Perfect stay for our family

Good service, the lady at the reception was really kind and friendly and we were very pleased that we were giving 2 interconnected rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids. A good hotel for families. Nice breakfast too.

Very good stay

Close to conference venue and food places. Restaurant in hotel had brilliant menu and worked hard to meet my food allergy.

Distance from train station with no public transport available that we could determine. 90% of close food places closed solid on the Sunday.

Great family hotel

Staff very friendly, excellent breakfast, kids eat free at dinner! Pool superb. Special thanks to Angie in the restaurant for making our evening meal so enjoyable and to the pool team for finding a pool slot for us!

Fire alarm at 5am! Not the hotels fault though obviously!

A poor hotel that still thinks Covid sub-standard performance is OK today.

Breakfast was basic but good and well prepared. Staff were pleasant. Car parking was good.

No room cleaning “unless you requested” and when you found d out and requested it was “too late”. No food available until after 6:00. If I was I a Youth Hostel I don’t mind making my own beds, sorting my own towels, fetching my tea etc - except I’m paying £300 for 2 nights not £50. Another hotel that thinks it can deliver sub standard performance post Covid. Pay your staff and deliver hotel service.

Nice hotel, but disappointed we weren't informed of things at time of booking.

Lovely swimming pool.

We told 1 week before we couldn't use the restaurant. We were a party of 26. Then to be told we could eat in the bar if we pre ordered. Then 24 hours later, that was cancelled.

Convenient, easy access, all under one roof

No USB sockets in room, a must nowadays for all rechargeable items, not just the phone but also some medical equipment. Dance floor was poor quality in the function room, it was poorly assembled and when gaps formed between the boards I broke my shoe.

Very central to retail parks and shopping centre.. the staff couldn’t do enough for you and the cleanliness of the hotel was amazing. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel and I will definitely be returning.

Not much to say negative. We were unable to eat dinner in the hotel due to Xmas parties being hosted but that’s expected this time of year. Luckily we were very close to other restaurants etc.

Great venue, excellent training venue and bonus free parking

Breakfast as ever was very enjoyable and set me up for the days learning, as I was attending a Rospa 2 day training event. The bed was comfortable, not so the pillows as I am spoilt when at home by my own Simba Pillow, and if everywhere had one in the trade then I would find sleeping in not my own bed so much more enjoyable. The other thing I find when travelling is the need for synthetic duvets rather than feather and down like I have at home, also the ones I find in the trade are often a higher TOG rating

The high Tog ratted Synthetic duvet, as this did not breath like a feather and down duvet. Also the pillows, as nearly every stay place away from home I have used just doesn't have a Simba pillow like mine at home

Such a lovely place made that my visit to Telford even better.

I enjoyed the breakfast. Such a good selection of either Full English or continental. So all tastes were catered for. The staff were all so friendly and chatted with me every morning making sure everything was okay or even just a random good morning when I passed them in the corridor. Special shout though to Alex and Marium who went above and beyond to provide great customer service.

I didn't like that this Holiday Inn express didn't have 24 hour food like the last one I had stayed in. I stupidly hadn't ate on my journey and really needed something by the time I arrived for check in and I had unfortunately just missed the lunch or snack menu. Also I was out late Sunday night and managed to just miss the dinner menu also.

The breakfast was lovely all the staff was very accommodating for our situation with our son being severely immunocompromised we went in the area away from others which was very helpful..

It would have been nice to have clean towels the next morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our very comfortable stay in the Holiday Inn and would definitely return.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. It made a real difference to the atmosphere in the hotel. Bed was very comfortable and room nice and spacious. All very clean. Breakfast and dinner were good.

Shower was not powerful enough. Hotel generally could do with a facelift.
