I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived until the time I left. I did not need to use the little German I know as English was spoken. Breakfast was very good, with an outstanding selection. The evening meals provided at the weekend were excellent. The local ski slope was within walking distance but unfortunately was not in use due to a lack of snow but I used the Feldberg slopes which, (by car) are only 10 minutes or so away. In a number of ways the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me in a number of ways.

I normally don’t rate 10/10 but our stay at Haus Sommerberg was amazing! we felt very welcome when we checked in. Bettina is the best hostess, the room was very clean, it was quit and we slept very well. the breakfast was amazing, fresh and homemade! We regretted that we only stayed for one night.

Betty and Peter are a very nice couple, they care about the guests with love. They are very helpful, Peter drove me out of the train station the arrival day a down there on my departure day. Betty gave me some worth tips where to go and when :D I had a wonderful time in Schwarzwald.
The menu in restaurants in general is very expensive, out of my budget. The worst thing ever was, that there was no tanked beer anywhere, only bottled. :D

The staff are super helpful and friendly. Felt immediately welcome. Was even offered to charge the car but didn't need it. Great location with the classic sound of cowbells. Great breakfast with home made butter which was a first for them, so not afraid to try things.
I can't think of anything.

Pieter & Bettina were superb hosts. The pension is very comfortable, clean with friendly staff and amazing food. It was a joy to come off the ski slopes and look forward to relaxing followed by a gourmet dinner.
There's no question that Covid has influenced the tourist numbers. Also particular masks ( not the ones we use in The Netherlands) were preferred. NOTE : You need to be fully vaccinated and boostered to enjoy the slopes or enter shops.

A small hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere and very nice and helpful staff. Our room was very large with a balcony and spacious bathroom. The region is very beautiful and the hotel itself has a lovely small garden. Breakfast is served at the table and mostly everything you may want can be provided.
The pillows are not good for me.

We like our hosts, Bettina and Peter very much. They made our stay at Haus Sommerberg very memorable with their more than 5-star quality service and personal touch for every guest that stayed with them. The dinners provided at the hotel is highly recommended because the food is prepared by a real chef with lots of home-made ingredients. The room is nice and spacious. Breakfast and dinner can take place either indoor or outdoor on the balcony with nice views of mountains. The location is excellent as it is close to many hiking trails and the Feldberg cable car station, and it is also not far from the Bade Paradise. Highly recommended. We certainly would like to come back again.
I like everything.
