The property was well equipped and ideal for our group of 8 with all beds able to be made up as singles. The property is excellent value for money for large groups and the pub next door but one served great food with a warm friendly atmosphere. The scones on arrival were a nice touch.
The upstairs toilet was slow to flush. But there were two other WCs in the property.

Great property with good facilities

Our stay at Millward House was exceptional. The hosts were friendly and quick in replying to messages. The property is located in a beautiful village in the Peak District. There was plenty of room for a family of 7. The facilities within the property made our stay very comfortable; there is a washer, dryer, large oven, dishwasher, baby facilities and two bathrooms.
We will definitely be staying again!

The property was beautiful, very tastefully decorated a place I would have liked to live in permanently.
My husband found the bed uncomfortable however he does suffer with a bad back so I feel this is his problem rather than the beds.

Wonderful house in a beautiful village. The beds/pillows are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious & stylish with lovely soft towels. The house was lovely & warm thanks to a hive heating system and log burner. The key safe is easy to use & we had a couple of messages from the owners who seem very friendly & helpful. We had read that the kitchen needs renovating, and we saw a comment from the owners in the visitors book which said they are hoping to do that next year, it will be amazing if they do, however we managed perfectly well with it as it is. We cooked both nights, and it is very well stocked with utensils, pans etc. The owners had left milk, cake & biscuits which was a very nice touch. The patio/garden is beautiful.
Not the fault of the owners, but it is such a shame that all of the pubs in the village have closed down.

Location was great, village was beautiful. The accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and homely.
The village pub was closed, but no fault of the owners, I understand it will re open soon.

A traditional slightly quirky house with with styling modern bathrooms. We enjoyed the sunny patio. Clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen.

Millward house is 4 bedroom cottage in the small town of Longnor, 5 miles fromBuxton .
Highlights : well furnished and thoughtfully equipped for a week stay , friendly approachable hosts John Kindly agreed for our dog to stay with us. The house itself is in the high street , with a fish and chips , with convenience store and easy access to walking trails. For more choice of restaurants or shopping , we could drive to Buxton which is about 15 to 20 minutes by car .The location and Longnor surroundings were beautiful.
There is no car park to the property, but the market square was free most of the time to park at no extra cost
The Longnor village did not have many roadside pavements, which means walking the dog in the road itself was tricky, as the speed limit in the roads where about 60 mph .

Huge property. Really well equipped with plenty of kitchenware, a washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, Hoover etc. Beds all super comfortable. Cosy with the log burner going in the evening. Great location for exploring.
Stairs carpet is quite worn and slippery. (Not great combination with the very steep and uneven nature of them.) On the whole the condition of the property is fine and in more recently refurbished areas it’s very good, but in a few places the internal fixtures and fittings and decor could do with a little tlc.
