We loved the cute cottage. Listening to the babbling brook all night was exactly what we needed. We so enjoyed coffe on the deck and hiking the waterfalls nearby. The short trip to Asheville for dinner was perfect. We hope to stay again!

This cabin is exactly what we wanted. We wanted quick access to the Parkway and it definitely had that! The cabin was cozy, clean and was even better than the description. After a long day of sightseeing and hiking it was perfect to sit on the deck with a glass of wine and listen to the creek. We are looking forward to another stay in the future!

On reading the reviews, we assumed this would be a pretty nice place to stay. But upon arrival the odor of mildew was overwhelming. I emailed evolve saying I didn’t think we could stay all four nights, but they never responded. After a day or so the smell was a little better. Probably because we had the air conditioner going, drawing some of the moisture out. But everything felt damp, even the pillows and sheets.
The bed was awful. It’s sunk in so badly that it was a struggle to roll over or crawl out. I tried the other beds but they were hard as rocks.
The only TV was maybe 20 inches. We had to move the couch up 6 feet to be able to see it. Everything was just terribly outdated.
Call it vintage if you want, but it seemed more like old stuff that no one wanted anymore.
It says it’s located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway but that was at least a 20 to 30 minute drive away. And speaking of drives, it’s not a very nice ride in. Lots of trailers with their entire property filled with junk cars.
Really the only thing I can say nice about this place is the creek was charming. The first night it stormed and between that and the babbling creek, it was really serene.
I just don’t understand the positive reviews.
And as much as I dislike leaving this negative review, I think it’s only fair for other people to know so they don’t spend that type of money and end up dissatisfied.
Oh yeah, beware of the host fee. That almost doubled the nightly rate.

This cabin is absolutely adorable! We loved the brook in the back and the retro decorations. The cabin could have used some dusting and the bed in the main bedroom needs to be replaced (it killed my back), but we would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this quaint cottage. It was so peaceful and the little touches that the owners provided, like the wine, snacks and coffee put it over the top. We had to great campfires and enjoyed the sound of the babbling brook. It was a perfect distance from Asheville, Brevard and Hendersonville. We got to enjoy the fall leaves and the surrounding area. We will be back.

We had a nice stay at the creekside cottage. The location was close to the parkway. Nice, quiet area. The creek was wonderful. Enjoyed spending time out on the deck and roasting marshmallows in the firepit.

Thanks so much to Julia for the warm welcomes and the wonderful stay at their family cabin. For me, sitting on that back deck and listening to the babbling brook at the beginning and end of each day was the highlight of our trip. My family and I loved our time in Asheville and driving and hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway—the cabin is relatively equidistant from both. We’ll be back! Thanks for making our vacation everything we hoped it would be!

We spent our Thanksgiving holidays at this adorable cabin, and had an great time. It is as represented in the pictures and description---and did I mention the creek? It is so wonderful to see and hear, right there off of the deck and especially visible from the big kitchen window. The windows btw were one of my favorite things about the cabin...so much light!
The bedrooms and baths (1 whole, one half) are well laid out just a few steps up from the main floor, and while not plush they are comfortable and certainly functional. There is a new mattress in the Queen bedroom, which was great.
Because the leaves are down, we had a nice view of the mountains from the back of the house, but with the bubbling creek and woods the view must be equally spectacular in the spring/summer. I am anxious to come back when the Rhododendrons are blooming---that must be spectacular! All in all a really excellent choice...

This home was in the perfect location for us considering the event that we were involved with on Mt Pisgah. The house had everything that was needed and more. A well equipped kitchen with and dining area made for easy and effective meal preparation. We appreciated all the small decorative ideas that reminded us of comfortable settings that we had experienced in our lives at one point or another. I can certainly understand why the words "Grandma's House" appears a-lot in the guest book at the entrance. Will definitely be look9ing for this place again.

Charming house in a beautiful setting. Everything was as described and suited us to a tee. The house was easy to find, close enough to Asheville to be convenient, remote enough to be peaceful and offered us all the space and amenities that we needed. I only wish we had more time, and slightly warmer weather, to enjoy outdoor recreational opportunities.
Thank you for sharing your amazing home.

Great location with proximity to Asheville. Quaint rustic cabin feel. Literally surrounded by the forest and a babbling Brooke.

As you can tell from the pictures, there is a stream directly next to the property. We slept with the window open the entire time that we were there and it was terrific. It was close to the national forest, close enough to Asheville and Brevard, and yet far enough away that we could see the stars at night by the fire pit.
Great stay

Where to begin…
The house is special, as is the creek running right behind the back deck - nothing more relaxing than that sound. The fire pit was fantastic as well, and the mossy little trail leading from the house made it feel like The Shire.
Beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillows. Also really enjoyed the kitchen, which has a European feel to it.
Last but certainly not least is the hospitality from the host - the communication on check in and check out was A1, and the best part: there was a birthday basket full of goodies as well as a Happy Birthday sign hanging above the back patio door.
Long story short: this was an absolute perfect getaway. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks again. We’ll be back.

We were expecting rustic but generally comfy which we mostly experienced. Let me start by saying that the deck on the creek is absolutely idyllic, loved it and spent most of our at home time enjoying it. In general the house would benefit greatly (at least during the summer months which is when we were there) from a dehumidifier. It wasn't warm enough for air conditioning or that might have been a good alternative if it had been warmer. The full bath needs attention with a couple of non-deal breaker issues that have been communicated to the owners.

We will definitely be back. The property is at a perfect location for our family.

Short stay at lucky find
Had a great visit. The property was exactly as described, and check in/out were simple. The owners were very clear in their directions to the house, and about what to expect at the property. Cute little cabin, and kind of a fairyland yard! Very comfortable. Convenient for hiking(30 min drive for several trail options) and for dining in Asheville (again, about 30 minutes, but in the opposite direction, so easy to stop at the cabin for a shower before dinner).

True cabin experience
Are home is over 100 years old according to the history is written by the owners. It is right on a creek that adds to the charm, and is extremely relaxing. Secluded but close enough to town. Would definitely stay there again.

What a great place
We really enjoyed this cottage. Truly was a lucky find. Great location to enter the Blue Ridge parkway. Very easy access if main paved roads. Quiet setting, yet not in the middle of nowhere. No view of any neighboring cabins off the back deck, which makes for a serene setting. The most beautiful and bubbling creek running right next to the cabin. Plenty of space for kids to explore. Comfy camp fire with plenty of Aderoindak chairs. Everything we needed was provided inside and outside the cottage. The firewood in the car port was such a huge plus. It was in the 20s during our trip and the central heat proved to be working very well. I could go on and on. I really loved this cabin. 5 out of 5 rating from me.

Perfect cozy cottage
We absolutely adored this cabin. It is perfectly serene and utterly adorable. It was obvious the owners took great care to make sure everything was comfortable and clearly communicated. We really couldn't have asked for more.
Comfy beds, plenty of towels, a well stocked kitchen, and the outside spaces right on the creek were wonderful.

Charming and Peaceful Cottage
Our family of 2 adults and a 13 year old stayed this past weekend at the Lucky Find Cottage. It was a perfect, quiet location with easy access to the mountains for hiking, Blue Ridge Parkway for a scenic ride and Ashville. We found a Retro Arcade that was great for our son and us adults to break up the outdoor time. The cottage history in the guest book was very much appreciated. Thank you for sharing your home and history. We want to come back in the summer to enjoy more of the outside amenities. The Wilmoths

Pretty Nice Place
The booking was clean, however had some dust among the entire place. The master bed was falling apart, and most of the linens were dingy from the iron in the well water. The creek out back and fire pit were awesome. The location was great when looking for a place that is close to the pisgah forest and waterfalls. Overall I would recommend to somebody else to book.

We enjoyed our stay at Lucky Fine cottage. This cozy cottage is beautifully decorated with antique items and mountain crafts. Two bedrooms on upper level are connected by a full bath and there is a powder room in one bedroom. This rental is one of the best supplied of any we have stayed in, all amenities are provide as well as extras such as bug spray, suntan lotion, water bottles, etc. The owner was even nice enough to leave a gift of a bottle of wine, candy, and smores ingredients. The yard is also lovely with many decorations, rhododendrons, and mountain laurel. There is a fire pit surrounded by chaits and even unique roasting sticks are provided. The stream flows in back of the cottage making a peaceful sound of rushing water We would definitely return here when visiting Asheville.

Heaven on Earth
This is the most spectacular place we have ever stayed. All the extras like wine and s’mores were so special. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable and then there is the best part...outside. The creek , the moss lawn, all the places to sit and the tree canopy that allows just enough sun through to paint sun pictures. We loved every minute we were there. Thanks for sharing this very Lucky Find Cottage with us. The creek sound was so soothing and exhilarating.
