Een heerlijk kleinschalig hotel met erg persoonlijke aandacht in de chique buitenwijken van Colombo.

Uitzonderlijk lekker ontbijt, prima restaurant, uitstekende bedden.

Niets, hooguit de ligging van het hotel: een beetje afgelegen van het centrum.

Magnifique hôtel avec cours intérieure et chambres très joliment décorées. Idéalement situé dans Colombo, cet établissement offre un service impeccable avec un personnel très serviable et une qualité de nourriture divine. La literie est très confortable, la salle de bain très fonctionnelle. Un sans faute!

Only place to stay in Colombo!

Extraordinary vintage home; elegant yet homey, garden and pool heavenly, rooms exquisitely appointed but it was the exceptional staff that was the real treat. This is a sanctuary in the busyness of Colombo. The restaurant is excellent and the neighborhood is beautiful; easy and safe to walk day or night.

Beautiful old world charm

Superb service, very comfortable beautifully furnished room & a luxurious old world charm. The food is freshly made, tasty & not pricey considering the location and quality. The staff are very courteous & you feel like a vip lol.

The charges they quoted for transport to/from airport was double what we can get outside or via booking app

We loved everything with this hotel. The room, the service, the breakfast, the pool, everything was perfect. I feel extremely lucky we found this gem of a hotel.

It was a quick overnight trip and a perfect way to spend the night. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond.

The hotel was beautiful. The old house has been well cared for and repurposed to host guests. The staff were amazing and breakfast was delightful

Great boutique hotel in quiet area with all the comforts and character

We booked the Ranee suite and it was a great room - on top floor with large balcony, large room and bathroom. The decor was very nice and had charm. The bedding was very comfortable and shower was good, aircon worked well. The place was very quiet except when they are having functions, but they finished at a reasonable hour. The breakfast was nice in courtyard area with a lot of options to choose from and cooked to order which is good. The location was pretty good as it is very easy to get around by tuk tuk and we didn't want to stay where all the big hotels are. There are plenty of cafes around that are walkable from hotel. There was an open window in bathroom which really should be covered by a flyscreen but there didn't appear to be mosquitos so it was OK. The wifi worked well. We would definitely consider staying here again if in Colombo as it was in a quiet area, with an intimate feel and nice building and very comfortable room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel should provide menus in the rooms for drinks and lunch and dinner and information about laundry and other facilities/services so that one knows without needing to ask.

cool,friendly,bit out of town but in Colombo that’s not a bad thing.Interesting people and good food.Staff we’re amazing getting us a urgent taxi to the airport when Über let us down

the room’s outside bathroom would take a bit of getting used too… a few too many mosquitoes stay the night in it so not a place to linger

Superb stylish boutique hotel with excellent food.

Colonial mansion with excellent, stylish furnishings. Huge room with very comfortable bed. Lovely garden with pool. Quiet in a smart area of town away from the centre. Attentive staff. Lovely breakfast, and the Sri Lanka thali at lunch particularly good.

A glimpse of colonial Ceylon.

The Maniumpathy Hotel was a different experience from the usual international hotel offering. It would have been easy to forget that I was in a hotel and think that I was staying at a distant cousin's country house. I had an air-conditioned room with a four-poster bed complete with mosquito netting. The en-suite bathroom was "outdoors," which required mosquito coils to avoid bites. Otherwise, the ablution facilities were private and spacious. The free wifi never failed, but there were warnings about power outages and demonstrations during my visit. The lack of tourists in Colombo was evident at a glance in any foray downtown, and it also meant that there were few other guests for much of my stay. The meals were served either under the veranda or in the garden area. The quality of the offerings at each sitting was excellent, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast of curry and hoppers and the lunchtime thali. There is no bar, but cans of local beer were available on request.

Exceptional

Historical manor house in the quaintest and most central neighborhood of Colombo, this old Jaffna family house is very tastefully refurbished, staying true to its character while offering unparalleled comfort!! The food at the restaurant is excellent (highly recommended), do try the coconut ice cream for dessert! Best costumer service we have ever experienced. And we travel a lot!!

Beautiful room and lovely staff

Beautiful room, was huge and very nicely decorated. Roll top bath, balcony, 4 poster bed. The food was great, staff were v attentive and the pool was very nice. Wish could have stayed longer

I would absolutely stay here again - it was perfect!!

All the meals were beautiful and delicious. The property is exquisite and the staff are extremely wonderful. I recommend this hotel VERY highly!
