The Little House at Wild Meadow is “in town” but away from it all on a private road with a crooked stream, wild lupine fields and lush gardens. Repeat guests are frequent and accolades common. The Little House features vintage hand-cut beams, an airy living room, high ceilinged master bedroom, cozy twin bedroom, galley kitchen with open dining area, large skylit bathroom and small deck. Also includes a separate cedar-shingled "Wash House" with washer/dryer for guest use. A short walk to the shops and restaurants of Southwest Harbor. Easy access to everything MDI and Acadia has to offer: lakes, hiking, biking trails and ocean. Includes free highspeed WIFI. The perfect spot for spring, summer and fall vacations. A cozy, comfortable place with an incredibly well-stocked kitchen in terms of supplies for cooking. A great home base for exploring Mt. Desert Island. We loved it.

Elena, Terry and Pip were great hosts and the Little House is a wonderful place to stay. Easy access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. After a day spent outdoors, it was nice to come back and be able to relax. The Little house is very peaceful and well kept. We really enjoyed sitting out in the garden area and reading or talking about the day. Wonderful place, great vacation. Jay & Christie Provo 6/24

We loved our time at The Little House. The location is stunning, it is right by Acadia but also close to the shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor. We were here for the MDI Marathon and really enjoyed the stay. The house is clean and very cute with everything you'd need.

Beautiful property in a fantastic location! We loved being able to walk to town for breakfast and easy access to all of the sections of Acadia. Elena was a wonderful host, we loved the insider tips. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay in a perfect place and fantastic location. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped with all the kitchen tools you could possibly need. I brought my popover pans to make popovers and had access to all the necessary kitchen gadgets. The location is close to hiking, biking, restaurants, shopping and really anywhere you want to go on MDI. So nice to come back to a quiet, peaceful place after days filled with adventure. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a 5 star experience. The house was comfortable, clean and cozy. The decor was so cute. The outdoor space was so inviting. I would rent again in a heartbeat.

Very convenient location in close proximity to Acadia Nat'l Park sites, Southwest Harbor Main Street and to all of Mount Desert Island. Lovely garden to relax and read after time spent hiking or biking. Pip, the owner's dog, is a friendly added value benefit.

Loved the Little House! Great location in Southwest Harbor, lovely garden (lupines were amazing), super clean, comfortable beds, well equipped, and tons of charm! Elena is a wonderful host as well as Pip, the dog! Highly recommend.

The Little House was a wonderful place to stay while we were visiting Acadia National Park. It had every amenity that we could possibly need in a beautiful, peaceful setting, while being close enough to the park to hike each day. Elena was a wonderful host. We loved having coffee and watching the deer in the field every morning and sitting on the porch in the late afternoon.

My husband, 1.5 year old daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Elena, Terry and Pip's. The house has everything you need, nothing you don't, and is in a fabulous location on MDI. Would love to come back again someday!

Great location for SW Harbor events. Not that far away from Bar Harbor and its activities. Milagro coffee shop within walking distance. The cottage could be improved with a firmer sofa for lounging or tv watching. Great color scheme in rooms. Great size for two guests, and while there is another bedroom, it might be a stretch to have more than 2 guests.

The pictures really don't do the space justice. It's so bright and cozy. Location was perfect with easy access to the shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor (~15 minute walk) and a short drive to numerous hikes on the quiet side of MDI. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable place to retreat to after exploring the island!

We loved our time at the Little House—located in an off the beaten path village. Elena was great with knowing what was open/closed due to COVID and providing tips for local hikes and bites. The Little House was the perfect place to get a lot of relaxing and recharging done!

We so enjoyed our week staying in SW Harbor! The location of this house in wonderful - sitting in a field of lupines! The house is comfortable with a pretty back yard surrounded by gardens. We were very comfortable and relaxed, and the owner left a basket of goodies on the dining table!

We enjoyed staying on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The property itself was comfortable and quiet, and it was wonderful being in a place that not only tolerated our dog, but had a dog bed for her!

Elena’s Little House is perfect for your trip to MDI. This was our 8th or 9th trip to the island but our first time staying on the quietside and we loved it. The cottage is charming and cleanly and equipped with everything you need to make it home. We stayed with our 14 month old and he loved crawling around the beautiful backyard and garden. Elena and Pip the dog were lovely neighbors to have for the week. The only things we wished was that there were more sidewalks to walk from the house into town (town issue not Elena’s!) and that there was a small fire pit for evening fires in the beautiful Maine air. We will return for sure!

We had a wonderful weeklong stay at The Little House. We were coming from far away and behind schedule. I messaged Elena and she left the lights on for us. We appreciate her accommodating our late arrival and it very easy! Don’t think I ever had a property owner get back to me so quickly! We had everything we needed. Hopefully others don’t have to work but if you do, internet is spectacular! Would recommend to anyone to stay here. Great place, great property owner, and the flowers/gardens were terrific!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage! It was nice to chat with Elena and meet the friendly dog, Pip. The cottage had everything we needed and is so tastefully decorated - just perfect for our family of 4 and pup. The garden is very well maintained and it is so relaxing to spend time here - we could hear the birds chirp, the smell of lilacs in bloom was heavenly and I even saw a humming bird one time. It is at a quiet and convenient location to coffee shop (Milagro) and eateries. Highly recommend this secret gem and look forward to coming back here.

We had a lovely stay in The Little House! The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our long weekend. The location was perfect, on the 'quiet side', and was in close proximity to an awesome coffee shop and great dinner spots. Elena is a great host, would stay again!
