Location
Nothing it was perfect

The location in the village was ideal , it was extremely clean and comfortable.
We would definitely come back again.
We drive a Range Rover the arch to access the parking was to narrow, so we had to park on the high street. Had we known the width restriction we would have used another car. No toaster available, we are average size people however the double bed duvet was too narrow in width. So my husband slept in a single bed need a wider duvet. No toilet upstairs so in the night one would have to walk downstairs to use the toilet.

Cleanliness of property, location and assistance of owner with any queries. Will definitely make it my first point of call

comfortable, free parking, very friendly host.
Need to replace urgently the electric kettle. It is very rusty and this presents a potential health hazard.
Also, the kitchen needs a smoke extractor. The smoke detector is activated just by frying eggs.

Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped and in a very pleasant town. Beds were comfortable and everything works as it should. For the money exactly as it should be, thankyou for making such a property available at a price that helps in difficult times :)
Nothing I can think of, if we head up to that area again we would look to book again

Good location for Pennine way access. Couple of pubs nearby plus local shop. Tea, coffee and milk available on arrival which was lovely to see.
Can't fault the cottage as it's typical for the area. No dishwasher which was fine for us as a group of friends and knew this at booking. If you have children with you though then the washing up would build up a bit plus the draining board is small with no rack.

Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Very clean throughout with all the facilities you need or expect.
An extremely quiet mews cottage in a beautiful village. Very good food at Forresters across the road which has an excellent French restaurant.

The location of the cottage was excellent. In the heart of the market place situated in a courtyard behind the pub. Lovely pub, super fish and chip shop across the road and nice coffee shop on the high street. The area is very dog friendly too.
Although there are 3 bedrooms I think should all these be occupied the downstairs space would be a little snug

Lovely quiet location - perfect place for a young family -all the facilities you need, excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside around. Really nice fish shop just out on the main road. The co op shop is just round the corner too, Cosy little cottage - very clean and neutral looking

The next door neighbours gruesome window decorations it was very off putting.

Location was good close to amenities. Fish and chip shop and Teesdale hotel serving excellent meals "on the doorstep" Lots of stunning scenery and walks . Cottage was well equipped. The owners were very easy to contact and very amenable.
We would definitely re-book.
We were happy with everything. There was nothing to dislike.

Really cosy & well appointed cottage. Mews cottage was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Location was fabulous for walking, pottering around the village and enjoying the pubs/cafes. We parked up outside when we arrived and didn’t need to get in the car again until 4 days later when we left. Would not hesitate to recommend.
No issues.

Great location. Responsive host.
Alley to park a bit tight and one night could not park at property but lots of on street parking in off season.

Great location, right next to the pub and local shop
The beds were too short

We loved the table and benches outside the property to sit out on. A bonus was that there was also a parasol there for the sun.The cottage itself was in reality better than the photo's we'd seen.
Would have liked a wooden spoon and a wooden spatular. Also there wasn't a stand alone toaster, but no matter as we managed very well without these things.

The location of the cottage was excellent, with a lovely seating area outside in the shared courtyard area. The property was very clean, with thought having also gone into issues around Covid risk. It was excellent value for money, and well equipped. The main double bed wasn't the most comfortable though I still slept well. It was a very relaxing stay, and I would definitely return. The hosts were very helpful and made sure we were are of how to contact them should there have been any issues arise, but we had no need to do this.
Bed could have been more comfortable.

Town central location good for amenities
Better TV

The location was central which was very convenient for accessing take-away and restaurant food. The area is attractive, very typical of a Teesdale village, with easy access to the countryside. This was ideal for our walking holiday. We had very friendly, helpful communication with Anne by telephone and in person. The house was attractively decorated, and considering the facilities had been pared down because of Covid-19 requirements, we were well catered for. We had good sleeps after our walks in the comfortable bed and liked the duvet, as it was not cumbersome but warm to use.
Obviously, some items were not provided because of Covid-19 safety guidelines but all the essentials and more were there.
