Quaint and cute cottage close enough to TC to feel like you're in on the action, but not too close. The king size bed was very comfortable. Stocked with pretty much everything you could need, except food and clothes. Communication with host was very easy via app or text. FYI if youre used to city water, it appears to be well water. Lots of beaches and vineyards nearby - host does have a list of recommended things to do, places to eat, etc.

Clean and quiet. Close to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes area .

We were really disappointed with the small size of the fenced in yard.
We were happy to find a place that accommodated our family’s dogs but really thought the whole yard was fenced-in. That was the primary reason we chose to stay here.
Other than that, everything was very nice and we had a great time.( Kayaks were pretty yucky/ got a spider bite while kayaking.)

It was smaller than I thought- but still worked out well for us.

We had a great time at the Namaste Island Cottage! Taylor made us feel at home and even went out of her way to replace a malfunctioning coffee maker during our stay. We hiked, kayaked, tasted the wine, climbed the dunes, and hit all the cool spots on the M-22. The cottage is lovely, maybe a little small, but it has everything you need for a great vacation. The location is a perfect mix of close enough and just far away enough from Traverse City.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back to TC and see all the stuff we missed. THANKS TAYLOR! Oh, and, the Alpaca farm nearby was excellent. :D

Traverse City Getaway
Let me say first that Taylor was extremly responsive to all our questions and requests. she could not have been more friendly and helpful. The cottage is rustic but has everything you need to make yourself comfortable. We were there for a week and throughly enjoyed ourselves.
The beds had excellent matresses - at least the 2 we tried on the main level. Excellent water pressure for the shower. It's the little things that make it good!
If you don't have a streaming account, you should get one before coming. There is cable in one of the bed rooms but we couldn't get it running. There is a dvd player in the basement though. the 2nd bathroom is in the basement and is a 2 piece bathroom in the laundry room. But it works just fine and is really nice to have.
The lake is pretty and is about a block away down the road.
The cottage is just a short drive to almost everything! Sometimes it is nice not to be in the middle of all the activity but have the choice to come and go.
We would definitely stay at the cottage again!!
Thanks for sharing it with us, Taylor!

Excellent Property !
Taylor was very easy to communicate with.
We asked to add additional night stay and had a prompt response and approval.
We travel with our pets, and they were allowed to stay.
Also had a nice fenced in area for them to run.
Close proximity to Traverse City and surrounding areas.
Property was well stocked in the kitchen, and also had nice game area in the lower level.
We will return!!

Very small
Smaller then I assumed. Felt property could have been cleaner and tidier then found.

Comfortable
We were very happy with the house and the area that we stayed in. It was a busy 4th of July weekend and we stayed in a quiet area. We were close to family, Traverse City and the wineries! We had quick responses to any questions that we had. Very clean and plenty of room for our family!
