We fell in love with this charming cozy cabin, its perch above the lake, its location in a quiet dead end street only 20 minutes from Ithica to the south and Aurora 20 minutes to the north. Very clean, rustic in the sense of casual but not in the sense of lack of amenities.

We just had another wonderful vacation at Nancy’s lake Cayuga cabin. The water was beautiful and we enjoyed hiking at Treman park and dinners out in Ithaca and Lansing. Nancy is an attentive host and the cabin is charming and well cared for.

My sister slept on the comfy pull out couch and my teenage daughter and I took the full size loft bed. With the cool lake breeze and the sound of waves lapping on the shore we slept like babes! Nancy and Rick were terrific hosts and have appointed the cabin with everything you need. The lake is stunning and we took out the kayaks every day, as well as fished, swam, and walked the abandoned train tracks. We will definitely be back to this magical, relaxing and rejuvenating place!

We came up for a quick get away. The cottage and property is so adorable. We had a restful stay and visited the spa at Inn at Aurora for my birthday. Nancy reached out to see if we needed anything. She had a bouquet of beautiful wildflowers for my birthday. You can see the hosts really love their cottage. We will be back.

The timber-frame cabin had everything we needed and more. The host was very helpful. The view of lake Cayuga was framed by magnificent trees. The way the lot was landscaped was very clever, with various levels down to the lake, dock, and boat house. Beautiful countryside and waterfalls to visit.

Everything in the property description was 100% accurate. Very quiet and quaint, perfect for my wife and I. Loved sitting on the dock in the evening and watching the sunset. Communication with the owner was quick and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay ! We loved the peaceful area and the great view of the lake. Also, being close to the parks/waterfalls that we wanted to see, was definitely a plus ! Nancy is very accommodating with a lot of suggestions if you heed them !

We were in awe of the reclaimed building materials. Perfect weekend to get away with spouse & dog and located within 20 minutes to see the waterfalls. We enjoyed kayaking on ckeckout day because we werent required to leave at a specific time. We plan to come back again.

This place was ADORABLE and so close to Ithaca. The nights were blissfully quiet - if you don’t count the waves from the lake that lulled us to sleep. The road was great for walking our little dog and we enjoyed seeing all the deer around the neighborhood. My only feedback was the shower. While my husband and I are pretty low maintenance and can make do without much, we arrived late with the hope of a nice hot shower after a long drive, but that wasn’t the case. It IS a camp so we weren’t expecting anything fancy, but a little forewarning would have been appreciated. Regardless, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was my wife and I's third time at this property, this time for our honeymoon. I proposed to my wife here this time last year. Nancy is a fantastic host and the property is the picturesque romantic getaway. Can't wait to visit again next year. Have a great winter, Nancy!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage nestled by trees. This was a second stay. Lovely view of the water. I enjoyed my swim in the lake. Kayaks were available too.

This cabin was the perfect place to unwind for the holiday week. Secluded, but not isolated, we felt like we had our own cabin in the woods without being too far away from restaurants and activities like hiking. We even went out on the water in the kayaks. The amenities are also great - good wifi, fridge, and all the things one would need for a weekend retreat. The cabin has a wonderful feel, and our host was super responsive and even provided recommendations for activities. I would highly recommend this cabin for a visit to the Finger Lakes.

Communication was great. We had a great time staying here and spent alot of time traveling to Ithaca for restaurants and hiking. The only things I thought were not explained well is that the bed in loft is on the floor, but it was still semi-comfortable. And the other thing is the bathtub..there is no shower but a handheld showerhead so you have to kind of sit down and shower as to not get water everywhere. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and those were merely minor things we just werent aware of.

I always wanted a tree house growing up. This little cottage is very close to my dream. It was cozy very quiet nestled in trees with beautiful view of lake. I would not recommend to seniors that are not strong enough to climb latter to loft or who need to use the bathroom during the night. Claw tub hand held nozzle to shower can be risk of falling. Screen door that covers opening keeping out the bugs could have helped. Unfortunately we had terrible rainy weather so we were limited on outdoor beauty. Nancy very sweet accommodating.

This is our fourth year celebrating my husbands birthday in this cute little cabin and it continues to take our breath away! Watching the sunset from the boat house and/or kayaks with a couple of drinks and good music is my all time favorite thing about this place. It is so special and dear to our hearts. Truly an escape from life and so serene. Can’t wait for the next time!!

I highly recommend staying with Nancy and Rick! We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The location is ideal and extremely quiet as it is located on a dead end. It was a very easy drive into Ithica and to the local wineries and markets. The cabin itself was perfect for us. We had everything we needed including space heaters if it got cold and the amenities and grill worked perfectly. We cannot wait to be back!

We had a great time in this rustic little cabin. Perfect for 2 looking to get away for a weekend. Very quiet area but not too far from some great wineries. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Communication was a breeze. Highly recommended!

The cabin was perfect for our first trip to the finger lakes. The location was perfect and the view of the lake was beautiful. About a 20 min drive to multiple attractions in the area including downtown Ithaca. The cabin had all amenities we needed for our stay. Nancy was very informative and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

This cabin was so unique and everything I was looking for!! Had a cookout the first night and after an amazing sunset sat for the rest of the night next to the fire pit. Day two involved going around and seeing all the local attractions and then a snug and warm night inside relaxing with a book. Loved hanging on the dock with chairs from the boathouse and just watching the birds. The lake was very active so didn't use the kayaks but inside the boathouse was cool!! Loved everything about my stay and as usual cried when it was time to leave ☺ Hope to be going back soon!!

We stayed here last year and my girlfriend and I fell in love with the place. I decided to bring her up here again for a surprise vacation and asked her to marry me on the dock. Nancy and her neighbors were incredibly helpful throughout the planning and someone even used stones to form two hearts on the dock which was a nice touch. Thank you Nancy and neighbors for making this a weekend neither of us will ever forget!! -Mitchell & Felicia

The fact that the weather did not cooperate very well made this “getaway” less than enjoyable. Apparently this was a slow time of year as our sunset cruise got cancelled as we were the only ones who booked. Although the photos were accurate, we didn’t realize just how rustic this was. Almost like camping! The yard and decks were beautiful and that was what drew me to this property. Though with the dreary weather we didn’t get to enjoy it very much.

This cabin is such a dream! Very clean and well stocked with anything you could need. Had the best time enjoying the decks and the dock. Beautiful views of the stars at night. 10/10 recommend!

Wanted a short stay on Cayuga Lake to celebrate my 2 yr count down to retire. I am in good shape so climbing stairs to property or to loft was not an issue. Very peaceful and towards the end of the road. The owner was great in working with me as far as check in and check out. I stayed 4 nights. The only thing I would ask for is update for a stove and fridge. Other than that, my experience was awesome!

This is our second time staying at Nancy's lovely cabin on the lake. We absolutely love staying here - it's so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The kayak and paddle boards are our favorite! We will definitely be staying again next summer.

Sweetest lake cottage
This was our second stay and we reserved again for next year. We love the simplicity and size of the house, and all the possible hangout spots (but especially the adorable boat house balcony). Nancy and Rick are wonderful, low key hosts.

Loved every part of our stay!
We had a wonderful time at this cabin right beside Lake Cayuga. Direct lake access, water activities, and lots of outdoor picnic space. The cabin was rustic in all the right ways (quiet, cozy, lots of natural light) and provided all the amenities we could need. Our host, Nancy, explained everything we needed to know in advance, and was available to answer any questions we had during our stay. Highly recommend this beautiful space to anyone seeking a little time away.

Amazing weekend getaway
We had a wonderful weekend from daily life disconnecting mostly from tech and enjoyed the lake, sunsets and hiking. A wonder low key play I will be sure to rent again. Thank you Nancy!
