dish.

a really picture book perfect property by the beach. the hotel and surrounds are beautiful but I would not recommend the town. Lombok is Bali before the crowds ruined it. it is a perfect hotel to chill for a few days
The spa treatments were expensive and they could have been busy all day if they lowered their prices a bit.

The hotel is full of love!! 💕 unfortunately and it came out of nowhere I had to operate immediately and be hospitalized urgently during our stay in Sudamala, it was surprisingly kind to us that the hotel offered a driver to the hospital and then after the surgery, they paid a visit in the hospital with goodies and flowers, What’s more, they were so kind to postpone our booking and re-arranged a new room that was easier accessible for me, they provided everything they can to accommodate us and make up for the challenge days, countless things, like providing us unlimited drinking water in the room, the staff were super nice to offer room services or carrying things at all times.
The chief cook provided food that I craved for a long time but was off the menu, the waitress always remembered our diet habits and we had good conversations. most importantly is the food in the restaurant can’t be better! ( Definitely order the boneless duck)
The view especially the the Sunset is amazing, it was very helpful for a speedy recovery 😊 The bedding was very comfy and shower was very good too!
The office manager (Rusmadi? if I remember correctly) is really nice, it’s always fun to communicate with him!

Friendly staff, amazing view, restaurant very nice
Maybe pillow on the bed, too smooth. Be careful if you choose visit tour, it's not the hotel who provide directly

The hotel staffs was so friendly and nice ,they willing to give a 100% effort for our hospitality and needs.
The food at Olah Olah restaurant was incredibly delicious and was truly amaze(especially his curry and also satay ikan) the chef (Chef Juandi) was also so nice and friendly, even when we want wrap(take away)some leftovers to our room,he would decorate nice for the leftovers.
The hotel driver(Pak Parman)was fun and nice also, he often tell us stories about Lombok and also his adventure from his young life. It was really an awesome experience.
It would have been better if me and my wife able to stay longer for the excellent hospitality and foods.

Sudamala is a boutique, beachfront property right at the edge of the water in Senggigi. Now, Senggigi isn't your white-sand and lots of it kind of beach. So if that's what you're looking for, you might be better off looking at resorts in South Lombok. But if you want some quiet time, with excellent staff and attention to detail, then Sudamala is for you. We traveled with our kid (2 year old) for 4 nights. The sea-facing room really did have a great view. We went in the rains, but could tell that in summer, sunsets, and a view of Bali's volcanic mountain would be stunning.
The bathroom, with a mix of indoor shower and an outdoor bathtub, was stunning.
The staff exceeded in their care and attention to detail. For our anniversary, we had booked a special dinner; and they went out of their way to set up a canopied table with candle lights and flowers. The meal was a 5-course dinner, customised because I don't eat seafood. Even when after two courses, we had to put a v tired child to bed, they were completely accommodating, and brought us our main course after a good 40 mins' break: still completely hot and fresh. The food was excellent; especially all the local dishes.
Do note this is a small resort, so don't expect multiple big pools, or activities for kids. But our toddler likes staring at waves, picking up flowers and leaves, so it was fine for us.
-The resort had low occupancy during monsoon, so instead of the buffet breakfast, they did a la carte. The options for kids are a little limited, especially if you are looking for basic things like bananas or yoghurt or cereals. However, there is a supermarket across the road, if you want to grab supplies.
-On one night, there were mosquitoes in the room, so carry a repellant or ask them to service the room with doors closed.
-Senggigi isn't the prettiest of beaches; it has dark sand, the waves are rough, and the beach slopes sharply into the water.

This is a clean modern hotel about a 10 minute drive from Padang Bai . The staff are excellent the food was great . Our sunset room was spacious and had outstanding sea views . The pool was well kept and clean. Breakfast isn’t included in your seat but we did eat here each morning during our 4 day stay , it’s not buffet style but we preferred that as the food is fresher , prepared to order , you don’t overeat so plenty of heathy options . on good weather days it was beautiful to sit with a cocktail to see the outstanding sunset the sunset .
There’s not a lot to do immediately in the area but we are walkers so we walked into Padang Bai . We did have an issue on our last full day where the hotel took an external birthday party booking for a party of over 100 guest . This did significantly impact being able to enjoy the facilities all day and evening but after some upset and honest exchanges we did resolve this with the management.

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay before heading into the holidays and this location and resort hit all of our needs. The Staff were all so great to welcome us and remembered our room number and even the things we liked (food and drinks). We liked having our personal space with the villa with pool, but to also use the common areas that were still peaceful.
Transit from airport to resort was a little stressful. We thought we had someone booked to pick us up, but no signs and many drivers begging to take us. We were not sure who to trust. Would have been ideal if they were there with a big sign.
