Good location to stay if you want to spend time in the old city

Enjoyed the breakfast which we paid additional for. The hotel was in a great location at the end of the hauptstrasse so easy to go around the old city of Heidelberg. Room was clean and large enough for 4 people. Staff were very nice and helpful - they were kind enough to let us do a late check-out so that we could keep our luggage in our room which was very kind.

The weather was very hot and there was a fan on the floor but it was not sufficient for four people - very uncomfortable night, it was very difficult to sleep as there was no breeze coming in. Also there was no iron in the room nor a fridge.

The question: Bonus question - Coronavirus safety measures: Were social distancing rules followed? is irrelevant as these rules were not in place (except for public transport) when I was there.

Heidleberg well worth a visit

Its fine, clean, good location. Basic but good/

No one at reception, it took me a while to work out how to take a key out of the digi-box. No lift in old building.

we are satisfied.

the property was located in the City center. Shops,Restaurant and Heidelberg Castle is very near. the hotel is near the Bus station. ☺️ They offer breakfast from 7-10 am i think. self check in.

the curtain is a bit uncomfortable cause we didn't know if people from outside can see us.

very basic hotel but in a good location

no staff present on arrival - felt like we were staying in a hotel. carpets and communal areas felt very tired. room smelt a bit damp. no parking

Stay was ok, location was great, and room was clean, but definitely disappointed.

The location was at the edge of Old Town Heidelburg where you could walk to everything.

The heater in the bedroom did not work which made the room very cold (winter). The bathroom door handle was broken and when told to staff they went into the room, but didn't fix it (not try the handle just saw it was on and ignored even testing it), the bed sunk in the middle immediately from overuse. When we tried to buy a breakfast, we thought we bought it (price a lot higher than Booking.com price) but when we went to eat, we were told we didn't pay for breakfast but paid the actual price for the room (from $211 changed to $248). Since you had to have a test and both vaccinations or a booster in the city suddenly to eat luckily, we had purchased a dessert and kept it in the room from earlier otherwise, we wouldn't have had food the last day.

THE PLACE IS NOT WORTH A TITLE

Everything, this was my worst hotel stay experience ( I have travelled around the world a lot) , however this place was like a ghost house, except me there was hardly anyone , reception open only until 11am, he was not at all friendly, a request for an extension for an hour to check out, despite the hotel being empty, was not allowed, ( I understand it is there discretion, but come on..), pls think before you book at this place

Very good

Very clean, near the local shopping area.

Hotel is located on an little walking alley off the main shopping walks. It was a hard to find at 2000. There was no staff after 2000. Guests were to enter the booking number in a locked box to retrieve their key. However, the box didn't work. Fortunately, a evening staff person came to check the place and let us in.

Nothing to be honest

Only book this hotel if you just want a bed. There are no facilities, no WIFI, No kettle, Coffee or fridge. THIS IS A NO THRILLS SLEEP ONLY kind of hotel. If you are tight for money this is ideal otherwise spend an extra £100 and get basic facilities included. Also they dont answer the phone until 5 times, and instructions are not clear. After 11am receptions closed and there is no help. So if you arrive after use your booking ref no and make sure you go to the right hotel.

Excellent location, close to the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing bad about this hotel, the only thing we could have wanted was a room fridge, although this doesn’t appear to be common in Germany.

Bad experience

only being in city center

the breakfast was disaster, limited varieties and for such a money you can have a much better breakfast in the city center. It was very expensive and not worthy the value. They guy who cleans the rooms didn't add toilet papers although the paper holder was empty. not recommended if you have a baby trolley, you have to go many stairs up! no elevator!
