Location location location

Location was first class 5 minite walk to the high street Used the cliff lift on the way down to the main road along the front of Southend Situated just across the road from the hotel Went on the train to the end of the pier another 5 min walk from the cliff lift. Location wise 100%

Only minor problem was car park full but used Ringo at £11 for the day Free parking on the road from 6 at night to 8 in the morning Wardens out early early but not a problem if you use Ringo but you do need pay at 8 in the morning

Celebrated my girfriends 18th

Beautiful hotel. would stay again

Only down side is the parking, there was no spaces and the it is very expensive to park close by

The bathroom facilities & housekeeping issues were very disappointing

Location is excellent. Staff were attentive. Breakfast was good

In our room there was rubbish and sanitary product in the bin . Also sharp piece of broken glass found on the bed Told staff & received a room change & upgrade . In new room no soap in the dispenser in shower , toilet didn’t flush properly & low shower sprayed everywhere & unable to target direction to avoid it flooding .

Very good

The staff were excellent, very professional and friendly. On arrival they had no record of my booking but on presenting my booking reference everything was sorted out. The location was excellent for the event I was attending only a few minutes walk away. If you wanted to go to the beach or pier the cliff lift was just across the road.

That my booking had not been passed to the hotel.

The bottle water provided was tap water. Would have been nice if bottled water was in the room.

Lovely weekend away but disappointed with the service at breakfast, let the hotel down!

Apart from the issue above it was a pleasant place to stay and rest of staff was polite and friendly it’s ashame this sm

Was clean , quiet, good location and relaxing and friendly staff

I left a postage box in my room to send a present in and it was not there after room service had cleaned the room and reception was not helpful or very interested in sorting the problem out and I was charged an extra £3:50 to my card ?

Small quaint efficient however I sense a few changes coming

A great central place stay and ideal for business purposes.

Great location, car parking available and extremely helpful friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and clean. Dinner was a good experience and again friendly staff.

The reception area is quite small and situated right in front of the main entrance making it awkward when registering and checking out particularly if there is a queue.

It was a nice room for the night close to the theatre

Shower in the room , the controls were outside the shower cubicle the other side of the bathroom which was frustrating to be able to set the temperature also a waste of water as not wanting to turn shower off in between washing . Water also flooded the floor out into bedroom carpet

Room was clean & a good size Breakfast was well cooked but needed a bit of finesse

Room was a little cold Outside room was a large generator which ran on and off through the night

It was ok but would not book again. For the price per room I would have expected better.

The location was excellent. Decor was nice & outside seating area was lovely.

The temperature in the hotel was astounding. The room was 32 degrees & had to keep switching air con on & off all night. Phone line didn’t work to order room service and had to get ready to go to reception to order some. Did not get any discount for the inconvenience of it.

Enjoyed my stay.

Great rooms that are tastefully decorated. Everything feels very clean and new. Can be good value for money if you shop around for a last minute offer.

Views from the rooms at the side/back are not very nice, but not the hotel’s fault. The temperature in the corridors was crazy hot - 27 degrees C. Informed the staff on arrival but nothing done about it. Such a waste of energy, and makes the rooms hot (which you then use the aircon to cool, wasting yet more energy..).

It was clean and the staff were very helpful.

There were riot vans and police all throughout the Friday night. I had no sleep at all.

Everything honestly could not have asked for a more amazing time. The food is excellent and the sea view rooms are amazing. Wonderful staff too. I’ve had the most wonderful time

I won’t be staying here again

The worst experience extremely underwhelming I found 2 condom wraps in my room I was so repalsed then i was put in a room where the T.V didnt work..then moved a a 3rd time to somewhere appropriate I was very disappointed dirty dishes in the lift corridors.

Perfect place in the heart of Southend

Very Central, beautiful hotel, gorgeous rooms and all the necessary facilities! I booked for a wedding but the stay was so wonderful I felt like I had a mini vacay :)

Everything was great-the staff are extremely accommodating!
