About this house rental
The Home is located in an very safe area - as a matter of fact, the area won the Orlando "Neighborhood Watch of the Year" designation in 2018 making our home perfect for family stays as well as "Business Travel Ready". So whether you are in town for work or pleasure, this authentic, mid-century residence is the perfect retreat to settle in and feel like it's the next best thing to home. From the natural light, Zen garden with lush plants and fountains, to the incredible location, you are going to thoroughly enjoy your stay, and we expect you will be back again soon. You'll feel cozy in the large living room, complete with TV and Foosball table for fun.
A large kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, plenty of dishes and cookware (pots, pans, toaster, waffle maker, blender, etc) opens to a large dining area. Each bedroom has a king size bed with plenty of space and there are two bathrooms (both with large skylights), including en-suite in the master for added convenience and privacy. There is also a laundry room on site.
Entering the home, the living room welcomes you with a relaxing warmth and charm. There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The hallway off the dining area leads to the three spacious and cozy bedrooms all with king size beds, ceiling fans and cable TVs! (*there is a queen size, self inflating air mattress available to use as well for extra sleeping!). The two other separate bedrooms share the hallway full bathroom. In addition to the Foosball table in the living area, there is an XBOX1 in the "kids" room for all to enjoy....We invite you to enjoy the beautifully landscaped front and back yards. The front yard was revamped in 2018 by Mika and I. The backyard took much longer (a year!) as we xeriscaped it (again ourselves) and poured and hand-laid the stone sidewalk on the right side of the yard! You will enjoy the beautiful sunshine as well as a shady pergola.. all while relaxing to the bubbling backyard centerpiece fountains as you grill out on the propane grill...
We want to be transparent in that there are NO cameras or recording devices anywhere within the home. There is, however, one security camera under the carport facing the street.
Our home is very short walk to Lake Underhill. Lake Underhill has a nice paved, safe and well lighted walking trail with multiple exercise challenges/stations located around the lake. Our drive from home is just a few minute drive from the heart of downtown Orlando (Amway Arena, home of the Orlando Magic basketball team, Dr. Philips Performing Arts Center, Citrus Bowl, etc.), 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport, 20 minutes from ALL the theme parks, and 20 min from University of Central Florida (UCF, home of the 2018 NCAA football champions😉). The home is also conveniently located near the downtown hospitals (Arnold Palmer, Orlando Regional and Advent Health/Florida Hospital)
There are a multitude of things to see and do, as well as restaurants to enjoy, regardless of your taste. Mika and I would be glad to recommend places if you like :) We particularly enjoy visiting Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. Lake Eola is the "landmark" Lake seen in all the publicity photos of Orlando. The LARGE and beautiful area offers a variety of neat things to see and do (coffee shops, restaurants). Home to LARGE swans, ducks, geese, etc. you never know what you will see. Also, there are "Swan" shaped paddle boats available for rent to cruise the lake. Every Sunday (weather permitting) from 10am to 4pm, the Lake Eola Farmers Market is in full swing with roughly 100 vendors and food choices.
For those that enjoy plays and theater, the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts center usually has something each weekend to enjoy. In addition, whew, there's lots to do and East/West Expressway (408) is just around the corner with access to I-4 or the Beachline. So, whether you're work, Disney or beach bound, you'll have easy access to all!
There is a lot of local fare and food nearby including some of our favorites – be sure to check out: The Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar + Sandwich Shop on Bumby, East End Market on Corrine Drive, (Sushi Lola, also on Corrine favorite sushi place) all the delicious multi-cultural foodie spots in the Mills 50 and "Milk" Districts, The Market on South Street, great for vegan/vegetarian comfort food (you will NOT believe the pulled pork is NOT pork, it's jack fruit!), the Hourglass District restaurants and bars including Foxtail Coffee (better than, ahem, Starbucks :), Claddagh Cottage and Pizza Bruno.

Everything was as promised.

This house has nice size bedrooms and a primary suite with a private bathroom. The living room and dining table have ample seating and the kitchen is a very wide comfortable galley style with all tools and appliances you could need. We were in town for a wedding so this house was well located between the couple’s place and wedding venue. The neighborhood is charming and you have easy access to all manor of great restaurants and entertainment. Nothing was more than 15 min away. The house was lovely and inviting from the landscaping to the living room.

Five family members and friends came from out of town for the weekend to attend a play downtown. The property was perfect for us. It was easy to get downtown. It was close to food and gas. The facility itself was clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed and a lot of extras. We had room to spread out and visit. We had a delightful time. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

Great spot for a quick visit to the downtown Orlando area. The house has everything you need, super clean…and it is a pet-friendly home! The area is peaceful and the house is just steps away from the Underhill Lake walking/biking trail. Excellent communication with owner. We will definitely be back!!

A very relaxing and welcoming home which is near a lovely lake with a walking path and benches for sitting. The covered parking is a definite plus. The interior is spacious and very clean and comfortable with a large picture window and bench with a view of the back yard that is landscaped to promote privacy and relaxing family time. Lots of natural light. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and roomy. We found it easy to drive to where we needed. All in all, a very calm relaxing private home in a lovely family-oriented neighborhood. The hosts are very responsive and welcoming.

No complaints at all. One of the highlights of my holiday was this peaceful, cozy and beautiful place, would recommend it 100%.

We loved staying at this home. It is very cozy and yet spacious. The beds are very comfy. The hosts were very nice and accommodating and provided all the amenities you need to make your stay easy. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. It was about a 15-20 drive from Disney, which was perfect. I just hope that this property is available the next time we vacation in Orlando.

This was a wonderful home with lots of space and all of the accessories needed for a home away from home. The street was lovely with most of the homes decorated for the holidays. The location is conveniently located. The beds are comfortable, the wifi works great. We never did figure out the TV in the master bedroom but there are TV's in each bedroom and the living room, bring your own subscriptions. Owners responded quickly and check in and out was easy. We would definately stay here again. Thank you.

We were a group of 5 40 year old adults. This is a great property to stay at for daily visits to Disney/Universal. about 20-30 minute drive to the parks. Three king size beds that were decently comfy. Nice size driveway for cars. All we did was sleep here so no opinions on the other amenities of the house. Everything looked great, clean, and ready for action though.
I will say that if you’d like to sleep comfortably past sunrise, bring a sleep mask. Only one of the bedrooms has curtains and that morning sun is bright.
All in all, a great place to lay your head after a full day of walking around Disney.

This property was amazing. I've stayed in quite a few in the past, but this one I can see us coming back to. Very comfortable for a family of 5; kids had lots of fun activities including the foosball table, but also the gaming consoles and boardgames. The yard was just so relaxing. It was clean, comfortable and overall a great property. The owners were also so communicative - you can tell they truly care about the property and those staying in it. All around amazing!

What a beautiful and well kept property. Close to all the major attractions, yet a very peaceful neighborhood. Very kind, thoughtful, and accommodating owners who went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. My kids did not want to leave, and want to come back again. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Great location, cozy little house, very clean and quiet neighborhood. Only complaint was lawn care company showed at 7 am I’m the morning to mow the lawn.

Very cute rambler with lots of charm/character, we kept calling it our little “bungalow” in the city. Loved that it was close (within 30 mins) to theme parks/shopping/big city, but did NOT feel like you were in the city. Neighborhood was very quiet, walking trial around lake Underhill was nice. Doug was VERY easy to get a hold of, and very communicative throughout the entire process. Stayed there with our parents for the week leading up to our wedding, and they even had a little welcoming chalkboard sign up with our names on it. Power went out briefly during a storm, but we were able to easily find a very bright flashlight/lantern in the closet and had fun playing card games at the kitchen table until it came back on. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location away from traffic but close to shopping; safe, friendly neighborhood for walking and having the park near by was an extra bonus. The home was spacious yet cozy, very clean, comfortable furniture and beds and the wonderful backyard was perfect for relaxing. We loved the natural landscape and checking the sundial time. Would definitely recommend.

Neighborhood is well established and felt very safe! Home is VERY clean and beautifully decorated! Backyard provided some great relaxation with the Zen garden and pergola! Beds are so comfy and the owners are quick to reply at all times! All we needed for our weekend was available there. Also, the owners graciously allowed us an early check in so we could freshen up before our wedding rehearsal! Great stay and would definitely stay again!

I was very impressed with the space and pictures of the listing online, however it was better in person. Although my stay was very brief my goal was to relax for two day with my family. The property made relaxing very easy. The home was very spacious. The rooms and decor was very inviting. The game room for the children was a major hit for the three boys. The host made my trip very easy. I really didnt have to shop for much, there were complimentary coffee/teas, sodas, water, condiments, icy freeze pops for the kids etc. They thought of everything. I felt at home spent to wonderful game nights with my grandchildren and great night walks near the lake before heading to our Disney part of the vacation. The property is close to all shopping needs, I truly recommend this place if your looking for space, comfort and pure relaxing. Its my hope to enjoy it again soon. This time just for me 😊

It was a pleasure staying at Doug and Mika's house in Orlando. First, the house is perfect for family gatherings and is loaded with amenities that make a larger group comfortable. We had 8 total in our group and everyone had plenty of room. The house was clean, well maintained, private, and in an excellent location. We will definitely rent this home again the next trip to Orlando. Thank you Doug and Mika for making our stay safe and comfortable!

The hosts were very accommodating from the initial inquiry. They were very helpful and responded quickly. We felt like they had personally invited us! The home is super comfortable and clean. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Most attractions are just a small jaunt away and there is a nice grocery store just down the road a bit. The neighborhood is quiet and we walked our dogs and felt safe at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again should we visit the area. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area. Again, the hosts made renting this property so easy. Love it.

What a wonderful experience! We were welcomed with a warm message on a chalk board as we entered. This property is in a great location; close to the airport and just a short drive to Amway Arena. The house was very clean and the backyard is serene. Having 3 king beds gave us all ample beds space.
