My brothers, my nephew and I fish every year for a week in different places and we have fished Maine quite a few times. This place was in a perfect location to fish different areas. Pretty hot for Maine but we made the best of it. The host came over and met us when we arrived. Great week

Property owner very nice guy, place is as shown online. Great place to get away on a family vacation. Pond water was pretty clean and caught some big bass. Used water crafts provided daily and had plenty of fires for the kids in the evening.

Camp Betty is set up to make it easy to relax and play in the lake and in the house. There are kayaks , canoes and more to enjoy , the lake is protected by a lot of forests so is not too busy, the water is warm. Inside lots of games and a well equipped kitchen. Not fancy and very comfy.

We enjoyed swimming, canoeing and kayaking on Ward Pond, and fishing too! The cabin was very quaint and relaxing, with a screened porch where we could sit and watch the pond while sipping morning coffee. With 4 bedrooms there was plenty of room to spread out, and a nice big table to gather for games and meals. The neighborhood is very quiet, a great get away from it all place. Dallas was helpful and a great host.

Very beautiful setting. Relaxing screen porch. Well supplied kitchen. All the boats you need for water fun. Hope to return next August.

My wife and I rented this property for 3 weeks in July and had a rotating cast of our friends come to visit while we were there. The amazing camp (what Mainers call cabins) was full of charm and perfect for us and our friends.
Ward pond is a beautiful and quiet body of water, and the water in the little cove next to the camp was warm, private, and perfect for swimming, floating, paddling the provided kayaks and canoe, and fishing for the sizable bass that live in the pond.
The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever found at a rental house, with knives that were actually sharp and plenty of pots and pans. The air conditioning did its job well on warm, humid days, and the screened in porch was perfect for hanging out at night or on rainy days.
Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

This was our fourth year visiting Camp Betty. Our family loves this rustic but cozy camp. We had quite a bit of rain this year but we were still able to enjoy the camp. It is set up quite well so that you don’t feel on top of each other. The large screened in porch over looks the pond and is a very relaxing place to sit and enjoy coffee or have your lunch. There are lots of games and books to read if you need them. Once the weather improved the kids did tons of swimming. We were able to get out on the water in the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat that are all provided. We also did a bit of fishing and frog catching in the cove. It’s a very nice private spot where you can relax in a hammock right down by the water. There a good chance that you’ll see some beautiful Loons! Camp Betty is also conveniently located near grocery stores as well as other retailers in case you need/ forgot anything. Dallas is a wonderful host who is there for whatever you need. If you are looking for a fun but relaxing camp experience, this is the place to be!!

We really enjoyed our time in Maine at Camp Betty! Rainy days and nights cozied up on the beautiful covered porch, plenty of unique books, games, puzzles available, loons calling across the pond, cozy kitchen great for preparing meals…

We stayed at Camp Betty for a week while exploring the streams and lakes in the area by canoe. The cabin is on a quiet pond and we found it to be clean and comfortable.

A perfect place to stay. Quiet and beautiful location. Great Wi-Fi and plenty of room made it easy for two of us to work remotely. Really good kitchen amenities. Comfy bed. Thank you, Dallas.

We loved using Camp Betty as our home base to tour Maine! We traveled west, north and east and had a great time. Loads of quick trips nearby too. We had everything we needed and Dallas was very attentive to any needs.

Pleasant week at Camp Betty. Great jumping off point for traveling to other cities and towns in Maine - Boothbay, Rangeley, St George. We only needed to contact Dallas to change out the propane tank for the grill and he was very responsive! House is exactly as described in the write up and had everything we needed for a week long stay.

Wonderful family getaway. Time spent swimming, catching frogs, boating, reading on the porch. Games to play and books to read. It was big enough that we weren't on top of each other. I would 100% recommend

A great summer camp with spectacular swimming in a very clean spring fed pond. The screened in porch was a great place to play games , eat meals and just hang out. The yard was prefect with a fire pit and plenty of space to play corn hole and run around the yard.

The best week of summer
We have stayed at Camp Betty for the past 3 years and it is easily our favorite week of the summer! Our family loves this fun yet peaceful getaway. The camp is set on a cove so you feel like you have lots of privacy. We love to sit on the large screened in porch at all times of the day to take in the beautiful setting or watch the kids swimming in the cove. Camp Betty is well equipped for activities inside and outside. Kayaks, a canoe, a rowboat, and a paddle boat are all available for use to get out on the water. There are lawn games to play and 2 fire pits for roasting marshmallows. Swimming in the cove if perfect for small children but there is a deeper area of the pond that we had access to where the kids could swim and jump off the dock. The camp is set up really well for larger families. It’s pretty spacious so you don’t feel on top of each other. There are heat pumps in the downstairs of the camp so you can keep it a comfortable temperature. The kitchen is stocked with most pots, pans and utensils needed to make your own meals. The grill is amazing and we used to almost every day! Camp Betty is also close to grocery stores and others, so it is easy to run out and get anything you may need. Dallas and Emily are the most amazing hosts. Always ready to help or answer any questions you may have. They have definitely created a wonderful destination to relax and enjoy some family time!!! We absolutely love Camp Betty!!!

Great time/ great experience
We had the best time! My Fiance and I have a big, blended family. 8 kids between the both of us, then all of the grandkids on top of that. They all got to enjoy the camp as well here and there. Not everybody stayed at once, but there was plenty of space. Saturday was dreary do we had an amazing day on the big porch playing all of the games provided. Everybody loved all the boats provided too. Thank you so much for having us! I enjoy another stay sometime.

Camp Betty is a gem. The pond is so clear and quiet and it was fun to canoe the lake. Lots of turtles sunning themselves. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting. There are also some nice hikes nearby.
The cabin is well equipped and comfortable!

Rest and Relaxation
This was the perfect spot to spend a week. Just 10 minutes outside of Augusta and centrally located for a family to gather for vacation. There are 4 bedrooms, a large dining area and a spacious screened in deck. We also had access to a private dock with multiple boats the use on Ward Pond. There is a brand new grill as well as multiple fire pits including one right next to the water. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the location.

Lovely time! We're a back-to-nature couple, and our experience staying at Dallas and Emily's did not disappoint--it had it all!! We were rarely in the cabin, mostly hanging out on the little dock, or swinging in the hammock. We saw all kinds of creatures; from the little pickerel frog, who jumped high everytime we came ashore in the canoe, to the big eagle who sat in the tree (opposite the dock) watching us. We loved the herons flying over, and one stopped-in at the end of our cove to do a little fishing. If we weren't on the water paddling around, we were IN the water swimming to the BIG Rock, or anywhere else it would take us. Oh yes... the loons popped up several times, always surprising us by their sudden presence. At night we laid back on the dock and watched the meteorite showers. After a week our souls were full and our cup runneth over. What more could you ask for?

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Our children swam easily and safely right off the dock, we enjoyed the boats available, and spent hours next to the lake just relaxing. Emily and Dallas are welcoming, cool, lovely, and the ideal hosts. The house is great for a family with a porch you can enjoy during any weather, any time of the day. Thank you, thank you!!

We as a a growing family have been renting various homes in Maine for a week or two each summer for fifteen years. This property is simply excellent. Nothing fancy, just a very clean home and spectacular surroundings. A true camp but with a lot of comfort. Very well maintained. Everything worked, everything was clean and the owners obviously care a great deal. I would highly recommend to anyone, particularly those that love to be on the water. We loved it!

We enjoyed our stay at camp Betty. My kids had a blast swimming and we all had a great time fishing, playing cornhole and horseshoes. The two fire pits were a great time also. One by the water and one up by the camp. All fire wood was split and readily available which was nice. We used the grill almost everyday. The camp was clean and we really enjoyed the screens on deck. The only thing that I could say that was a little of a negative thing was there is no A/C and we had three days where it was over 90 and humid and man was it hot! There were fans available that did help some. But other than that we had a total blast!! The owners are very polite and nice and we appreciate them allowing us to rent this little piece of heaven. I hope to come back!

Another great week
This was our second time at Camp Betty and even though it poured rain a few days we still had a total blast. There is a little heater that kept us toasty and the camp is stocked with lots of games and books to read. On the warm and sunny days our family enjoyed swimming, kayaking, using the paddle boat, and lawn games all of which are provided by the camp. S’mores by the fire are a must! The camp is on a quiet peaceful cove. There are several spots around the camp including the huge screened in porch that overlooks the pond to enjoy your morning coffee and take in the setting. The camp is rustic but roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is equip with pretty much everything you need to cook your meals. There is also a grill which we used quite a bit. You feel like your tucked away but if you need to run to the grocery store your only about 20 mins away. Camp Betty is the perfect peaceful but super fun family getaway.

Beautiful and amazing.
The owners met us in the driveway. Dallas and Emily are two of the nicest people I have met. They made your we knew where everything is that we would need. And they have everything you need for your trip to cook, sleep, shower, and enjoy the lake. Only thing you will need is your groceries, they even have the coffee filters for you. We stayed with 3 adults and 4 kids. Sleeping arrangements were great, clean sheets and comfortable mattresses. They even have a great fire ring to enjoy some s’mores.
Heard the loons a few times. Seen a kingfisher in Doaky Cove. Caught fish off the dock and in several spots throughout the lake. Kids loved using the paddle boat, canoe, kayaks (2) and several tubes provided by the owners.
Next time we find ourselves in the Belgrade Region we will definitely be staying here.

We loved the location. There were plenty of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats. Nice family get together place. There were a great amount of board games, yard games, and books/magazines to keep everyone busy and happy. The only problem we had was a difference in check-out times listed by Vrbr and what the hosts had thought was the check-out. It made for a very uncomfortable time at the end. The hosts said they would contact Vrbr and get it straightened out.

September getaway
We were a group of 3 older adults and spent 5 nights at Camp Betty and they were peaceful and relaxing. We love the screen porch. The cottage is very comfortable. The kayaks were put to good use as we enjoyed paddling on the pond. Lots of bird watching. Camp Betty is very well equipped, all you need is to pick up your groceries. Emily and Dallas are great hosts and very responsive. I highly recommend Camp Betty.

Perfect get away
The place was clean, adorable and everything we needed was there. The only small complaint would be the couch was horribly uncomfortable. But wouldn't deter us from coming again
