We came up for a few days to take a step back from this world and reset. This was a perfect place for us. We had two very small issues the first day and they were both resolved within an hour of me reaching out. Best customer service ever. We will be back each year in our little cabin.

Quiet space for two with easy access to Asheville and smaller mountain towns. Extra cool to be on the grounds of the historic Black Mountain College. Two thumbs up!

We very much enjoyed staying in this rustic yet comfortable cabin. Good location. Beautiful, quiet and peacful. Good communication with the owner. Would stay again.

Great location. Close to Asheville. There are other rentals on the property but they are located so you have privacy. The loft bed is very firm, my husband slept great. Be cautious with the hot water, the shower head puts out a lot of water, it runs out if you like long hot showers. The TV is very small (approximately 22 inch). If you like to relax and watch TV, this might not be the cabin for you. The porch is wonderful to sit on nice mornings and afternoons. The fireplace works amazing! We had a great stay!

Cabin fever was never a problem even though it was winter time in Black Mountain. We enjoyed shopping on a rainy day and enjoyed hiking around the cabin and ponds on the sunny days.
We enjoyed some local restaurants and spending time by the wood stove.

The Cabin was beautiful, very cleaned and organized, cozy and perfect for our anniversary plans. We fell in love with the area and plan to come back with our family to a bigger property and enjoy the surroundings. Leigh was very attentive to my messages and very nice in person when we meet. I appreciate the experience and hope to come back soon. Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin. Probably because it was off-season and holiday weekend, it felt like we were the only ones there. The wood burning stove was preset to start a fire and everything we needed was in the kitchenette. We arrived late and missed the entrance, but the owners graciously met us and led us to the correct spot. Highly recommended!!

Great, cozy little cabin that is legitimately in the woods yet only 15 minutes from shopping and excellent food in Black Mountain. Cabin was perfect for the two of us (and dog). If we ever go back to Black Mountain or Asheville, we will definitely stay here again if it is available.

This little cabin was perfect. The hosts thought of everything. The fireplace was fully stocked with wood when we got there. There is a mini fridge/freezer, 2 countertop burners, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot and more. We really enjoyed our stay.

Quiet spot
Rustic romantic and peaceful…if you’re looking for a place to slow your pace, this is it. We enjoyed walking the dogs around the grounds- plenty of gravel drives to explore. Follow those directions closely to find the cabin. And you may want to plan for your dogs to stay separate from you at night, as the spiral stairs are not dog accessible, unless you carry them of course. Peace!

Fun, relaxing getaway
The only issues were the size of the TV, candy wrappers in the window sill, dirty windows and cob webs. It's an old cabin for sure but could use a deep clean.

Great stay!
Went on a very last minute weekend trip away with the family and dogs and had a fantastic time! The property is really cute, and we loved the wood grill for cooking out.

beautiful home with some quirks. it's a 100 y/o cabin what do you expect. my only complaints is lights either not working or not plugged in. the large light that worked was filled with dead bugs and needed cleaned. the cobwebs in the corner of the upper windows needed to be removed. overall I felt clean and comfortable. wifi was adequate for streaming but tv was not smart ready. great loc and quiet. plans are in the work to make this a yearly home.

Great little cabin
This was the perfect cabin and exactly what we wanted. Very clean and just as described. The grounds around Eden Lake were beautiful and great for a stroll. Its a short 5 minutes to town where everything is at. We will come back! Thanks!

Great getaway!
I almost don’t want to leave a review because I enjoyed this short stay so much and selfishly want to keep it under the radar. But, I’m not alone in having been able to stay at this special place that I am certain I will return to.

Secluded and comfortable, with a side of bacon
My wife and I (plus our newborn) enjoyed our stay and all the beautiful sites in this part of NC. The location is secluded but also feels very secure with neighboring properties. The space had what we needed for a relaxing stay. The only reason I can’t put 5 stars is because upon arrival it smelled like the previous tenant cooked bacon every morning. Who doesn’t love some juicy bacon in a cabin in the woods? But the smell of grease was a bit overpowering for the first couple days. The place aired out, mostly, in the end (with a little help from a candle and air freshener purchased on an emergency Target run) so future tenants need not fret!

This cabin was in a beautiful location. Secluded and yet close proximity to Biltmore Estate and Asheville city center. The most relaxing vacation I’ve had in years. Everyone thought the process was very accommodating and friendly. This place over delivered on so many levels.Thank you much, Josh and Nicole

Little House on the Mountain
After reading Little House series of books by Laura Ingles Wilder we happened across this cabin on VRBO. Thought it would be an interesting place for a long weekend.
We took our dog and part time nanny and had a blast. Just goofing off around the creek and woods was fun for our 4 year old and a fire in fire pit with s’mores was a hit. We also visited Mt Mitchell and were able to enjoy a couple local restaurants.
We will likely be back as scheduling allows.

Freedom to roam!
We loved our quiet weekend in this cabin! While not totally private (another of the property's building's in within clear view of the cabin), we still enjoyed almost complete peace and quiet here. The wood stove is amazing, and kept us cozy and warm. The bed is super comfortable as well, as long as you like a firm mattress (which we do). And the BEST part was being able to wander about the property--gorgeous views, lots of roads/paths/open space, super friendly people (the few times we ran across someone), and VERY dog friendly. Our pup had a blast running in the open fields and meeting other dog friends. :-)
