About this cottage rental
The warm golden glow of the Cotswold stone of Appletree Cottage welcomes you as you arrive at this traditional home. Dating back to the 18th century you find a balance between the old and the new creating a contemporary but characterful cottage.
Inside you find an exposed stone inglenook fireplace, beautiful soft furnishings, wooden beams and a comfortable atmosphere. There is a touch of luxury in the ornate décor making Appletree Cottage that bit more special. You instantly feel at home and are drawn to make a cup of tea and put your feet up in front of the fire. There is space to dine together, and family meals can be prepared in the modern kitchen which is complemented by traditional focal points. Each bedroom is a haven for relaxation with a focus on quality bedding and linen so you gently drift away after family days out.
The rear Mediterranean-style garden is perfect for dining alfresco on the terrace. Potted shrubs line the walkway to the gate which takes you straight out to the parking area. There is space for three cars parked end to end, a privilege hard to come by when staying in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Living/Dining Room:
This stylish room makes a feature of the original exposed stone wall which houses an inglenook fireplace and an electric wood burner effect fire. With a choice of seating, you can curl up on an armchair with a good book or sink into the sofa to enjoy a film on the Smart TV.
Tucked under the stairs is a dining area seating four. Making the most of the space you can have a quick breakfast or pull the table out for an evening meal together.
First Floor
Bedroom One:
The master bedroom has a touch of luxury with a king-size bed and soft button-back headboard. Our family of 4 had a great time at Apple Tree. The cottage is well thought out and easy to settle into. Our kids loved the window seat in the living room and the front yard. The fireplace was great for chilly mornings. Parking is easy and you can walk to a ton of shops, restaurants, and kids activities. Try the local hedge maze.

Absolutely perfect location. The home was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. We made great use of the patio area in the evenings. I highly recommend this property and would book it again.

Appletree Cottage was the perfect base for we three friends having a bit of a reunion and getaway. We loved relaxing in the lounge, with its view into the beautiful little garden; we made the most of the tables & chairs in the back garden; everything in the cottage is comfortable, practical and in perfect condition. The cottage is perfectly located -- on a quiet little street, with off-street parking, but only a few steps from all the action and easy access by car out to the wider world. Try the bakery just down the street and visit the Model Village -- great fun.
The cottage may be best suited to a family, as one of the three bedrooms is quite small, but that didn't really detract from our experience. Two of the bedrooms are served by a bathroom downstairs, but motion-sensitive lights make any middle-of-the-night journeys safe and easy. Bourton-on-the-Water is a very busy place, so not for those who don't like to share with their fellow tourists.
Arrival directions can be a bit confusing, but the cottage is on a very short street -- just look for the garage that says "Appletree Cottage."

Great location and lovely property. A bit smaller downstairs than expected but charming.
Note: Cafetière was broken and needed replacing before we arrived. A couple of bits of crockery had chips and should be discarded.

The cottage is in a fabulous location with lovely neighbours too!
All requirements & more in kitchen
Bedrooms are nicely furnished. The back bedroom could do with a mirror near to a plug.
Lounge is well furnished & very comfortable.
A lovely 3 nights.

Perfectly located, beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable. Less than 5 minutes from the heart of Bourton. You could not be in a better location. Master bedroom with ensuite and family bathroom downstairs. Lovely rear garden to relax in, weather permitting!! Only comment would be kitchen items were tired. (Pots, fry pan, crockery chipped)
We would highly recommend the property as we had a wonderful two weeks in Bourton on the Water.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The cottage was so lovely, warm and cosy, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, peaceful and quiet, yet within close walking distance of the restaurants and shops, which was ideal as we had my husband’s older parents with us. We would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

The most beautiful cottage… literally ‘the holiday’.
The cottage is so homely, warm and cosy, fully equipped and we had the best weekend!
Will definitely come back again!

We had a super weekend stay at Appletree cottage - really comfortable for us 5 ladies having a girls weekend away. The house is small but perfectly formed - excellent quality bedding (v comfortable) and well appointed. It was just what we needed and in a lovely location. Would very much recommend.

We have stayed at the cottage 3 times. It is clean and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need and very near to all ammenities. I had to go into hospital for an operation on the date we had booked to go to the cottage. I contacted Bolthole and they very kindly allowd me to rebook at a later date and at no extra cost, we were very grateful for their help.

Excellent location and service from Bolthole contact . Rooms and Bed were comfortable. Upstairs shower was not very functional.

Old flat not in great condition. Cobwebs everywhere and couches smell. Apart from that a good stay. G

An extremely well located cosy cottage.
We really enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree cottage. There were 5 of us for a weekend celebrating a special birthday. The cottage is in the best location in Bourton - easy to walk to every attraction and restaurant. The cottage is very well appointed in the kitchen and the living room is warm and cosy with the gas fireplace. There were only a couple of small drawbacks which brought the rating down a little. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is just a trickle. It is supposed to be a so called power shower but unfortunately, there is no power! All five of us were forced to shower in the downstairs shower in order to obtain any water pressure at all. Another small niggle was that there was only a quarter of a loo roll in the downstairs bathroom when we arrived which necessitated an immediate trip to the supermarket. Also, the heating did not come on twice a day as mentioned in the house information book. The towel rails never heated up at all, which meant we had to use damp towels. Again, these are small inconveniences that I hope the owner could address and would not stop us recommending Apple Tree cottage to others.

Lovely cottage, brilliant location
Very nice cottage, clean, warm, good parking, Wi-Fi, tv and everything right on the doorstep. Comfortable living room and good sized bedrooms.
Nice kitchen but one minor negative comment in that it might be time to update the pans and some of the sharp knives but other than that it has everything you need.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Still a lovely cottage although could be better. Better on previous stay.
We have stayed in this cottage before, about 4 years ago and that stay was superior for a few reasons.
There was no real welcome pack, on our previous stay we were greeted with cake, butter, milk, and a number of other items that made the first impression very strong. This is no longer offered.
Some of the furniture is becoming dated and tired (sofa's, bed etc).
That said, the cottage is in an excellent location and only a 2-minute walk from the main high street. It's very clean and tidy and comfortable. There is sky TV, wireless and a gas log burner which all make the stay very pleasant.
Parking is tight, so be warned if you have a 4x4 or similar sized vehicle as the drive is shared by 3 garages and narrows at the front.

Stunning cottage in a great location
I can’t fault this cottage, it was absolutely gorgeous. The location is central and is 50 feet from the main area of shops and pubs. The beds were comfortable, and the whole cottage was spotless. It was also great to have parking for 3 cars, so no having to stress about that. An excellent stay!

Lovely cottage
Just had a wonderful weeks stay at Appletree Cottage, the back garden was amazing and caught the evening sun. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and we felt very at home. Although it was only a few roads away from hustle and bustle of Bourton we couldn’t believe how peaceful it was. Highlights of the week was the riding at Bourton vale equestrian centre and the most amazing scones from the bakery called Bakery on the Water 3 minutes walk away. Overall a lovely stay.

Wonderful
This is the second time we've stayed at Appletree...such a charming and lovely cottage. The location is superb and it's decorated beautifully throughout.

A lovely cottage perfectly located in a breathtaking village.
Our third visit to Appletree Cottage which is snugly nestled in the gorgeous Bourton on the Water and we adore the warm welcome and cozy feel the cottage provides. The village and local area deliver a stunning landscape as well as having all the local amenities needed. It does what it says on the tin!!

You get what you see
From booking and deciding if Appletree was for us we should really not have thought twice, the cottage was exactly as advertised. A very comfortable and cozy cottage right beside the town center of Bourton-On-The-Water. The warmth and comfort, the cleanliness was second to none. Don't hesitate to book Appletree.

Good location. Cosy, comfortable and warm.
One of the party loved it so much, if ever the owners are thinking of selling she would be interested!

Excellent break
Excellent location and property was extremely clean. Only item that could be improved is the garden, it could do with being tidied up.

Bourton is great. Had a lovely time in this well-equipped cottage.

A perfect break in beautiful surroundings
The cottage was situated in a perfect position, one street back from the Main Street. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil and cook wear you could possibly need and was immaculately clean. The living area was comfortable and relaxing, the stable door brought some admiring glances from other tourists. The bedrooms were lovely and the white company bedding made it even more homely. I would highly recommend this cottage and look forward to going back at some stage.

Perfect location and lovely cottage
Exactly what we wanted for a mini break with two teens. Pretty front garden in the sunshine and beautifully furnised.

Cotswold Stay
Perfect cottage in a perfect setting and so clean! Thank you.

Perfect except...
A superb cottage in an dream loctrion in a heavenly town. Only problem was the uncountable cobwebs and spiderwebs all around the exteriors of the cottages at all levels.
Am sure something can be done about it. But having said that a definite must visit and must stay.
Had a memorable time with my family.
Cheers
