Sit down with your loved ones at the dining room table before heading outside to explore the Midcoast.
Choose a spot to launch your kayak on the 300-foot tidal riverfront, and spend the morning paddling between islands in Muscongus Bay. Back inside, you can catch a movie on the TV in the living room, or head downstairs for a foosball tournament in the basement game room.
With three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, Midcoast Serenity will accommodate everyone comfortably. The bedrooms are cozy and well-lit, offering one California king-size bed, one queen-size bed, and one double bed, respectively. Very clean inside but lawn needed mowing and weeds were very overgrown. Some minor repairs to the inside of the house would have made the house a absolute amazing time. But we love the location and the size of the house fits our family prefectly.

The home was lovely. Great Wi-Fi! Nice tv. Nice location! Great BBQ.
5.0 / 5.0
At first I was skeptical because of the dirt track of a road. But my skepticism disappeared with the house. Lovely location, so very quiet, would use them again

1. Directions say 2nd to last driveway. How do you know it’s the second to the last unless you drive to the end and turn around?
2. Vacasa provided wrong passcode for key entry. Over 35 minutes on hold before speaking to someone to get into house
3. Amenity number 1 dishwasher: found out too late to cancel that it doesn’t work. Looks like it hasn’t worked in years. Amenity number 2 : A/C turned out to be one small window unit that certainly didn’t cool off the bedrooms Amenity 3: Wi-Fi and TV. Neither ever worked even unplugging route as advised
4. Cleaniness: grape jelly smear in the refrigerator, Dirty soap scum around all the bathroom faucets. That’s what we easily saw
5. Property: narrow dangerous steps, broken door knob front storm door (read about these things but figured a year later they would have been attended to)
The toilet in the master bathroom had a huge crack all the way through the seat and the master shower did not work.
Took over 18 hours to get fixed.
Not sure how either of these were “thoroughly cleaned” but left like this
6. Week stay: one set of towels per guest with no washing machine!
7. Worse water system ever…either scalding hot or freezing cold
This is not a Maine problem as my friend rented a house 15 minutes away that had great water system
Vacasa is not a premier host and should not be called such by Vrbo

Overall the house and property was very nice but in need of a lot of work. The view of the water was exceptional. The front and back stairs to get in the house are wobbly. I read in one of the previous reviews that there were plenty of spices and such for cooking yet we only had salt and pepper. Great for fishing or just getting away for a quiet weekend. very secluded. The firepit was amazing.

Finding the place in the dark is terrible!!!! Instead of saying it's the second to the last place, after the sharp right turn, I believe it was the 3rd drive. ANY marking more out on the road would be a nice improvement. I understand there is going to be a door knob put on the front door, that will help immensely, it was VERY difficult to open and close and lock the door without it. It didn't help that we were given wrong codes to access keys, and the keys were in the wrong lock boxes. Thank God we also had a digit code to get in. The inside of the house is nice and met our needs. As we were going several places, we didn't really miss not having any TV. It's there, but despite unplugging and trying to reset modem, we couldn't even get local channels to check weather. We also didn't use any of the outside or basement. Aside from coffee grounds being left in the coffee pot and the tub taking over 30 min to drain, the house was clean.

Cleanliness OK and Vacasa worked with us because of the property issues. Vacasa a 5 and VRBO a rating of 1.

The house is very cozy, with all the utilities we need. In addition to an incredible patio where we can spend time outdoors enjoying nature.

Difficulty with communication between Vacasa, it took over a week for response & answers were not accurate regarding parking. House very clean, nice fire pit and gas grill. We kayaked from backyard down the river.

not accurate
The biggest problem with the rental was that Air Conditioning was listed as an amenity on the VRBO app. The weather was hot and the cabin very uncomfortable. In addition, the garbage from a previous tenant was in the basement, and the outdoor garbage can was filled to the top - the smell from both were horrific. Finally when we lifted the blanket there were dirty socks! Obviously this made it very uncomfortable. I have pictures of all.
I would like a refund for this horrible experience.

Beautiful and secluded location
We throughly enjoyed our weekend at this location! The house was nice and clean, and stocked well with all the essentials. The house is very secluded and has a pretty view of the water. Over all, we really enjoyed our stay, but there were just a couple things worth mentioning.. The backyard is a bit over grown and very mushy, the house was a little difficult to find without house numbers, and the kitchen chairs were all very rickety/broken. When we sat down to eat breakfast, one of my guests fell through one of the chairs. Trying to reach Vacasa through the number on the website in order to report damage in a timely matter, was impossible. However, these issues were minor and didn’t impact our stay at all. We would absolutely stay here again.

There were good and bad points to the location and the house. First the approach to the house should be mentioned in the description. There is a stretch of about a half a mile where you must drive very close (there is no other way in or out it the property site.) through some of the most derelict properties I have ever witnessed, literal garbage everywhere, piled in front of the trailers, abandon boats everywhere, piles of mattresses left out in the rain for what appeared to be years, poverty is sad but the filth in this area was frightening. People were living in things , they can’t be called houses, that should be condemned for health and safety. There was no problem with our safety, but it felt dangerous. If I had been a woman traveling alone, which I frequently am. I would not have stayed there. We live in the country on a dirt road so we know rural properties aren’t always pristine but this was beyond anything we have ever witnessed any where. The VRBO house itself was clean, cute and comfortable. A few things that could have been improved, extremely low water pressure, almost impossible to get shampoo of of hair. Water dangerously hot with no warning regarding how hot it was, scaulded my hand. No washer and dryer available although laundry detergent was mentioned in the list of items supplied. Location on tidal cove was lovely. We enjoyed the stars in the very dark skies. Would recommend the house not the location.

Bad location because of area you must drive through, one way road in or out. Need to describe .👎🏼

Peaceful and quiet
Our kids loved exploring around the property! It was VERY hard to find in the dark and the basement was pretty dirty, but everything else was very clean and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit too!

Lovely stay, few things to improve upon
Overall, we had a great time in this Waldoboro home. It was clean, (the linens in particular were impeccable,) comfortable, and very spacious. However, the basement is not as advertised- there was a smell (mold, maybe,) coming from the basement, making it impossible to access, and the smell even faintly drifted up to the left side of the kitchen. The china and dishes in this home are beautiful! It was very nice to use all of the other amenities the kitchen and home offered, and the WiFi connection was good- helpful because it is not great connection around the neighborhood. The surrounding area of this house is beautiful, the backyard in particular. My recommendation to the owner is to display the address somewhere clearly on the house, as it was very difficult to find it, especially since we arrived at nighttime. Overall, however, we loved this house!

We would have loved to stay longer....
This home is definitely off the beaten track and we loved it for that. We wanted to be outside all the time but certainly had our share of bugs to send us indoors especially in the evening. That's okay, we get that. The outdoor air was lovely through the windows once it cooled off and we found ourselves truly relaxing as the furnishings were nice and comfortable. There is adequate space for a group although we weren't fond of the basement area as it was very musty smelling. The grounds were lovely with much attention given to the character of the house by planting brightly colored flowers. We did struggle a bit to find the property and felt signage could be a bit improved. We had been told (after sending an inquiry) that there was a washer and dryer on the property but we never found it. We enjoyed the serenity of this location very much.

place as pictured
I was only able to see very briefly that the house looked as the pictures describe. This is because we were not able to stay. The reason for that was that the owner had let others stay at the property without letting the company know. So after driving almost 8hours we were left with zero options.
That being said the company Vacasa took very good care of myself and my family. I would recommend to use that company to anyone. They were wonderful.

Vacasa vacation
We enjoyed touring this area- Rockport, Rockland and Camden. This house was a bit far off the main road and difficult to find due to the lack of a house number. The interior was as pictured with comfy beds and fluffy towels although the basement was a bit dingy. The exterior was in need of some TLC. The gardens will be nice. We enjoyed the living room recliner couch and kitchen amenities. At least some of the dishes matched. All appliances worked well as did the tv reception and wifi.

Vacasa vacation
We enjoyed touring this area - Rockport, Rockland, and Camden. This home was difficult to find as it had no house number on it, and it is far from the main road. The home was clean, beds are comfy, plenty of towels, appliances and barbeque worked well. Foosball table in the dingy basement. The interior pictures are accurate, but the exterior pictures look better than reality. There are a few items that need attention in the home that can be quickly and easily resolved, and more outside before it would feel like a home away from home.

Deserves 10 stars
This house is a great place to stay! The house was spotless and very well stocked with all the essentials. The floors are beautiful and the reclining leather couch was comfortable and looked brand new. The TV has lots of on demand and cable options to watch.
The beds have excellent quality mattresses and the house is decorated nicely. The kitchen has all the essentials and they left us a care package with extra paper products, shampoo, soap, etc. I highly recommend his place and will definitely rent it again when we go back to Maine.

The location of the home is remote but nicely situated on the water. It snowed while we were there and it was so serene and beautiful! I am sure that this is a great place to stay in the Summer.

We had a lovely time during our stay here. The home is beautiful and the attention to detail is spot on. The location is perfect with a water view just steps away. I would highly recommend this home for your next stay. Oh, and the snow made everything so picturesque.

Serenity and natural beauty in a quiet off the beaten path location
Mid coast Serenity is a place off the beaten path. It's quite and peaceful. The house has beautiful hard wood floors throughout most of it. The beds were comfortable and there was adequate storage for groceries. The dining area inside was nice and the couch with the dual recliners made watching TV very relaxing . Regardless of your wireless carrier cell phone service is terrible so be prepared for this. The house had great WiFi and wasn't a problem connecting to the Internet . Moody's diner is within a 10 minute ride and Bistro 32 is within a five minute ride. The house has a fair amount of pots and pans and plenty of dishes and silverware. Hannaford's supermarket is within a 10 minute ride. If you want to be away from it all and in a quiet and peaceful location this is the place for you. I would definitely stay here again.

Secluded with potential
The house has great potential. The location is secluded, which I enjoyed; however be aware the drive is dark and not fully paved. Unfortunately with our short stay and weather we did not get to enjoy the fire pit. The biggest disappointment was the showers. The water pressure was weak, temp was uncontrollable and they drained very slowly.

Clean and comfortable
This worked really well for us. We were a family of 3 couples attending a wedding in the area. The three bedrooms offered comfortable beds, king in the master and a queen in each of the other 2 bedrooms. Basics were provided. I would of liked to stay longer and enjoy the outdoors.
