Our room was spotlessly clean, big, airy, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee provided! All the staff were very friendly and helpful but professional. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was wonderful, great food, beers and wines.... with excellent service. We felt very welcome and well looked after in the hotel which has been beautifully renovated. We shall certainly be staying there again!
the only things that could have improved the room for me were a full length mirror, a hook near the shower to hang your shower towel on and a hairdryer ......

A family run establishment and it feels like it. Francisco is wonderful and attended to all my needs. Great value for money for the budget traveller.

A beautiful old building, thoughtfully converted with an adjoining tapas bar. Very central. Plenty of bars and cafes nearby for breakfast, etc. Our room was quite small but had a kettle with tea/coffee which was welcome
The open plan bathroom arrangement was new and well laid out - a door to separate the toilet area would be preferable

lovely place, excellent restaurant, nice staff.
The well appointed, modern rooms had no separation between bedroom, shower and toilet. And all was in glass and fully transparent.

Very comfortable bed, nice big walk in shower. Up market tapas. Great location in the smart old quarter near the castle. Go to the museum, it's excellent and free.
We had a room overlooking the street which was very noisy right through Saturday night until 5. P

Good location. Very clean. Lovely staff.
Couldn’t access the building to check in, had to wait for someone to leave in order to get to reception.

Great location - very easy to get to many of the town's attractions
Wonderful staff - all very helpful and pleasant
Excellent tapas bar on the ground floor. I ate there frequently. I found the food very delicious, creative and original and it was all reasonably priced. Obviously a big favourite in the area as it was packed most times
Clean, comfortable bed and pillow
Other than the bed, there was virtually no furniture in this room. No desk, no chair, no shelves, no tables - except for a very small end table that I moved to the side of the bed so I would have someplace for my phone and personal items. This would normally be workable if you're only there for a night or two, but I was a 4 night guest. I couldn't unpack anything because there was literally no place to put it. Even my shaving stuff - I had to bring it to the bathroom, then put it back in my bag. Very strange. A few shelves in the bedroom and bathroom are definitely needed. Perhaps this is the only room like this - I don't know.

They accepted the booking and my wife and I arrived to find the hotel locked! Parked outside as we didn’t know where the parking was (local multi-storey not at the hotel) we stayed hoping to eat at the attached Tapas bar - closed no mention of this when booking from either booking.com or host!
Eventually managed to speak to owner (couldn’t get through to Booking.com) and the let us in. It appears we were their only guests that night! After check in the room was ok - clean but basic - kettle and tea bag no crockery!! Nice comfy mattress- memory foam pillows was like sleeping on soft bricks!
Because Tapas bar was closed as was the bar we ate out. Arriving back to the hotel - key card didn’t work! Again phoned and they opened looking surprised! Got to our room and the key card didn’t work again! Called them again and they presented us with another. No apology from them or booking.com but no surprise there!
Something to drink the tea out of instead of a plastic cup!
Key cards that work
Being told that food or drink would not be available especially as they new we would be arriving around 8/8.30

A gorgeous hotel, wonderful common areas, great bathroom, lovely people.
I think the hotel needs to put small bedside tables next to the beds for the phone/alarm, a book, glasses, etc.

We were received warmly and got into our room without fuss. The location is ideal for the town with no complications of access even when main door closed. We dined one night in the hotel restaurant and the traditional food on offer was really excellent. The staff were obliging and informal. A place to be recommended without hesitation.

Great location, staff were super friendly and told us about the area and local delicacies.
Could hear lots of noise from other guests, such as doors closing, talking etc.
Open plan room with toilet and shower open to the rest of the room was strange.
No persianas on the windows meant that we didn’t sleep as well as we could have done.

Booked superior double and it was the smallest room you could possibly have. Shower and toilet were so small you could hardly turn. Paid €47 and for just €2 more stayed in a lovely hotel in Granada previous night.

Restaurant and tapas downstairs worth a try, WIFI, very central, Mercadona supermarket just opposite
Little outside walk to parking, tiny room, tiny shower

This is a very charming and special place to stay in Antequera, and the tapas bar and restaurant are excellent!
I loved my room, but the beds are somewhat narrow.
