Un lieu exceptionnel et le vrai luxe, simple, essentiel.

Un séjour magnifique

La vue et le château somptueux, une chambre sobre et adaptée à la majesté des lieux. Un petit déjeuner copieux et de grande qualité avec vue sur la mer. Un personnel très gentil et attentif, de bons conseils de visite. Site très calme Magnifique hôtel que je recommande .

Précisions tardives sur les 60 marches à monter pour arriver de l'ascenseur à la chambre. La belle terrasse permet aux clients de continuer à discuter tard dans la nuit mais au détriment du sommeil des clients dont les chambres donnent sur la terrasse. Attention aux taxis même ceux commandés par l'hôtel et demander le tarif de la course au chauffeur avant de démarrer. Pas de TV dans la chambre ( mais vraiment pas necessaire)

We loved our stay - the hotel is in a gorgeous location and service was wonderful!

We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again- Il Monastero is fabulous, the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are fascinating, the view from the terrace stunning! We also enjoyed having aperativo at the cafe every day at sunset, again with marvellous views and Limoncello Spritz! The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The breakfast were amazing with a lot of house made delights such as cured fish, breads and cakes. We were also lucky to experience the degustation dinner - not to be missed!

The jewel in the crown of Ischia

Absolutely stunning location, with breathtaking views of the island. Gorgeous rooms and very friendly staff. Staying in this historic convent, and having access to its grounds is truly special. Breakfast was versatile and delicious.

Stunning location, beautiful scenery from beautiful terraces and gardens. Simple but clean and well appointed rooms, excellent restaurant. Aperativos on the terrace before dinner at sunset was amazing. Lovely staff, couldn't do enough for us.

Rooms were on the small side, but not an issue as they were clean and functional.

Wonderful stay, lovely staff

Marvelous, magical location, delightful, helpful staff superb breakfast, excellent value.

Wifi was poor, at least where I stayed, in room 16. A staff member very kindly came to my room to connect me to a different wifi address, but that one was weak too. I stayed also on the terrace level for one night and wifi was better there. This is my only complaint - otherwise the place is a dream!

Far and away the best hotel I’ve ever been to. Mind-blowing. Everything about our stay was exceptional - the grounds, the staff, the breakfast, and the cafe were all fabulous. The decor was simple but elegant. We loved hanging out in the castle gardens in the morning and having wine from the castle on the terrace at night. It was a magical experience to stay here, one that I will cherish forever! I cannot wait to come back!

tastefully appointed rooms in monastery in a historic castle. fantastic views. lovely garden and terraces with spectacular views. delicious swims.

nothing. the stairs are quite something but they are necessary for the charm, seclusion and views.

16th Century Argonese Castle…. Incredible Gardens, views,set within a historical Castle and Monastery

This amazing Monastery has many levels, steps, stairs! Visiting Hotel guests need to be able to manage walking distances that could be difficult for elders?!!

Pleasant experience

The hosts were extremely kind and went out of their way to help us plan our days and tours. such wonderful people. Breakfast was quaint and you could request other options.

Not much to do in the evening and very few dinner options so my advice is to eat before coming back.

An absolute dream

absolutely amazing location, you’ll never forget your trip to Ischia. You’re going to be *litterally* given the keys to the castle.

Hard to find anything negative to say but can be a teeny bit noisy in between rooms, it is a monastery after all.
